Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

Were those N3s scanned? Maybe the 5.00 sighting was yet another YMMV price for it although that is odd is that game's YMMV prices have always ended in .98.

Well 5.00 is not an uncommon price for clearance games still on the shelves. I know I saw DW5: Empires for 5.00 at one TRU and like 19.97 or 19.98 at another less than 6 miles away.

Actually, the .98 are national/regional clearance prices. The prices that end in .00 are store level clearance prices and are YMMV.

The NNN was scanned at my TRU I might go to another one tomorow to look for it
 
Hit two Detroit-area TRUs (Dearborn & Livonia) at lunch. Don't waste your time. They are picked clean. The only 360 or PSP game I found was Dynasty Warriors 5 for $5. Against my better judgement, I picked it up.
 
it cost me more in gas to drag grafixguerilla around to those stores than going to EB. lol! They told us that most of the stuff went on clearance at xmas and they would not be getting any restocks.

Did you scan DW5 at the more expensive store? It was 5.00 here when I picked it up.

Usually that's the case and has been explained by TRU employees in the past, but this last set of drops had no .98s only .00s and .90s and seems to be nationwide. The specific question with N3 is that, as marked in the OP, it and several other games with .98 pricing are VERY YMMV ranging from 10.98 (maybe 5.00 for N3 as well as DW5 if dyekom had the expensive copy scanned which would make it YMMV) to 27.98. It seems to be games priced 19.98 and 9.98 are universal while 10.98, 12.98, 13.98, 14.98, 24.98, 29.98 etc are YMMV.

Thanks. I called a local store to get a price check and the guy over the phone just said "It's 30 bucks." When I told him that it was $12.98 at my local TRU, he said that prices may vary from store-to-store and it may drop this weekend. Personally, I don't know if he had a clue or was just pulling my leg and too lazy to scan the price for me over the phone. I may have to just stop by and try scanning a UPC label I'll make up to see if it scans for $12.98 or $29.99.
 
Hey, thanks Jdawgg! Local CAG makes good. Didn't see any of the games I was looking for at the Cumberland TRU on my way home, but I got the last wireless headset for $29.98. I had seen several there as recently as a week or two ago, so I thought I had a shot.

As one of the clerks was getting it out for me, another walked up and said, "Wow! Those went FAST." Then he noticed the price (which was actually posted in front of it), and said, "Ah, no wonder. Damn...I want one. Looks like I'm too late!"
 
Aurora, IL TRU at Fox Valley Mall had 1 Tomb Raider Legend for PSP @ 9.90 as of March 18th. I didn't get it so it might still be there.
 
I know this is not a clearance item but wanted to give people the heads up without making a thread.

A TRU by me already had in stock and sold a copy of Baroque (PS2) to my brother today. So other TRU's may have them in stock and sell them. Just to make it clear the ship date is now 4/8 so they may have initially got the PS2 versions for the original 3/18 before it got delayed for the Wii version. GL

What are your impressions? I heard there were problems with the white ones like static when the mic was open and such.

If they aren't marked you can always ask them to check the price. 90% of the time at my TRUs the Rzone person is just standing there anyway. On my last outing I noticed that one of the stores I frequent had at one time had eternal sonata and overlord, but there were only display copies left behind the counter. On another note, why would you need 6 display copies of a game? Wouldn't 1-3 be sufficient for display?
 
The North Olmsted TRU has copies of Dead Rising for $19.98. I also spotted copies of Dead or Alive 4, but for some odd reason their copies are still $29.99 while the next TRU has it priced at $12.98. {sigh}

At my store, last time I went there I stood at the counter waiting 5 minutes for someone to come. Time before that I stood there for 20 minutes, no kidding.
I probably could have just took the game out through the metal detector and straight out the door before anyone noticed me. A bunch of teenagers work at the one near me and they are never anywhere to be seen, except for 1-2 at the main checkouts. That time I stood there for 20 minutes, I was actually about to take it through the metal detector just to get someone to come.

So far so good. No static on my end, and if there's static on the other, no one's said anything about it.

I actually found a bunch of them last night, so I picked up one more for the Mrs....Not sure if we're going to keep it or return it, though. In what context would two headsets for one console be useful? Are there any games where she and I can play together online? We discovered it's impossible with Uno and Carcassonne.

I know what you mean. I meant they're just standing there in the sense that the electronics section of the store is never particularly busy when I'm there. Sometimes it is difficult to find anyone in the section, even though they're supposed to be checking frequently for customers.

The price is a new drop (if you can find one), but the game itself has been tagged clearance for a long time. I think it was ~$30 when it first went clearance, and this was when the regular version was still $60.
 
The TRU in Greensburg PA was clean. Was hoping to build a little psp library and then get a red one this summer :bomb:. Even the crap like SNK v. Capcom DS was $20 and Shrek/Shark Tale GBA was $10.


Saw Lumines II psp for $9.90

Bought DarkStalkers for $5 at Sears.

12". Its huge. There is also a Final Wars Godzilla of the same size. (Kiryu ftw though, yet I did buy both.) I *NEED* to find the 6.5" Destroyah though.

Someone from some other part of the store that I hadn't seen yet ended up coming and helping me.
 
damn...I feel like I was sent on a wild goose chase, found absolutely nothing I wanted at my tru yesterday (game clerk said she`s never even heard of them)

Yeah, PDZ is the LE version, but the price is YMMV. My local TRU has it for 27.98, but I found it at another TRU about 45 miles from here for $12.98.
 
Went to toys r us bay area tx today and didn't find any clearanced games. However there were some clearanced Xbox 360 acessories. Bought a Nyko Xbox 360 remote for 9.98 and I also found Nyko 128 mb Gamecube memory cards on clearance for 4.48 so i bought one of those as well. I'm not sure if these are newly clearanced items for all TRU or just that particular store.
