Yes, they list pre-orders as being back-ordered. They did it when I pre-ordered NHL2K5, too.
 
Funny that right after this gets a link on the front page a bunch of the deals die. :shock:

Can't complain too much about Outpost though, as they have gotten me Otogi, NHL2K5 and a couple of other things non-game related really cheap lately.

*sigh*, just checked my order online and my phantom brave got cancelled... they didn't even send me an email. nnow i'm stuck paying $7 shipping on silent hill 4... I have sent them a nasty email, because honestly i probably wouldn't have ordered if I was going to pay $7 shipping for one game. bastards.
 
So far, my order looks OK.

The two non-preorder games I ordered are showing to be in process, with SH4 and KUF showing as back-ordered, and at the righr prices.

I'll have to keep an eye on this and make sure it's OK as it goes.
 
guessed: I'm thinking that was some sarcasm there, but whatever. $10 off isn't an outrageous deal so there was a reasonable chance they could have pulled through on it.

Jimbo504: I'm in the same situation as you, I ordered Star Ocean III and Phantom Brave, and with the Phantom Brave order cancelled the shipping is ridiculous for just one game. I didn't get an e-mail either about the cancellation, so I sent an e-mail requesting my entire order be cancelled (which better happen since SOIII is on back order anyhow). I paid with a VISA so if they try and charge me I'll call up my CC company and have them tell Outpost where to shove it.

All that being said, I'm once again looking for some decent deals on Star Ocean III and Phantom Brave (preferrably limited edition but at this point I may just give up on that). Thanks!

I know you can get the calendar for free at some stores. I know they allowed me to pick one up since I've been there so often recently thanks to CAG, so maybe they'll do the same for you.

Uggh. That $7 shipping is killer. I still couldn't pass up Silent Hill 4 even with the shipping. I threw in Eddie Murphy: Raw on DVD for $9.99 to make the shipping seem more reasonable since it's for two items. :)

Finally, I broke down and bought Kingdom Under Fire as well once it was back up. Hell, if they'd put Phantom Brave back up for $39.99, I'd get that as well.

Holy crap! Hoshigami has to be the hardest srpg I've ever played. I mean it took me about 3 or 4 tries just to beat the first couple battles and I'm far from an inexperienced srpg player. I haven't played that much of it but other than the difficulty it seems like a worthy purchase if you like srpg's.
 
Has anyone not had their FABLE 30.99 pre-order placed on backorder status?

I've heard that this has happened to a few people now... it seems a little fishy to me considering that you can still pre-order FABLE on outpost.com but now it's full price.

My Fable order has just been back ordered, and I actually ordered pretty early. So until I actually get the game, I would not call these games good deals.

Is anyone showing a charge for shipping when they try to order GTA? I change the shipping method to ground and it shows shipping as $6.93.

It's ground shipping so no you won't get it the first day of release. Small price to pay for that price though.

Edit: The Free Shipping option doesn't seem to be working anymore.....
 
Easy question - Will they charge me right away on a Preorder?

I want GTA too but the free shipping won't show up for me either..

If you substruct 4-6 dlrs for the shipping fee compare the original offer $35 + shipping, it is pretty much the same, right? Of course for people wo need to pay tax, there is difference.
