I bought some stuff from the store, thats for cleaning lcds. However before that I used a warm damp washcloth. And rubbed lightly. It worked fine.

It is, but I feel the comic strip is much funnier.

Damn I love the comic strip. I have his complete collection displayed on my shelf with Season 1 sitting between them.

I suggest reading them if you find the time.

I forget about Elliott Smith's cover of "Because" over the credits on American Beauty every time I see it. Which is a shame, because I'd probably watch it more often, just for that, if I remembered. :lol:

I just found another thing to love about Far Cry: being thrown into a sniper duel but not being able to see them thanks to crappy draw distance ontop of not being able to zoom with the sniper rifle easily thanks to the busted controls.
 
Damn. I was considering leveling up to about 20 before taking on the third main quest in Children of Mana, but do the monsters ever give shit XP. 2 or 3 per monster. I swear when I first played through that zone it was more. When I need 500+ for a level up, it's just not worth it, and I'm only at level 15!

I can safely say, however, that a DS Lite was a sound purchase at $80. Gotta get used to the size and D-Pad, though.

I like the buttons on the original DS way more. The DSL buttons are really fat and for some reason I'm prone to making mistakes with them. I mis-stepped in Tetris significantly more with the DSL.

To be honest I actually prefer the softer feel of the DS Lite buttons. I feel far less pressure on my thumbs pressing on them. Comes in real handy for, say, "Custom Robo Arena."

Muthafuckas on live keeping me from getting my achievement.

I'm trying to get the 50 wins achievement on mlb 2k7, I"m at 43, and last two games I start wining, the fuckers quit. "How do they quit and you not get the win," you ask?

Easy just unplug your modem, or router, or the ethernet cord from your 360. Then I get to see a a black screen that says "waiting for opponent."
Then it counts down from 18 seconds. I get to leave feedback, which I of course leave a negative. But the dumb fucks at 2k figure a disconnect doesn't count as a lose, or win for some dumbass reason.

If people didn't quit I would already have the achievement.

I remember back when I started on XBox Live way back on the original XBox I did have connection issues in particular with "Inside Pitch 2003" that caused me to disconnect suddenly without warning. So it makes sense to me if that is the case of the disconnect. However I hated it in your case most likely when someone disconnected just because they were losing. I got that quite often on "Crimson Skies" when I was kicking their ass.

People don't even try to make it look like a legit disconnect issue. They normally disconnect after you hit a 2 or 3 run homer. Of if its late in the game, and its close you get a few runs enough to pull away from your opponent then black screen.

How hard is it to man up, and take a lose. I've lost by 20 runs before, I never quit. Only game I quit was when I was playing a nobody, and in the 1st inning Jimmiemac wanted to play so I left my game to play with Jim.
 
Actually the last guy that quit on me gamertag was "Beeapro, and he's in the pro zone, and his gamer motto is 1337.

real 1337 when you quit a game.

Very true. At least if someone is going to disconnect wait until at least an inning before doing the disconnect. ;)

I can't tell you how many times I have lost on Mario Kart DS on the Wifi. Its not that I am a bad player but I won't lie that there are people out there that are more skilled than me (and better at snaking). Yet amazingly I still have a good fun time playing even when I lose. Or at least end up in 2nd place which we all know is another way of saying... "1st Place Loser."

I've lost/do lose on baseball. I was playing a game once, and I was in the led 7-5. Then in the 8th he hit a 2 run homer, and then in the bottom of the 11th. He hit a basehit. Stole 2nd, then got another basehit and ran his guy from 2nd to home plate. My throw was a second late. He won the game but it was fun losing.

I played one game tonight where I won 3-2, and it was fun. One bad pitch could change the tide of the game.

On to another subject why do I always get restless this time of night.

Now THOSE games are fun. Nerve wrecking and intense yet fun. Maybe when I finally cave in and get a 360 then we'll have to play a few rounds.

I think I've made up my mind...seeing as i didn't get any actualy "gifts" from my parents and my partner (though hes giving me 500 bucks to pay off my credit card, love ya Bill! lol) for my birthday. I'm buying the Oppo DV-981HD player. I've been wanting an upconverting dvd player for a long time now, and the fact that it does PAL-NTSC conversion perfectly sells me 200% on it!

Plus it also plays SACD and DVD-Audio along with HDCD encoded CDs. Also don't forget it does DIVX/XVID files too. Comes with an HDMI cable too. Not a bad buy for $230. :D
