OTT and stuff
Dkellar, I was wondering, being the DIY CAG, do you know of a way to cheaply insulate a window?
There's a tiny one in my bathroom that just leaks out heat like nothing else, and it sucks to even have to be in there (especially with the freezing weather).
There's this stuff you can buy at Home Depot. It's kinda like Plastic Wrap, and it comes with double-sided tape. You stick the tape smoothly all the way around the window, then use a hair dryer to make it "set" it will peel off fairly easily in the spring. it doesnt work the best, but its worth the cost ($5?)
I'm sorry but I have no experience installing windows (yet). Just use google and search for some stuff. Since it's small, I don't think it would be much of a pain to install. Since you're worried about heatloss, make sure the new window is energy efficient or look into windows that are so heat is not lost. Keep an eye on Lowe's ads if you have that store in your area, I believe they can install windows. I'm not to sure of the price to install one but they may run a decent deal.
We remodel our house. So I know some stuff. It could be that the window is cheap and just a single pane of glass. It could be that its not the actual window but the installation around the sides of the window.

We had a small window that sucked out the heat in our bathroom. So when we remodeled we just took it out and put wood where the window was. Then put drywall over that. After we remodel we got new siding on the house so no one will ever know that a window was there.

They sell these small plastic adhesive sheets that cover your window and hold in the heat. Just ask someone at your hardware store. They should help you. Basically that plastic acts like a 2nd or 3rd pane of glass.
I was so out of it last night that when I heard some nondescript noise outside (probably some drunk people) I thought to myself, "Oh, it's just the chickens," like I was back in Guam.
Guam... can't believe I'm back in Guam.

Knight, have you looked into increasing the iron you're getting in your diet? I'd suggest (if you don't already) eating a lot of fresh dark-green vegetables. I love to sleep too, but it sounds like you need an abnormal amount of rest.

I like how in PW your guy is basically guilty until proven innocent. Meaning you find some evidence that pretty much blows away the state's case, but the judge will say something like "That is very interesting, but it doesn't prove that your client DIDN'T murder the victim!"

I eat a ton of red meat compared to most people, which contains a lot of iron. Plus I have 1-2 salads daily. And a multivitamin (that has 100% of the daily value for iron). Not really sure what the problem might be.

You could try supplemental iron for a few weeks to see if that helps.

I suppose better that than chewing on some threepenny nails.

Yes cause you don't hurt teh teeth with the supplements. ;)

I'll go to marinate or just grill up some steaks and I could eat 'em raw.

Your salads have a lot of dark leafy greens? Iceburg lettuce has next to NO nutritional value. If you can't deal with spinach or broccoli, darker romain lettuce is good.

I don't like iceberg lettuce. So I don't know what the problem is. :(

I know alot of people in here are good at Photoshop and stuff like that... can someone take the PC coupon found here:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122144

And make a clean, hi-res image of it? That coupon there isn't going to fly at my Best Buy at all (i.e it's a bad scan), and I really want to try my luck getting a WoW time card, espically since it's in their computer as a PC Game and will ring up no problem, barring a cashier who knows better.

Quick, lion. Which do you want to play right now?

And I just spoke with my neighbor about the wifi that she shares with me and her ex a few doors down. According to her, the provider knows and has approved the situation.

Next to impossible.

You can't take a low quality scan and make it high quality. You can do it the other way around. That is, you could make it higher quality, but it would require a huge amount of time.

Time better spent, say, going to Best Buy and paying 5 bucks for the coupon yourself, then scanning it in with high quality.

Besides, there's other issues to consider here, specifically ones that might incite arguments, so I'm just going to say I mentioned them without explanation.

Crap... I saw someone had a hi-res image of the original $10 off $39.99 coupon, so I figured it could be done fairly easy. I'm not big on Photoshop and the like, though. It's just, I tried to print this one out once already, and it's such a shitty quality that the words are blurred and it's crooked.

Someone got it to work at their Best Buy but I know this one would immediately be denied at mine... it just looks fake. I'd do it myself but it's more than just $5, I have to subscribe to Gamepro or some other inane garbage I don't want, just to use this coupon once.

Plus, the printer is printing things with a pink tone to them... I don't know why, maybe the color ink cartridge is running low? Beats me.

I'm having a shitty day all around, I think.

Just get on that treadmill and run for a bit. You'll feel better in no time. :applause:

Yea, I skipped it last night, because I was so damn tired... I usually take 2 days off a week to begin with, and I didn't eat much yesterday so I'm ok.

I went to go deal with a problem at school with me graduating, I got there at 4:40 only to see they closed at 4:30. I went to the bank to use the ATM, got there at 4:58, they close at 5:00 and the secuity guard wouldn't let me in to just use the ATM to check my balance. My bank has screwed up online banking so I can't access that, either, and there is no ATM outside (weird, I know).

I want to drop the bank but I can't until I'm done with my Paypal for a week or two.

Can't decide...

FF3 is a little iffy cause I'm currently a good ways into DQ8 on PS2.
Yoshi's Island is a little iffy cause I just played through the first one and NSMB recently.
Not sure I'm in the mood for castlevania at the moment.

This is why I turned to the OTT!

Hey, here's some good news -

The extra WoW CE I ordered off of BestBuy.com this morning just switched from backordered to "In Process - Order is Being Fulfilled".

By the time it gets here the value of it should start rising back up. All I want to do is just break even on both CE's.

I just put 4 boxes full of magazines in my trunk, just so I can get out of the cul-de-sac. I wish I had some sand bags, instead.
I have no idea what I want to make for dinner tonight.
I got my gf some cookbooks recently (one for her birthday, one for Christmas), so tonight she's making braised broccoli rabe with prunes, golden raisins, and pine nuts and some pumpkin muffins. Why?

I've never seen or been in snow in my life so I'm not sure why you'd do this.

Oh, ok, gotcha.

It dosen't ever snow in Florida =/
Why?

The roads are almost completely clean about ... 100 feet from my house. But I was still sliding around a bit more than I'd like up to that point, so I added the boxes. It's more just to have them there for next time, though.

Usually I just hate driving my car because it's so fucking loud. But then it has to snow a few times a year.

2142 is a lot better than I thought it would be. Runs smooth on my PC (much better than BF2) and the gameplay is pretty good. I still am not too keen on the setting, but the game is good enough that I should get my money out of it.
It dosen't ever snow in Florida =/
That's a good thing; whether or not you've ever seen it in your life.

I can stand the cold, but I fuckin' hate snow.

I don't care for it. The 360 will be getting Bad Company.

I hope when BC comes out they will have maps for the market place. BF2:MC has been out almost a year and we have no new maps.

I've always been curious about what it's like.

I went to Toronto a few winters ago, and even then, the day I got there all the snow had melted and it never snowed again. My Mom used to tell me all these stories about the snow from when she grew up in New York, and I've always just wanted to see it once, and do things like make a snowman or throw a snowball in someones face.

Living in Florida all my life makes snow some kind of myth... like I know it's out there, but I've never seen it. I don't want to live in it, I just want to see it just once.
Wow. My day just got a lot better after checking the mail. That package I've been waiting awhile for just arrived.

Looks like it will be a good day.

I think most people will agree with me. But the best part of ordering online is getting the package in the mail.

So just to set the record straight...

I posted this:

Ok, we'll let the past be then. Can we be friends again?

And Shrike posted again in the topic before it was locked, without responding.

So, basically I offer to bury the hatchet, and Shrike completely ignores me, and this is the example set by a mod here? Real classy.

I hope everyone got a chance to read this:

It's just a message board, why let hard feelings linger, why be so pety? On that same note, I feel I've said my final piece on this nonsense, the ball is in your court now.

True, but this wasn't an online order. Just some games the EIC sent to me to review, but he initially sent it to my old address. Luckily, it was redirected, though the DC# made it seem like it'd be a lost or returned package, so I wasn't expecting it at all today.

ZL, I was going to ask this in that thread before it was close, but I'll post it here since you're here for a little bit. What's with the grudge you seem to now have against the OTT?
