I was awake, but did not get on this site.

Really wanted this game
The solution is be on CAG all the time!

This is the part of being a CAGer that I hate. My computer was Shaq-fuing me on Mon. I always log on here and at EB at about 6am . . . on Mon. I missed MGS Substance PS2.

When the FFX-2 guide went to .59 at Shopko . . . I went to find a labled spot for it but no guides . . .
yea I know it is the problem. I have missed it every single time it has come into stock lately.

Tomorrow I will check in the morning and hopefully a copy will be there.
Sorry about Project Justice guys.

I was just on the site looking at DC games and noticed these ones that I hardly ever see on there, check here for others that I've missed:

Power Stone for $12.99

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for $24.99

Sega Smash Pack Volume 1 for $17.99

Star Wars Episode I - Jedi Power Battles for $17.99

Just passing these on to those looking for DC games.
Star Wars is that much? Glad I picked that up at blockbuster cause I like Star Wars.
Yeah, I was surprised and since I don't ever see the DC version anymore, I picked it up right away.

Ha! Don't feel bad about MGS2:Substance, I have 2 copies (both for friends) still on back order. I ordered them 1/7/05, so I'll be both shocked and quite pissed if anyone that ordered them on monday actually has their's ship in the near future.

im begining to wonder if ebgames is starting to "punish" anyone who mass buys. ive read alot of stories with people who buy one and get theirs while some people are waiting monthes in backorder who have ordered multiples.

Not much today.

Castle Shikigami 2 is in stock:
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/245170.asp

Phantom Brave Strategy Guide: $4.99 ($3.99 with HB20)
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/245419.asp

Does anyone know how to get free shipping on strategy guides? Can't use saver with HB20, even with something used.

If you do the guide with HB20, and pay the $1.99 for saver shipping, its $5.98.

If you do the guide, a 99 cent used game, 25% off and saver, it comes to $5.73.

However, your tax liability is much higher if you go the 2nd route. Tax on the 1st route is a % of $3.99. Tax on the 2nd route is a % of $5.80, since shipping costs aren't taxed.

THANK YOU, supermariomelee! :D
I finally got in on one of the Demikids games!
Thank you soooo much for that post! It really did help me out, because for some reason it wasn't showing up on rockhero's tracker...maybe it's not on there at all, in which case I will now PM him with a request to add it. :)

Yep I only had the Dark version in there. The light version is now added.
Ikaruga is not even in their database anymore
There were 4 this morning . . . in Dec. it used to sell for $20 before coupons. Getting harder to find now . . . I imagine . . . should come back.

Since this is the thread I normally go to discuss EBgames' games, how is Sky Gunner. My local EB just got one in and I always see it posted in this thread when it comes in stock. Any good or just rare because it is Atlus?
I miss the in-store 30% off coupon. Any updates and the status of this coupon? Will it be coming back?
They should update the expiration date soon, the game is still online.

Yaeh I know, I played it today to see if they had updated the date but they hadn't. What kind of sucks is that the employees barely no about the coupon.

It's a pretty good, fun shooter that's just different than the rest. It's kind of hard to find, especially for cheap. It's $30 at the Fry's here, but usually about $10 cheaper at other places.

This is an excellent game, IMO. I got it the first week it came out and have never regretted it. Basically, it's an old-school shooter, except in 3D and done in an anime style. The only complaints that are continuously lodged against this game are the slowdown and the relative brevity of the overall game, so I'll address both of those complaints:

Slowdown. I won't kid you, the slowdown in this game is probably some of the worst I've seen in any video game to date. However this does not -- I repeat -- does not affect the gameplay negatively. In my experience, the game runs at full speed about 80% of the time. The slowdown, when it does occur, is severe (well below 20 fps). But since this is an arcade shooter, the slowdown only helps you to line up your shots a little better and give you some respite from the usual screenful of enemies and explosions. Besides, for as beautiful as this game is otherwise, it would be a shame to miss out just because of this kind of engine problem.

Length. True, this game can be beaten quickly -- less than an hour and a half the first time through, and probably about 30 minutes on each successive try if you're trying to blow through it. You see, it is almost impossible to die. However, it is also almost impossible to beat the high scores, which is more the point of the game. Like any of the old school shooters, score is very important. Multiple playthroughs are required for high scores and unlockables. I won't ruin anything for you here, but if you like the style of the game, you will certainly appreciate playing through to get everything.

Overall, the game is great fun and has a fantastic style. I would recommend holding out for a complete copy if you are able (somehow disc only on this one just doesn't seem right). Learning how to combo for big points and even bigger explosions is the key to the game. Once you've taken the tutorial, you can take to the skies. But for as good as you thing you might be, wait until you see how good you must become before you can get a first place score.

Highly recommended for shooter fans and fans of stylistic games.

Not recommended for framerate whores, and people who don't like games that take less than 60 hours to beat.

Thanks, pick up the Xbox exhibition 2 disc. I already have Capcom vs SNK for PS2 but I thought I would like to give the Xbox version a try.
Missed project Justice. Shit!!
every day I sleep in, it comes up, when I do not sleep in, it does not show

this game is starting to piss me off

Toejam and Earl was a great game. If anyone has a genesis I would highly recommend this game.
Beach Spikers is OOS now too :(
Is that game any good, or is it just "rare"?
(or is it neither of those)

it is a very very good game. Like Virtua Tennis except with a volleyball.

Either lots of people were on this morning, or the resellers are getting a lot faster... Used to take them longer to clear out the classic games.

I've been wanting Kings Bounty and a few more of those for a while now, its too bad I couldn't get much.

Have to keep the topic bumped because of th efuckin spam... I don't know why people bump their topics, it just helps them. Oh well, people are dumb.
Damn... I missed out on a lot of good stuff this morning :(
Here too, I managed to snag a Zelda Collector's Edition finally, but in the time it takes me to add one thing to my cart everything else is gone.
