What is the point of this? Why not just let other people at least TRY. My Ogre Battle came complete and near mint earlier this week and I know that might be the exception rather than the rule, why keep posting about how nobody will get it complete?
point is for an extra 10 bucks i think you would be better off going the ebay route. i think your mostly the only one who got it complete. Im just saying i would rather spend an extra 10 then go though the hassel of waiting up to a week to get it then wait up to another 2 weeks to get credit back on my credit card. (eb stores will not put the refund on a credit card they give you a stupid gift card.) but for those who want it More power to you
I got Mario RPG just for the heck of it. If I don't end up playing it, I'll just throw it on ebay. It was only 20.00 A/C. I'm too adicted to this. Waking up early makes me feel like I have to justify it by buying something.
30.00 a/c
Good game. Wish I hadn't ebayed it when I was desperate for money, my wife had finished it and we needed money for wedding (trip to Vegas).
Slide: :) Thanks for the advice.

I cancelled DW7. I think I can find that at B&M. :)

Thanks,
Matthew
Yeah almost all my PS1 RPGs were disc only (Kartia had the back cover). You can keep trying but it gets a little old.

I saw a DWVII at a local Gamestop about a month ago but it is gone now. Shouldn't be THAT hard to find (although it was a very late PS1 release).

I'm going to start driving around more instead...as it is ordering from ebgames.com just means trips into town to return games to EB...might as well drive around a bit instead.

i can grab a DW7 with case no book for 15 at gamestop. if i already didnt have it i would get it

cant really keep trying either though. Im sure after you return the same game more then 3 times you will either get blacklisted or they would think something is up

I missed Wizardry for the PS2 as I tried to read a review on Gamespot at the same time to find more information on the game to substantiate my purchase. Actually I'm glad it was taken from me...I have both Shin Megami Tensei titles and both Shadow Hearts 1 & 2 to play through first (and that's just the tip of the iceburg)
Not sure if these show up constantly or not:

Yeah, they do and are overpriced for cart only (even with my store credit scheme :))

Also, many of us old timers got so spoiled with the buy one get one 50% coupon (last year) that some are waiting for its return to get games like these.

I sold stuff like this off about 8 years ago . . . didn't regret FFIII or Chrono Trigger (sold them complete for $40 each before ebay doh!) but I did kick myself for getting rid of SoM but I found one with box at vid store for $4.

FYI

Atelier Iris Eternal Mana NEW is back in stock.

I think I read that they had another shipment going out and that it would be restocked...my local EBgames had just gotten one in.

after watching Phatom brave fall to 19.99 very quickly im too freaking cheap to pay more then 20 for this : )

found something interesting

I put in all the codes before the update. Didnt see anything so i didnt order anything, BUT i went to cart now and that game i used the codes are is still there BUT all the codes are removed. I wonder if Eb is going to start to remove codes after updates

Not all EB stores are like that about refunds. I just kept trying different places and I found more than one that will do credit card refunds. It pays to be nice but insistent that it is possible/has been done before. Have your credit card out and be brisk: "here are the papers and games, here's the card they were purchased with." They might just do it b/c you seem to know what you're doing.

I also save up my returns and do them in groups instead of piecemeal -- reduces the number of times you're in their face. Best of all is to return stuff while making a purchase (recent B&M classics sale was great for that).

Don't the codes just recede after about 20 minutes? . . . mine often fade and have to be reentered.

Also, my store does refunds based on how you paid . . . usually I get it back on a giftcard because that's how I do the majority of purchases (from store credit which makes my eb buys dirt cheap).

This happens to me pretty often. I always think of it as the codes "timing out". It never happens consistently in terms of time though...don't know what triggers it. Maybe if you don't go to the cart screen for long enough? (Lord knows we're all usually in and out of that screen constantly.)

My codes get deleted after about 7 minutes. I also get logged out.

Yeah, I'm not big on action/RPGs so I've held out on that one. Maybe I will do like Stella Deus and grab it on a morning update for $35 or so.

On the codes disappearing: I frequently have the codes vanish, especially during the update. It's not consistent.

May I suggest hitting refresh once in a while?

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering because I never saw it. Did anyone really jump at it?
Slide I ordered one of the Eyetoy Cameras from EB. Any word on how they come? Like do they usually end up functional or what?

Awww...Klona 2 disappeared from my cart. :(
However, did pick up for $64 shipped (A/C):
Marvel Vs. Capcom (PS2)
RAD: Robot Alchemic Drive (PS2)
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay (Xbox)
Still rather pleased with my finds today. :)

I ordered (last one)

$2.99 bc
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/117855.asp

I had this back in the day and dumped it who knows when and I liked it but not enough to care about it . . .

A good but not great platformer but the other day I got the GBA version for flipping (bought at $4.49 w edge and traded in at $10 for Ndogs) had it overnight and my daughter (3 years) loved it. So, I got the original for us to play. Let's see at $2.25 ac that's about $1 out of pocket considering the "cost" of my credit.

Dang! I will miss EB if GS changes everything after the merger.

slide - i was an EB manager DURING the transition to online "in-store returns." what they told you is, in fact, a lie. They HAVE to put it back on the credit card.

All returns from online to in-store must be SAME AS PURCHASE. By putting it on a gift card the employees are violating corporate policy (not that they don't violate it all the time).

I think if you put up enough of a fuss in a calm, well-constructed argument (considering the ignorant EB employees out there) not only will the manager do it for you but he'll probably apologize. And if not, get the DM's name. The manager will most certainly be "re-trained." ;)

Well you made a decent choice. Wizardry is interesting if not repetitive and "same-old." The Shadow Hearts games are MUCH better, and I hear the SMTs are as well. Enjoy!

I've had similar problems. I had the sealed game, reciept, and my credit card. They told me they needed a copy of my online purchase confirmation that showed which credit card I used to make the purchase. I thought this was pretty dumb but I wasn't an asshole about it and took store credit (had to beg to even get that). I've made a few returns from online and they've been confused about it both times. Oh well.

Edit:

Get this game! it's a steal and was worth every penny of the $30.00 I spent to get it a while back!

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/217322.asp
$4.99

God EB employees can be ignorant. If they took the time to SCAN the receipt (the large invoice you receive with an online order) they would realize that CREDIT CARD (DEBIT CARD) is automatically highlighted within the return screen. From that point they manually enter the date it was purchased (online purchases can be returned within 30 days I believe) and then refund the money to the credit card.

All other requests, excuses, and remarks are complete BULLSHIT and should not be tolerated. Goddam EB (remember I worked there for 2 years) has ITS ALL ABOUT THE CUSTOMER written on their damn POS (point of sale). I guess some people forget that....... bah!

No need to be nice, tell them to look on the back of the packing list it clearly states " A full credit will be issued via your method of payment for the price or any merchandise you return that meets the above conditions"
if it goes up 20 more cents i will quit my job. we never get a raise yet we got to keep spending more and more cash on gas. Just last month i blew 364 bucks on gas.
364$?!?!?! holy crap dude!

Well I'm spending around $72 a month and thats traveling 60 mins a day 5 days a week to work, and going out on only one of my days off with the car. Gas is stupidly high.

Man this thread has turned into a morning birds deal. I use to be able to grab a few items around 10am eastern or later, but I haven't grabbed anything in a few months now.
Is Obscure any good?
It's pretty good.

I'd say it's the Diet Pepsi of Survival Horror games.

Or maybe Sum 41 meets Resident Evil.

You know.. kinda funky, kinda mainstream, kinda bland.

too 5 five of my games back today. No problems BUT they wouldnt put them on a credit card since i had no idea what was credit card and what was gift card. I was able to get all 94 bucks reput on another Online gift card. (i think at the most 20 of that was Credit card)

so my buying starts again monday. Also i found a V. profile game at another gamestop. Called yesterday and they go yea we ship it. Got a call this morning saying they cant ship it cause they are a new store. More like someone working at the gamestop saw this game coming and say HELL With it going to a customer that game is mine.

The gamestop that's five miles away from me supposedly has a copy of V Profile, but when i call them, they won't even tell me if it's in stock. Every time i call, they say they're too busy to look through six hundred psone games for it. But since it's been said to be there for a couple weeks, i'm guessing it's not true. I can't imagine a game like this staying in one place for too long.
