At the risk of sounding like a noob, how exactly do you guys know how much stock of something is left from that site? I must be completely missing something.
you have to buy every copy of one product until it says "sold out"

stupid noob ;)

seriously...their is a quantity box or something that you can add like 999 of one item in your cart and then update the cart...which will tell you (unless they have 999) that they don't have that many, but the cart will show how many they have

if i saw a rare game instock though, i wouldn't waste the extra step in seeing how many they had, i'd go straight to check out.

Well, if you really want it, then yeah, buy it right away. But then, after your order is in, you could go check how many, if any, are left.

that gray text doesn't quite match ;)

Of course I'm a n00b ::points to CheapAss Newbie status::

Thanks for the info, somehow I was expecting something more high tech lol.

If you guys find a rare game (like Toe Jam and Earl or Streets of Rage 3 for $5.99), do you even bother putting in the coupon codes or do you just pay for it? I think I'd just add "saver" and be done with it.

I am cheap... so I type the codes as fast as I can.

Yeah, I take the time to add codes. If I miss it, then I just have to wait till another day...
I got mine yesterday. It had a used sticker on the front of the disc and also came in a regular DVD case. The data side has almost for sure been Disc Doctored. Of course, it doesn't work. My PS2 just says "Reading disc" when I put it in. Guess I'll call EB about it but I expect this to be a lost cause. I doubt they have any left and even if they did, it would cost me almost as much to ship the damn thing back as I paid for in the first place.

My first bad EB online experience...
If you haven't done so already, call up EBGames and they should send you a pre-paid mailer to return the defective game. Just make sure you do it soon.

Last time I was in this situation, I bought a copy without using my edge code. Then I went back and bought another copy using my edge code and cancelled the first copy. You have a few minutes to cancel an order.

I sometimes get games in a DVD case, which is kinda annoying, but meh. I've never had the inserts or anything as printouts, they've always been originals. I figured they did it because the original case was jacked up or something.

First problem today: Bomberman Tournament came in the mail, it was supposed to be Bomberman Advance 2 Blue Version >_>. Not a big deal luckily, Blue comes up a lot, and I'll just return Tournament in store tommorrow morning.

BTW, does anyone here happen to have a link for Soul Blazer on EB's site? That's the only SNES game I'm still looking for on the site.

I'm working from a T3 connection, so I always put in the codes.
Doesn't hurt to have your EDGE & credit card numbers memorized too.

I've got a question...

Will the b&m EB accept returns because I've changed my mind about a game? I picked up a complete GBC game while the same game was being shipped so I have no need for it. It's complete and hasen't been opened so is there any problems returning a "change of mind" purchase? Secondly, a GBA game came and the sticker is in sub par condiiton. Pending on the b&m store availability, do you think I could return the online one to exchange for another that the store has that is in better condition? Neither of the games are opened so the packaging factor shoudln't come into play. Thanks!

You should be fine returning the unopened one with no questions asked. I know that several folks have returned online orders because the items shipped incomplete (no instructions, etc.)

As far as the one in sub par condition, the same rules should apply, but if they give you a hard time, you could always open it and say it didn't work, and they would exchange it for another one. Just make sure your excuse is something along the lines of "it locks up on the third level" so that they won't be inclined to test it. Defective items just get sent back to the home office, where they are tested and resold. Someone else will be able to buy your sub-par purchase for themselves!

They must have decided to screw me when they only exchanged an unopened used game for store credit.

as a suggestion to the people who use codes instead of typing them have them typed out in notepad or something and copy and paste .. it will speed it up instead of trying to read the numbers on the Edge card or typing in Cag15

also attempt to use "Ctrl + C" to copy and "ctrl +v" to paste quickly.
how do i see how many they have in stock of an item
You realize this question is asked on nearly every page, right? Try reading a few. Youll find it and your answer
