On a side note this morning........ while waiting for the update, I was browsing eBay and got Conker: Live and Reloaded for the Xbox sealed for $20 (shipping included).......... not a total loss this morning

Glad to see that I get to work and have missed nothing. Maybe tomorrow will be BETTER and ON TIME. Here's to hoping
Meteos is in stock ($27 BC)

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/256598.asp
Must resist . . . this will go lower and they will get many of these in trade . . . I bet I'll buy it in 2 months for $15 ac (rather than $20)

Interesting Meteos EB new $30 used $27 GS new $35 used $20 . . .

I was very close to buying this and backed out. I'm getting a new copy of Ndogs (GBA deal) in a few weeks that will keep the DS going for awhile . . .

Update: just purchased a minute ago . . . gone today.

Jesus - a little bitter are we?

I mean EB has provided us with COUNTLESS deals that we have all CAPITALIZED upon (like that use of caps? thought so..) Perhaps you should give them some credit for giving us these deals at ALL. ;)

I was going to join it for a month and see if they got anything new , BUT who is to say they wont charge you for your first month if you already joined them once before.... Then again i might still join them next order even if your billed the first month you get that 9 bucks back with the eb 10 buck gift.... well this is what i got today

Well, I've got about 6 $10 vouchers saved up from stuff like that (including one that I requested EB use as payment towards a $10 gift certificate, which they gave me, but never switched my payment over from my credit card so I got free :p), using different email addresses. Easiest way to avoid worrying about getting charged is using the one-time/throwaway numbers from your credit card company, if applicable. Meaning I can create a number that has a $1.00 limit (so they can put through a test authorization), that won't let them charge me the monthly fee if they try.

Only thing I don't like about the vouchers is they are "coupons" not payment, so you can't combine them with any codes. I had to haggle with EBgames on the phone to get them to accept it for a gift cert, since the website doesn't (though they tell me it should work). Coupons also mean that if I use them for a pre-played and have to return it, I don't get that $10 back. So I'm gonna try to stick with using them on new games.

The best way to handle them is place your used game order with all coupons and then call about an hour later and have them "add" the code to the order . . . its a pain but I do it about once a month.

Also, buy a new $10 game and just eat the $2 shipping.

Well, I for one am happy with this update. They re-stocked both Star Wars: Battlefront (Xbox, PO) and Burnout 3 (Xbox, PO), but I only picked up Battlefront, along with Lumines (PO) and Frequency (PO). I got all of those for a combined total of $50.27 shipped, tax included. I guess it's not the best deal in the world, but I'm happy with it.

I have never ordered a used game before.

When it says, "Guaranteed to work. Includes instructions and original packaging."

What kind of condition has been others experience? Does it come plastered with stickers?

for $4.60 I don't really why I even care, but thought I would ask.

In my experience they're in better shape than what you see in a brick-in-mortar, and there's only one small, yellow sticker on the back, over the UPC, and a similar one on the disk. Gamestop, on the other hand, sends each and every game to the depths of sticker hell.

Hmm.. good call. Unfortunately most of the new games I want are either $19.99 or full price (which just means I'm waiting a couple months to get them), but $10 is $10. I wish I knew how long your email stays in the system of RR, TVP, etc... I used my Yahoo email a long time ago and could use it again a couple weeks ago, but they declined that email this time.

I'd say that for next gen games (GC, PS2, Xbox) my PO ones run about 80% in mint to very good shape (like one or two minor scratches) about 1 in 5 are of poor enough quality to return (or exchange instore).

I did that when MGS3 got really cheap ($12.99 bc) . . . the disc was nasty but I got a minty one instore.

All next gen games have been complete but many have skanky cases . . . not just stickers but scuffs and stuff. Just exchange those cases with games you trade in.

Yeah, I think they may fixed this system . . . I got stopped last time too . . . I've done it at least 12 times in the last year quitting after 2-3 weeks each time . . . so, that's been about an extra $120 toward my EB addiction. But it may be done now . . . oh well.

Ha. My plan if so will be to just find a free email subdomain. Back in the day my college roommates and I got a few free fleece vests from Asimba.com by "referring" 30 email addresses to their site: a@*.8m.com, b@*.8m.com.... Email forwarding/redirection is a beautiful thing.

I've actually noticed the exact opposite - EBGames is terrible about putting stickers all over everything (2-4 on the case, often one on the manual), while GS usually just has one on the front and one on the back. I've also noticed that Gamestop stickers seem to peel off much easier, while EB stickers (unless you peel VERY VERY slowly) will leave crap all over the case. However, EB will at least guarantee the case and manual and the stickers come off easily with GooGone.

Avoid Gamestop.com at all costs when buying pre-owned. I think they use the DVD's as clay pigeons. EBGames.com is good because the PS2, XB, GC games come with instruction and cases. If you get a disk that is too scratched for your liking you can take them to the B&M store. Did that with Jak 3 a while back. The dude who worked there just swapped my game with a neW game. He just removed the shrink wRap for me.

GooGone?!?!? I've been using rubbing alcohol and at times feel like I am going to pass out. I wish I wasn't nearly OCD....must...have...stickerless...cases!!!

My personal experience is this:
EBgames.com wins in the end because of CAG, SAVER, cheap edge card, and good return policy
Gamestop.com is very average

I much prefer Gamestop B&M over ebgames B&M because they have had better stock of new recently-gone rare games and they seem to take better care of used stuff.

I feel your Pain...I feel your Pain! Just kidding (OCD joke)!

You can usually get used DVD cases 5 for $1.00 at Blockbuster. Sometimes they're in great shape but YMMV.

Yeah but then I'd know that they are not the real PS2 cases...then I'd have bad dreams about there NOT being a memory card slot on the inside of the box. :p (joking, but half serious hehe)

They've been 8 for $1.00 recently at my local Blockbuster, great deal.

i was able to get them 1 penny each at best buy. they were some type of thing they gave away when you got a camera but They dropped them to free. its a dvd case. they had a box of over 100 of the a few months back. i grabbed around 25 of them for 25 cents

God dammit! I keep ordering Wipeout 3 whenever it's in stock on the website (I already have it, but I'm ordering for friends), and they keep sending me Wipeout 1 (it written as "Wip3out" on the disc, so I guess that's confusing them). And it's not really worth the trouble to return them, so I've been keeping them.

I now have 5 copies of the original Wipeout, all disc only.

Hot Shots Golf: Fore! is $19.99 new. It's going to be GH on the 23rd, but you can get the GH prices early now. I'm going to print it out and take it to a CC for a price-match 'cause I hate EB.

I got Tactics Ogre and SaGa Frontier 2 in today. Both disc only. SaGa Frontier is going back tomorrow. Damn EB. I now have to find one of those black things that will hold two cd cases together so I can make me a complete copy of Tactics Ogre.

Do the games come through the mail, or are they dropped off through ups or something like that, because I havent received any of my orders yet.
Are you sure there's a PG rebate for ZOE?

The $5 rebate was on pricegrabber at the time I posted that. Looks like the 50 quota has been reached. No more free ZOE. :(

I would like to say thanks to cheapassgamer for the cag15 and saver coupon codes for ebgames.com they just saved me a few bucks on pokemon puzzle league, which is a game i have been looking for for a while now and i did not want to pay 12.99 at gamestop when i could pay 6$ or in this case under 6$ at ebgames!!!

Some come through UPS, most just through the mail.

If you've ever had an item backordered through EBgames even though the item was posted during the morning update........... how long have you had to wait til they shipped the item out?

So, what is the insert? My games are disk only, like I have explained...But is the insert the cover? Can I get any cd case and use what you got today to create a complete copy? I am very curious! lol. If this is the case, then I am not returning my disk only copies.

you get the front cover and the back cover its just like if someone broke open the case and ripped the covers off

its just the front and back inserts like you would see in the case. you dont get the plastic case but you get the little pieces of cardboard. Meaning if you could find a double case you probally can make them complete. the ogre games all came in double cases so you would have to find a double case someplace
