Wow.  You can't change post settings anymore.   Most of the control panel options under my setting are now just for email notification as well as fb and twitter integration. :\

What do you need to know? As far as I can tell it's like Uncharted in a fashion -- with some twists such as needing to manage supplies and hunt for items (sort of like bioshock) so you can craft more things. There's some climbing, and some fighting, and a story. There's some interesting stuff with listen mode/etc, since the infected use audio to see in some cases. Watch a walkthrough of the demo that was available through the GoW:A disc. Or one of the other gameplay trailers:

Thanks for that. Should help. I get the broadstrokes design choices, but coming off of Uncharted 3 where they somehow managed to make things like aiming worse than it's predecessor, I was a little worried. I'll give this a watch.

Edit: Yeah, ok. That doesn't look bad.

I never noticed the "aiming" problems in Uncharted 3, personally. I played it after it was patched, but there was an option in the menu to turn the correction on and I could never find it, so I'm pretty sure I just played with it as it shipped. Felt fine to me, but I adapt to things pretty well if I play them for long enough.

I'm liking the looks of TLoU, but I won't pay more than $40 for most new releases these days, so I'm still waiting.

 
Wow, this new site layout and color is awful.  Glad a dark theme will be available later, but this will still take some getting used to!

Anyway, I finished Uncharted 3 last night.  Really enjoyed it.  I'd put it a bit behind the 2nd and a bit ahead of the first in terms of how I'd rank them.  Lots of good moments in the game though--the level on horseback chasing the caravan through the desert may be my favorite scene from any of the three games.

And wow to the great reviews for The Last of Us.  Went ahead and preordered on Amazon.  Really don't need more to play with my backlog, but this looks great and I'd rather play it before it gets spoiled.  Can always sell it for a decent return if I'm not into the MP or replaying it after beating it.

I also got Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition to add to the backlog.  Was $17 something on Amazon and I haven't really played at GT since the 2nd one.  Well, I played a tad of the 3rd but never really got into it.  Kind of ironically, it was one of the negative user reviews on Amazon that made me pull the trigger as it said some of the bonus cars in the XL edition are fast out of the gate and it ruined it for him as he didn't have to grind for hours to build a decent car.  That was the one part I didn't like much in the GT games I played as the game didn't get fun until you put several hours in and had some decent cars built up.  I don't have fun doing the same race over and over to earn cash to I can build/buy a car that actually  has as chance of winning.  A little of that is fine--but it was too tedious in GT3.  Sounds like in the XL edition you can get money quicker as you have some decent cars out of the gate and thus can just enjoy racing with competitive cars rather than losing until you have enough cash to upgrade.

Will probably fire up Injustice tonight and just play some of that and maybe the Skyrim Dragonborn DLC between now and getting The Last of Us on the 14th.

Oh, and solid PS+ update this month with Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Saints Row 3 as the PS3 freebies.  Will definitely download Deus Ex as I've been wanting to check that out.  Will probably pass on SR3, never really got into that type of game.

I did think the aiming felt a little off compared to the first two, but nothing major. I didn't notice any correction settings, but turning the aiming sensitivity up (that was for some reason buried in the camera options menu) did help some--maybe that's what you were referring too.

Depends -- that EX2 I started off with felt pretty flimsy. There's a reason I sold that shit quickly and opted for a TE when I decided to rebuy a fightstick later on. In this case, you're correct though. The real arcade pro 3 is a good stick, AFAIK.

The new GameFAQs was pretty bad as well.....I'll have to mess around with the settings and stuff here to see what I can do and also figure out how to get to everything again. Oh well, at least I can post again :D

You know, that's true. I think part of what hit me in the face so hard is that both CAG and FAQs got all crazy within the same two day window. Everything on the internet feels so bright right now.

 
I too want the dark theme.  And my 50 ppp.  Dammit!

At least we can like posts now!  That make up for everything including the 36+ hour downtime (12 hours my ass).  At least they got it partially working before E3.

Mociwe, are we friends on PSN yet?  My right arm is for hire if you need help getting your sacrifice on. ;)

Almost done with Dead Space. The zero-G stuff could have been done better, but otherwise no major complaints.
 
Took a break from working and played a little Injustice.  Just did the tutorial and chapter 1 of story mode.

Seems pretty awesome.  Great graphics, lots of game types/content.  Looking forward to diving deeper into it tonight.

I definitely am. Seems like the experience will be a huge part of it, so I'd rather play it day one and not risk stumbling across spoilers before getting around to it.

All I could find was multiplayer stuff from Gamestop.

I went with Amazon as they're giving $10 in instant video credit and I can at least use that to rent some new releases to watch with the girlfriend as they tend to get stuff before its available in Netflix or Redbox.
