I am sick of hearing about The Last of Us. Isn't it just Uncharted with a vagina or something? I really haven't followed it at all.....

I don't think I'm being sexist, I just find all the bullshit being said about games nauseating these days, and there tends to be a lot more thrown around when female characters are added into the mix.

I hope The Last of Us isn't like Uncharted, and is more focused on the survival aspect, but I'm guessing that won't be the case.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be. I don't have my GoW:A disc anymore, so I couldn't get in on the new demo, but I'm sure if you searched youtube, you could find it.

I'm going to check this out now, but based on what I've watched so far, it's not Uncharted where it's basically a cover based TPS with some climbing and puzzle segments. I imagine more of a RE vibe with managing low inventory and choosing how to kill/when to kill.

not really, don't you have to constantly look for food to keep your char alive in "i Am alive". Otherwise he will run out of health/ stamina before dying. The last of us is not that extreme.
 
Despite how awkward it looks when the enemies try to circle around your character to engage in melee from the front, the seamless transitions between using different weapons as well as the environment was pretty neat.

Those Amazon sales are pretty damn tempting.

The Last of Us has potential, IMO... It's the kind of game I'd actually consider owning a next-gen system for. I'd be more excited to play The Last of Us on PS4 than anything currently shown by MS or Sony for their next-gen lineup.

With that said, I can only hope the game is good. I had 0 interest until I watched the last trailer they'd released and then it caught my interest. I'll be grabbing it the first time I see it go on sale for $40 or less.

Platinumed Ascension and then sold it for what I paid. So no demo for me. I watched the YT one though, thought it looked good.

Dawn of the dead remake is still the best zombie movie ever and then capcom ripped it off to make a good game franchise
