XBOX Kingdom under Fire is $39.99 when you add it to your cart. $23 on the description page only. must be an error.
Now it appears to the exact opposite...

I called them up today (waiting on hold 25 minutes Shocked ) and told them that Kingdom Under Fire was showing on their site at $23.66, versus my pre-order price of $26.50. The guy I spoke with said he was going to do a credit for the difference up-front, so when it ships out, it should charge me for the $26.50, though I'll already have the credit of $2.84 on my card.

That way, they don't have to mess with my order, I get it for $23.66 and I stay in the queue for getting it when they arrive.

And also, this guy had no clue about the phone issues I reported last night, where I couldn't get to them via phone from 10:00-midnight ET last night. He also told me that they're getting in some additional people in to help out with the sales they're offering. Some of the new people hadn't been trained quite right yet, though they're fixing that, to help with some of the customer service issues they're getting.

Bottom line: if you pre-ordered KUF at $26.50, call them and see if they'll do the same for you that they did for me, to get it down to $23.66 net price and not dork up your order.

sorry if any of these are reposts
awesome is this the best deal for this game?

I just added KUF to my cart and it comes out to $39.99 again. It says 23.66 on the description page. Any ideas why it comes up the $23.66 sometimes and $39.99 others?

I just called Outpost and they said that 39.99 is the correct price. The customer service is extremely rude: "well, you can always cancel the order".

Hey quit complainin they dont spend alot on service so they can offer you the deals on merchandise LOL, thats they way it has ALWAYS been at my frys store, the reps know nothing about the merchandise, all I ask them is where an item is or if they are out of an item or price, anything more and you'd be pushing your luck.

PC Games
Everquest Omens of War: $19.99
Neverwinter Nights Platinum: $39.99 + free shipping
Call of Duty: $16.99
Planetside: $2.99 *grin*
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield: $19.99

some of these may be repeated, and if so, I apologize.

I was just about to take advantage of that star wars battlefront deal, but it isnt so muvh of a deal after shipping. I live in Florida, and they wanted to chrge me $6.50 for ground shipping. The game ended up being $45. So, I said screw it.
dam lets see how long our fables are going to be backordered
I called earlier today, and the lady told me that the preorders have had their shipments delayed until next tuesday (21st), and then the ground shipping will arrive friday or monday the week after.

ahhh what a long wait...

i figure u guys need to know but i was talkin to an outpost rep and he said that san andreas has 450 ppl on the waiting list......sry to break ppls hearts(as well as mine) its gonna take a while to get ur game if u wanted that

Gah, shipping for Planetside is more than the game itself. But I did tell myself that I'd buy the game when it dropped below $10...bah, can't decide...

That's absurd. They should order more copies from now on if they're going to have deals like this.

Thankfully, Burnout 3 and The Sims 2 will keep me plenty busy until then.

Hey, just saw the earlier post about Sims 2 and Burnout 3 keeping you busy. Are yours actually shipping? I've read a ton of merchant reviews that say Outpost puts things on backorder and then cancels them all together so I'm a little worried...

CrashSpyro123 that is the funniest thing i've seen all day. Thank You.

Anyways for everyone ordering from Outpost.com if you have a Frys store in your area you can get ANY of those games for the same price the wednesday of release. Better to pay the $2-3 for tax then to wait an extra week or so for the game to be shipped. Oh and i bought Burnout 3 - xbox today for $34.99 from frys.

They now have Def Jam:Fight for NY for $34.99 (PS2 ONLY again....damn them Outpost) Oh well, I already have mine coming for XBOX for $19.99 + shipping/tax

I'm never shopping at Outpost.com again. This is complete BS. At the very least, they could mention on their website that there's a huge queue (or something to that effect) so people at least have some warning before placing their order. Looks like the EB in the mall is getting my $50.

EDIT: That was in reference to Fable.

same with san andreas i was lucky the guy told me about it......... id rather wait till sa comes on the shelves cuz the only hassle is that you have to get there b4 everyone else  ....so run
I don't mind waiting two weeks or even a month for Fable.
You're a more patient man than I. Salute.

If you get Fry's ads, you could possibly price match them at a store like Best Buy or Circuit City to get Fable for the listed price in the ad. Like I am. Thankfully, Toys R Us can price match my pre-order to the Fry's ad.

Nah, it's just that I'm not too hyped for the game in the first place, not to mention that I already have way too many games to play at the moment.

This is funny. Everyone got all psyched up about the wild and crazy Outpost deals until the reality hit that Outpost is a shitty place to order from.

I always thought preorders were intended to be a way to guarentee a game at release by allowing a store to make allowances when it orders the games. This is pretty annoying. I knew they'd probably ship a couple days after release, but a week or more is just too long for a preordered game.

$6.50 for crappy shipping is ridiculous BTW. The company they use is absolutely horrible. I was home all day when my Silent Hill 4 was delivered, yet the guy didn't even bother to knock on my door. Instead, he left the package on my doorstep, when it was raining, and I live at the front of an apartment building on a busy street so any number of people could have stolen it. I guess maybe he figured the rain would deter any potential thieves, although it had the side effect of leaving my package soaked. Luckily the game was fine.

Actually, I didn't get them from Outpost.com. Sorry.

When I pre-ordered SH4 and KUF, I ordered two other games at the same time and piggy-backed the shipment cost into all four games, which was much more bearable than just one.

Outpost uses DHL/Airbone ground service for their cheap shipping, which at least gives you a tracking number, to make some benefit out of the ugly shipping cost.

My SH4 shipped out on Thursday of last week and arrived on Monday, which wasn't terrible. KUF is still listed as having no date of shipment, though since it's not supposed to be out until the 21st, I have time to sit tight and not complain for a while about it.

I do have to gripe about their customer service being pretty bad, partly because they admitted to me over the phone that they didn't have enough people and the new people they're bringing on-board to help haven't had enough training. When I tried calling them on Monday night to ask them a question about KUF, I couldn't get them on the phone at all for the two hours before they closed for the night. Speaking to them on Tuesday, they didn't have a clue of why it didn't work.

I think in the future, I'll only order from them if the price is so low that it's worth the potential hassle. Definitely a learning experience on their service. So far, my order has been OK, though the issues with their customer service concern me some.

I wonder why so few businesses use the plain old postal service. You can ship a PS2 game first class for around $2 with a tracking number, and it will generally be a bit faster than the cheap courier services (UPS ground, etc.) As an added bonus, the postman generally isn't lazy and will leave a package with the apartment office rather than out on the sidewalk.

Heh, well, at least they're honest. Personally I don't mind too much if it takes them an extra week or so to ship something, it's worth saving $15 for it. Just as long as they actually SHIP it and don't cancel it...

Places I've ordered from recently that use the USPS:

Kahlon.com (computer memory)
EBGames.com
Gamestop.com
Amazon.com
VideoGameDeals.com

The rest have either used DHL ground or UPS ground.

I just called and asked and mine says "Fufilled". Mine shipped out this morning I was told. I wanted to cancel it because a friend and I were going to just buy it at Frys now, but whatever. Guess not. The guy told me that I will get an email late tonight with a tracking number through airborn express I think he said which will be online tomorrow morning.
