Ah, I was not aware of this. I think I shall just wait for them to show up on SpikeTV and catch an episode or two, as one can only assume that they'll be beefing up the roster for their Spike debut.

WWE has apparently been trying to get hold of Scott Hall concerning the production of a nostalgic Razor Ramon doll.

Matt Hardy and Edge have been keeping their distance backstage. The only time they will talk to each other is when they need to discuss a match or segment.

The ongoing drama is said to be taking quite a toll on Lita, who has been travelling alone, and is clearly very uncomfortable with the whole thing.

MediaLifeMagazine.com has an article taking a look at the ratings change from the WWE move of SmackDown! from Thursday to Friday nights on UPN.

This week's RAW scored a 3.3 final cable rating.

According to the USPTO website, WWE has applied for trademark for "Friday Night SmackDown" and one for "Friday Night RAW."

MoviesOnline.ca has news about WWE star and former Tough Enough trainer Al Snow's small role in the upcoming film "The Still Life."

WWE RAW Diva Search winner Ashley Massaro will be the live in-studio guest for Byte This! tonight at WWE.com. The show will also feature live call-in interviews from John Cena and Jim Ross.

-- WWE has released the official poster for the second ever Taboo Tuesday PPV event. Last year WWE had fans choose the matches by logging on to WWE.com and voting for the participants.

The poster is based off that same theme, with Kurt Angle inside a picture of one computer monitor, and John Cena on the other. Between the monitors is Eric Bischoff, tied up and gagged, symbolizing that the fans choose the matches, not the RAW general manager.

The event takes place on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, and will be live on pay-per-view.

- When a WWE writer pitched an idea for a character based on comedian Dave Chappelle, Vince McMahon, having never heard of Chappelle before, reacted with bewilderment. Upon watching some of Chappelle's material, however, McMahon became an instant fan.

- WWE is in talks with a major celebrity for an appearance at WrestleMania 22. Sources say this particular celebrity would offer great crossover appeal.

- Matt Hardy is of the impression that he will be winning this Sunday’s cage match against Edge. Even though he has not been pushed as a main-eventer, he is still optimistic about his long-term future in WWE.

Why is he the dumbest man alive?

Also, a Razor figure would be awesome. Hopefully it comes with a toothpick and gold chains.

You are correct sir!

And DJ Steel, all you really have to do is search for 'Gail Kim topless' in google images.

GOLDBERG HOUSTON, TX RADIO INTERVIEW (thought Guyver would like it) :)

Goldberg came on the program to plug the September 20th DVD release date for "The Longest Yard." Matt and Adam joked about how nice it was of Goldberg to let Adam Sandler be an extra on "his movie." This got a good laugh from Goldberg.

They ran down the list of names in the movie (Steve Austin and Kevin Nash were mentioned.) Goldberg said that the project was really cool. He later added that anytime he can put on the helmet and crack somebody in the head again, that it is a good thing.

Goldberg mentioned that the original "The Longest Yard" was one of his favorite movies as a kid, and that he must have seen it at least 50-100 times.

Matt and Adam mentioned that Houston Chronicle Sportswriter John McClain (who was an extra in the movie) told them to ask about a scene in the movie where Goldberg's character is supposed to be "well endowed." Goldberg said that Adam Sandler owed him a favor, because he left him out of the first two Hanukkah songs.

The talk turned to Goldberg's new show "Automaniac." Matt joked that in honor of Goldberg appearing on the show, the History Channel ran an "Automaniac" marathon. Goldberg said he agreed to do the show because he has a real passion for cars. He said that he has been having a lot of fun with it, and that next season, he is going to be a co-producer.

Adam asked about the transition from wrestling to acting. Goldberg said that he has not taken any acting classes. He said that if roles come his way that's fine, but at 38 years old, he doesn't need to go to Hollywood to "shake hands and kiss babies." Goldberg does mention though that he goes to auditions at least once a week. He said that he would like to do more comedy right now, and maybe pick up more action roles down the line.

They asked if it worried him about being typecast because of his size and look, but Goldberg said that it didn't.

They also brought up "Santa's Slay" which airs on Spike TV on October 20. Goldberg mentioned that it was fun playing a 6-3 280 pound Jewish Santa that goes around killing everybody.

Goldberg said it was a good experience and that he met his wife because of it. She worked as a stunt woman on the movie. He told a story about her doing a stunt where she had to jump from one train to another. Goldberg said that it was very difficult for him to watch her do something like that.

The discussion moved on to wrestling. Matt mentions Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan still wrestling in their 50's. Goldberg at first joked that they were in their 100's, but later added that both men were great inspirations to his career.

Adam asked if he would ever consider a comeback. Goldberg mentioned that he has been approached. Though he didn't say by whom. Goldberg said that wrestling is "a crappy business right now." Goldberg said that the best part was the fans. He thanked all the fans for their support during his career, and also stated that they got him to where he's at. Goldberg does mention though that we will not see him in the ring in his 50's wearing a Speedo, and having flab bounce everywhere.

Adam asked which people Goldberg liked getting in the ring with. He first mentions Sting. Goldberg said that one of the bad things about WCW folding was that he and Sting only had a couple of matches together. He credited Sting with getting him into the business.

He also named his match with Hogan as one of his favorites.

Goldberg said that he enjoyed working with the late Curt Hennig. He really put over Hennig saying that he owed him a lot, and that Hennig was one of those guys that "you could watch for 45 minutes to an hour and never get bored."

Goldberg called wrestling an art form, and said that it was terrific to be a part of it. He stated that the thing he misses most about wrestling is hearing an arena filled with thousands of fans chanting his name. Goldberg said though that it doesn't outweigh the bad that's in the business right now.

The hosts closed the interview by asking if he was sweating last weekend's Georgia Bulldogs game. Goldberg said he loves the passion of college football. He said he's not really a big NFL fan, because he's got too many friends on each team.

Goldberg closed the interview by thanking the fans, and said that he would "be seeing him again real soon."

A personal friend of Sean Waltman recently commented on his current situation with TNA, adding, "It's a shame he blew his TNA deal because after the last two shows, it really looked like he was shaping up and regaining the confidence of management." Another friend of Waltman's also added, "Waltman's f*****. He promised he wouldn't be late with the Spike TV people there".

Numerous Spike TV executives were backstage at the TNA Unbreakable PPV on Sunday and many sat in the front row for the entire show on the hard camera side. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves and were observering crowd reactions very closely. According to reports, they stayed out of everyone's way backstage and didn't interfere in any decisions or operations. TNA President Dixie Carter and top executive Frank Dickerson seemed very pleased with the event as well. One of the Spike TV officials will also be taking part in production duties for the company on a regular basis along with David Sahadi, Keith Mitchell and Kevin Sullivan.

TNA management requested that Kevin Nash attend the Unbreakable PPV this past Sunday so that he could be introduced to Spike TV executives. Nash was said to have finished at the top of a focus group study Spike did to rate the recognition factor of certain wrestlers, some who are on the current roster and others that aren't. Nash only stayed backstage for a few hours and left before the show concluded to make a flight to California for some film commitments. He is scheduled to attend the September 27th TV tapings for Spike TV and has agreed to work the Bound for Glory PPV on October 23rd even though he hasn't signed a long-term contract.

Daniel Puder finished up with WWE last night at the OVW TV tapings. At a post show meeting involving Paul Heyman among others, Paul stated that Daniels was a true professional in the business and didn't have to fly himself in from California to do the right thing but he did it anyways. Heyman said that in the past when he was screwed, he would screw back but Puder didn't and was a true professional. He said that he thought Puder had a lot of potential and apparently WWE did not but noted that they could never not call him anything but a professional.

Ken Kennedy (Ken Anderson) made a very emotional speech at the post show meeting noting that he was moving back home to Minnesota to be with his family who are suffering from a serious family illness. Kennedy was scheduled to remain living and training in Louisville until October and appear on OVW TV, but was told to go home to be with his family. Anderson had been working for OVW for quite some time so a lot of the guys got chocked up during his 'farewell' speech.

The entire post-show meeting was said to be very emotional with even Al Snow getting choked up after a impassioned motivational speech by Heyman. Snow is known to be very hard on the trainees but fair at the same time so him getting choked up caught some off guard.

CM Punk made his debut last night and was sent to the hospital afterwards with a possible broken nose and eardrum injury after a hard slap by Danny Inferno.

Tommy Dreamer was at the tapings last night working with talent. He was also at Deep South Wrestling in Georgia earlier in the day.

As noted, WWE fired Rudy Fischmann last week; he was a WWE creative team member. He was told that he just did not “mix well” with the WWE system. One source in the company said Fischmann was considered a “mark” backstage. Even though the decision to release him was made a week or so earlier, the last straw came when he chewed out Ashley and Victoria after a botched match on the September 5 edition of RAW. However, one source said he was consoling them for even being put out there for match without warning. Nonetheless, that wasn’t the projected feeling Fischmann let off.

Fischmann worked previously in Hollywood producing documentaries and reality TV shows. He lasted about 4-months in WWE.

The writing team now consists of around ten people. There is a constant revolving door nature for this department, so most wrestlers barely have time to learn their names. Stephanie McMahon heads up the creative team which includes Michael Hayes, Ted DiBiase, and Dusty Rhodes. Dave Lagana heads up the SmackDown writing staff. In Brian Gewirtz’s absence Ed Koskie heads the RAW writing team. Four other writers known by wrestlers by their first names are Alex, David, Christopher, and Robert. Bruce Prichard also takes part in conference calls almost every week. There are plans for Lagana to be moved to primarily the New Media Department to work alongside Shane McMahon, so Rhodes may end up taking his spot as head SmackDown writer. Lagana’s move is considered a promotion. Court Bauer is working in the front office with a primary role being formatting Velocity. Gewirtz, former head RAW writer, is developing the script for a WWE Films movie being targeted for Kurt Angle in a starring role.

Dusty Rhodes has been spotted regularly at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut the past couple weeks. His official start date with the company was September 7 and he has been visible around the office ever since.

The secret WWE Diva to pose next for Playboy has finally been leaked. She happens to be on the Raw roster and she will be at the Unforgiven pay-per-view this coming Sunday. The next WWE Diva to follow in the tender footsteps of Sable, Chyna, Torrie Wilson, Sable and Torrie again and Christy Hemme is none other than ….. Candice Michelle!

Wrestler Marty Wright, better known as The Boogieman in WWE, hyper-extended his knees in a match last month so his vignettes were pulled as he recovers.

Ken Kennedy is said to have a tremendous backstage reputation. In OVW he was knows a good worker and an all around great guy. He was brought up to the SmackDown brand after sending Tommy Dreamer some of his tapes of Independent work he had done in Wisconsin.

The Raw-brand Saturday morning show on USA, which debuts Oct. 8, has been named "WWE A.M. RAW." It’s a way to accentuate the timeslot, the brand-affiliation, and capitalize on the well-known A-show title.

For Trish Stratus fans, she will be signing autographs at the Wal-Mart in Mississauga, Ontario at 3PM on 9/17.

JBL RADIO INTERVIEW

-- "Words can't describe it. It's one of the greatest honors of my entire life," says JBL when asked about teaming with another former guest on the show, "Farooq" Ron Simmons. He goes on to add, "I've never had more fun than being apart of the APA."

-- The APA got started when JBL and Ron Simmons were sitting and having a few beers and telling some stories. Vince and Shane McMahon walked in on this and the partnership was brought to television.

-- Since his beer drinking, card playing, and paid protection days with the APA, JBL has come into his own as the current character that he is. When asked about the transition and if the character is who he is, JBL says "It's a little magnified but it's exactly what I am. I've moved to New York. I've been blessed to be successful on the stock market. It's who I am and that's what makes it so easy to do. I grew up a fan of JR Ewing from the TV show Dallas so I always wanted to be this character. I'm having a ball."

-- Hulk Hogan recently sat down with Chuck and James and in that interview, he mentioned that a lot of the younger guys don't "get it" in terms of reading the fans and reacting to what the fans do. Does JBL agree? "Absolutely, it isn't their fault," explains JBL. He feels the lack of working in front of 20 people and working in front of 20,000 people right off the bat hinders their ability to learn the live theater aspect of the business. "They learn the wrestling moves but they don't learn wrestling. It's almost a dying art what someone like Hulk Hogan can do."

-- "You simply have got to feel. You have to feel what they want and you have to include them in your match. You can't go in there with a set choreographed wrestling match. You have to react. But to do that, you're going to make a lot of mistakes. You try to tell these guys, it's okay. You'll learn. But, if you don't do that, you'll never learn the business."

-- Have guys like Batista and John Cena grasped the above concept? "They have grasped it and I think that's one of the reasons they're in the positions they're in," says JBL.

-- "There's a show in the works right now," says JBL about perhaps branching out and doing a more political talk TV show down the line. Currently JBL hosts a weekly talk show in 150 markets on the subject and plans to explore political talk radio and TV once his days in the ring are over. "That's my plan. If you don't have a plan, you don't have much," says JBL.

-- About the ECW One Night Stand incident with the Blue Meanie, "That was no big deal. He got busted open with a punch. I got busted open with a punch last week by Batista. Those things happens. He's not a bad guy, he's a good guy. I like the Blue Meanie. This is a grown up sport played by grown ups. It's not ballet."

-- "You know I heard Tracy was upset with me but I have no idea why. Tracy Smothers and I, we wrestled whenever he came in, I have no idea what his gimmick was in the WWE. I've known him for 10 or 15 years. We've always been friends but I've heard for some reason, he's upset with me. I have no idea what that's about."

-- Does JBL consider SmackDown's move from Thursday to Friday night a positive? "We have to spin it as a positive. I think it can be a positive. We don't have CSI or Friends to compete with. It's pretty much wide open on Friday night," says JBL.

-- Does JBL feel the cut version of SmackDown that aired last Friday was hurt by only being an hour? "It is a determent. We promoted this show forever. I can't believe they would make this a one our show. I know everything that is going on with the hurricane relief but this is the one show that makes money for UPN and I can't understand how they wouldn't find another way to do this."

-- "When I started in this business, I always wanted this run and I always thought it could happen. I was a tag team wrestler for 8 or 9 years in the WWE and was getting up in age and didn't think I'd ever get that run. I just didn't think it was possible. It was something that came out of the blue. I'm loving every minute of it. Maybe that's why I'm enjoying it so much, because I worked so hard at it."

-- JBL thought he was ready when he first got to the WWE in 1995 but looking back, he realizes now he wasn't ready. But now that he has that run, "sometimes I look up at the crowd and I think this is really cool."

-- "Eddie Guerrero could wrestle with a broom stick and have a great match. I have more respect for Eddie Guerrero than I think anybody ever in this wrestling business. He's the greatest wrestler I've ever seen."

-- "John Cena, he's really surprising to me. He's one of the hardest workers I've ever seen. He works hard at everything he does. He works hard at his hip hop music, which I hate by the way."

-- JBL feels Barry Windham is one of the most smooth wrestlers he's ever seen in the ring. He sees a lot of Barry in Randy Orton and feels Randy Orton may be able to take that to the next level.

-- JBL feels Vince McMahon is, though a common answer, a genius. He also puts him over as one of the hardest workers he's ever met not just in wrestling but in life.

-- You can catch JBL every Friday night on UPN as a part of WWE SmackDown!

One of my favorite wrestling moments ever was at the end of WM8. Hulk Hogan was getting beat down by Sid Justice and Papa Shango for almost 10 minutes, and then Warrior's theme music hits. I don't know if I ever marked out that hard ever before, or since.

Great update jack!

Goldberg said he agreed to do the show because he has a real passion for cars. He said that he has been having a lot of fun with it, and that next season, he is going to be a co-producer.

I wonder if he'll punch anymore cars? Anyone else recall when he broke his hand doing so in the WCW

Ken Kennedy is said to have a tremendous backstage reputation. In OVW he was knows a good worker and an all around great guy. He was brought up to the SmackDown brand after sending Tommy Dreamer some of his tapes of Independent work he had done in Wisconsin.

Sky seems to be the limit for this Kennedy guy, I've read nothing but good things about him so far, creative better not mess this one up.

A job with WWE creative really intrigues me, although I have no previous experience unfortunately. I wonder if they have internships for that particular area :whistle2:k

Maybe one day it'll say: five other writers known by wrestlers by their first names are Alex, David, Christopher, Robert, and Horsey; although, I doubt ALL of the other four will be around much longer...

Ha, on my way home from my girlfriend's apartment tonight, the local alternative radio station was like "And this Sunday, WWE Unforgiven, Angle's going to challenge Cena for the belt!" (they're huge wrestling fans) and they're like.. caller number 9 wins a WWE prize pack.. so i'm like what the hell, i'll try, I never get through.

what the fuck, i'm caller number 9. So I have to go to the radio station tomorrow and get the "WWE Prize Pack" and see what it is. Hopefully the WM21 DVD is in it or something.

Probably a wise choice, honestly though one has to wonder what a WWE prize pack entails these days. Maybe some of those giant foam RVD hands.

Ask Scorch, he's much more involved than I am in collecting themes (don't you claim to have every ECW theme?)

There was a website one of you (again, I'm thinking Scorch) recommended, but the fuckin' admins never processed me in, so I gave up on it. Perhaps you'll have luck finding the theme there.

There's a great story I have about WrestleMania 8 and the Dusty Rhodes/Macho Man mixed tag. Perhaps I'll tell it someday.
MAJOR NEWS: JEFF JARRETT REGAINS NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FROM RAVEN IN CANADA ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

America’s Most Wanted shocks the fans by helping Jarrett win the gold

(Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada) – The self-proclaimed “King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett regained the NWA World Heavyweight Title on Thursday night in Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada, defeating Raven with the help of America’s Most Wanted.

In a shocking turn of events, “Wildcat” Chris Harris and “Cowboy” James Storm turned their backs on the fans and aligned themselves with Jarrett, ultimately costing Raven the bout and the World Title.

The NWA World Heavyweight Title match took place under the banner of Border City Wrestling out of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Following the bout, NWA Championship Committee member Larry Zbyszko was in contact with the promoters of the show, and Zbyszko has informed TNAwrestling.com the title change is indeed official.

Thanks to America’s Most Wanted, Jeff Jarrett has fulfilled his proclamation of being NWA World Heavyweight Champion with the debut of “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV on October 1.

“I told Raven…I told EVERYONE that for the good of TNA Wrestling, I needed to be NWA World Heavyweight Champion when we hit SpikeTV!” Jarrett told TNAwrestling.com via phone after the bout. “I knew TNA management was trying to keep me down, so I had to get that title back on MY terms in Canada where they couldn’t stop me! Chris Harris and James Storm were the only ones out of that entire locker room who had the brains to listen to me. They made the right choice! Now roll out the red carpet, because YOUR champion - The King Of The Mountain - and America’s Most Wanted – the cornerstones of TNA - are coming to SpikeTV, and there’s nothing TNA management can do to stop us!”

“Jarrett was right all along – it was time for America’s Most Wanted to finally look after OUR best interests for a change,” Chris Harris told TNAwrestling.com. “We built this company from the ground up and we’ll be damned if anyone was going to take our spot – the spot we RIGHTFULLY own. Who was looking out for us? The fans? TNA management? Raven? No – Jeff Jarrett was looking out for us. And guess what? Now we’ve got his back, and now WE call all the shots.”

James Storm added: “By the way…hey Naturals, shine up the tag team titles – it’s only a matter of time now before they’re coming home, one way or another. Sorry ‘bout your damn luck…”

Raven left the arena immediately following the bout and refused to comment on the situation.

TNAwrestling.com will have a further update on Friday afternoon following the events that unfolded on Thursday night in Ontario with the crowning of new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett!
IS THAT ALL ABOUT????
One of my favorite wrestling moments ever was at the end of WM8. Hulk Hogan was getting beat down by Sid Justice and Papa Shango for almost 10 minutes, and then Warrior's theme music hits. I don't know if I ever marked out that hard ever before, or since.
i was at wrestlemania 8, and when that happened, i was marking out like a young man that has never marked out before.

There's a great story I have about WrestleMania 8 and the Dusty Rhodes/Macho Man mixed tag. Perhaps I'll tell it someday.
You will tell it now! Or suffer greatly!

Damn! It sucks that Jarrett won the title back already. I was just getting ready to start watching TNA again, but I'll forget about it now.

I saw TNA Unbreakable yesterday and it was very entertaining. Aside from the crappy matches, it was one of the better events I've seen this year.

The X-Division match was great! A.J. Styles & Christopher Daniels were awesome. Samoa Joe was OK, but didn't really show me anything extraordinary. Perhaps it was the triple-threat format that limited him or something. Anyway, it was a good event, and well worth spending a few hours with.

Another thing, what was the big deal about Jeff Hardy's match? From what I read, it was supposed to be the worst match of the night. I was waiting to see blown spots, etc. but all I got was an average match. Jeff's never been a strong wrestler; he's more of a spot guy. Matt usually helped him look good in their tag matches.

I was working on the ECW themes for a while, and still am. I think i'm up to 80 themes.

I have a suspicious feeling that Jarrett is dropping the title at Bound For Glory, and that giving him the title is to help draw interest in the main event. Still, dumb idea to piss off the MANY Raven fans like myself.

They had better give him back the effin title. Yeah, I know I'm a Raven mark (which is why I started watching TNA to begin with) but damn it... Raven is a far better champ than Jarrett will ever be even in his wildest dreams.

See that right there is why TNA will continue to suck. Before going to their new slot on SpikeTV they had to give the strap back to Jarrett. TNA sucks now, sucked yesterday, and will continue to suck as long as Jeff Jarrett is calling the shots.

Although, the real victim here is Raven, why the hell Vince never pushed him is beyond me. I think Raven's release pissed me off more than just about anyone without the last name Hardy... course later on it was revealed it was Jeff's own fault he was let go.

I'm going to wait and see where TNA goes with this. Even with Jarrett as champ they still have the X Division. But if Jarrett remains champ then as far as I am concerned the X Division title is the true TNA main belt which means that AJ Styles is the face of TNA (which I got no problems with as AJ has earned it).

Up late at night? Are you hungry? Hungry for rasslin' news? Then grab your knife and fork, and dig into Saucy Jack's rasslin' news! Brought to you by... The Porcupine Racetrack!

- There are no plans for Dusty Rhodes, who recently signed a deal to be apart of the creative staff, to return to WWE television. However, Rhodes would still like one final match with Ric Flair.

- Bam Bam Bigelow has signed a legends contract with WWE.

- The feeling within TNA is that Mick Foley used the company in negotiations with WWE to land a new multi-year contract.

- It appears Sean Waltman had verbally agreed to TNA's offered contract on 8/30, after a discussion with Terry Taylor.

- A problem for TNA with the Monday night replays on Spike TV is that on weekends of a PPV, the replay show that aired on Saturday night will hype the PPV that happened the night before.

- Sonjay Dutt and Alex Shelley are booked to challenge Fujita and Hidaka on Friday night for the NWA International Lightweight tag team titles in Chiba.

Kenneth Suna sent in the following recap of WWE's shareholder meeting:

Hey, thought you might be interested in a brief recap of the WWE Stockholder meeting which is posted below:

I went to the WWE stockholder meeting today in Stamford, CT. Vince said some interesting stuff, mostly about hollywood and other media outlets. He talked about the cruiserweights and that they need to establish personalities so the fans like them, not risk their lives. He said he only allows the pros to do the hi-flying, not the guy who thinks he knows how. He addressed the tag team problem and said it is on the mend. Vince mentioned they will be going to 15 pay per views per YEAR. Gross.

A fan asked Vince if Shane or Steph will take over when he retires and Vince said something very VERY interesting,

"Just because you have the last name McMahon does not mean you will take over the company. Same goes for if your last name is Leveque." Oooh, so, Triple H may be taking over after all someday. Vince said you must EARN the opportunity to work for this company, you have to prove that you want it. Vince said he pities his children because he makes them work EXTRA hard, at which point Linda did an RVD move, pointing to herself and said, "and me!"

A fan questioned Vince about new talents coming to the WWE. He said there are plenty in the developmental school, but one already on Smackdown has a VERY bright future, and that man is Ken Kennedy....KENNEDY.

When asked about UFC and the new Monday Night Wars, he laughed and said Spike is hallucinating. He thought UFC had a good thing going, but that it will get slaughtered to compete w/ the WWF. Vince said the owner of Spike is throwing UFC against RAW because he is spiteful that they switched back to USA. When I asked him privately about TNA, he said, "let them do what they want. I don't view them as a threat."

Yes, there will be ANOTHER Diva Search next year...boooring.

Somebody asked him about his workout to which he responded,

"I'm leg pressing 1000 pounds now, which my doctor advises against, but whatever." I piped in that he beats me in the leg press by 400 pounds, he checked out my legs and said, "good work."

Linda McMahon drives a BEAUTIFUL Mercedes SL500 - burgundy.

After autographs and pictures, we were given a tour of the television studio (where the meeting was held). We saw where Smackdown is edited, where Jim Johnston records the music, and the WWE/ECW/WCW/NWA library which is absolutely AMAZING. It was a sight to see 70,000 hours worth of tape cassettes.

All in all, the day was amazing. Vince looked to be in great shape, was VERY nice to all of the fans, took his time to answer, chat and sign autographs. Same went for Linda, although she left quickly after the meeting whereas Vince stayed, chatting.

Vince seemed to be in a great mood and the reason being...? Check below, this was just issued by WWE:

From WWE.com:

Greetings from under the 200X black, Resistol hat from an Oklahoma Sooner who is counting the minutes until this Sunday’s Unforgiven pay per view event, the first, from my home state of Oklahoma ! Let’s get this Sooner Schooner rolling…

I have been busier than ever this week doing RAW of course on Monday and spending a tremendous amount of time helping promote Sunday’s Unforgiven from the Ford Center in Oklahoma City. Between radio and TV appearances along with newspaper interviews, I have had just about more than I can say grace over the past few weeks.

Needless to say, no one ever said this business was going to be easy or without challenges but the results of Sunday’s Unforgiven event is the true payoff of all these extra efforts. I really believe that the OKC crowd will be hot and man does that help make any broadcast better.

Kurt Angle is the only man in NCAA history to win the NCAA heavyweight title at under 200 pounds when he beat N.C. State ’s 275 pound Sylvester Terkey a few years back. Angle is a wrestling machine and has honestly never looked more effective than he has recently. With John Cena traveling to Italy over the next couple of days for promotional work for WWE, how much will jet lag affect Cena, who is obviously not 100 percent healthy as I write this, Sunday versus Angle for the WWE Championship? For Cena to win, he must make this match a fight or an all-out brawl because if Cena doesn’t, Angle’s deadly focus may be too much for “The Champ” to overcome. Angle may simply be untouchable right now.

I liked the strong messages sent this past Monday on RAW especially from HBK, Flair, and Edge/Lita. There is a difference in hearing and listening and I personally listened intently to the aforementioned talents’ remarks more closely because of what was said.

I like it when other fat guys do well. You see we “husky” guys have to stick together so I am smiling about the job Charlie Weis is doing at Notre Dame for the Fighting Irish football squad. Weis is a motivator who has his players believing in themselves again and in the hallowed legacy of the Irish program. I am a firm believer that in any business negative motivation usually fails and quite often ends up biting a suit in the ass.

OU football Sooners head man and my friend Bob Stoops may be on hand Sunday night in OKC’s Ford Center to see his old pal the Nature Boy attempt to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time when he challenges Carlito. Flair is a marvel and he truly believes he has “one more run” left in him. To me, that means not only winning the Intercontinental Championship but going after the WWE Championship as well.

How fortunate are Cade and Murdoch to get a Tag Team Championship match so quickly in their WWE tenure? I hope these two pups realize what an opportunity that awaits them this Sunday and they take full advantage of the moment. Did this opportunity come too soon for this young duo? Are they ready for the pressure of wrestling for a championship on a live, worldwide broadcast? We’ll find out Sunday, but the landscape seems ready for some new teams on both RAW and SmackDown to step up and contribute in a major way. I know I have said this before, and recently, but damn I would like to see some red-hot tag teams start tearing up RAW and SmackDown.

“Kerwin White” attempting to be someone he is not is ridiculous.

Trish Stratus told me Monday night after RAW that her back started improving at a much more rapid rate when she took up yoga. I know some NFL guys who utilize yoga to help with lower back issues, too. Needless to say, it was great to see Trish back on RAW, or any where else for that matter. With Trish coming off an extended injury, this one is really hard to predict. But as a red-blooded male, I sure am anxious to see what the ladies wear to the ring and how this live presentation will climax…. so to speak. I think I can adequately predict that Coach and King will enthusiastically fawn over these lovely ladies as if either one actually had a chance with any of the participants.

I have a gut feeling that Matt Hardy is going to Slobberknock Edge inside the cage Sunday, which means in layman’s terms I feel Matt will win this much-anticipated match at Unforgiven. Go ahead and make your appropriate wise-ass remarks about my prediction history, but even a blind squirrel finds an acorn occasionally. And just think, IF Matt wins, perhaps some pundits will cease using the term “poor Matt” when referring to the talented Hardy.

The ranks of the college football world are dotted with wrestling heritage. Vader’s son Jesse White (#66) is a center for Oklahoma and may be redshirted, James Laurinaitis, the son of Road Warrior Animal, is playing some linebacker (#33) for Ohio State, Wild Samoan Afa’s son Afa, Jr. is playing defensive tackle for UConn, while Wild Samoan Sika’s son Joe Anoai is the starting defensive tackle for Georgia Tech. Do you know of others?

I really enjoyed being on ESPN Radio’s “All Night with Todd Wright” Wednesday night. Todd knows his stuff prepares like a true pro and follows WWE on a regular basis. He kept me company on my five-hour return trip from Little Rock late Monday night with his radio program.

According to published reports, former wrestler Sam Houston, who was once married to one of the businesses first valets, Baby Doll, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for repeated DUI arrests. When I interviewed Jake Roberts for his shocking and revealing DVD recently, Jake mentioned that little brother Sam was not doing well and was having drinking problems. This is such a sad commentary for this family for many reasons, including the fact that Sam has two young daughters that he has been apparently estranged from for years that he will now probably not see until they are young women. I’ve known this young man since he was in elementary school and I am truly sorry for this development. Perhaps Sam can get the help he needs while he is away and can start his life anew in a few years. Whether he realizes it or not, he is being given a second chance at life. Let’s hope he makes the most of it.

I would personally like to see more “Legends” utilized from time to time on both RAW and SmackDown. For instance, I would be curious to hear what Arn Anderson would have to say about his friend Ric Flair’s chances of winning the Intercontinental Championship for the first time. Can you image the verbiage that would be flying if Double A were ever a guest in Carlito’s Cabana?

JBL just got named to the All-100-Year football team at Abilene Christian University as an offensive tackle. Former Philadelphia Eagle running back Wilbert Montgomery who also made the all-time squad. Congratulations to JBL who may live the life of luxury in New York City , but he will always be a Texan to me.

“Heartbreak and Triumph - The Shawn Michaels Story” will be on sale at book stores around November 15. I liked this book a lot because I lived a good portion of it and could readily relate to it. Bret Hart fans may not be overwhelmed with Shawn’s side of the story about the 1997 Montreal Survivor Series, but I found it to be a compelling, albeit small, portion of HBK’s life story. Shawn is another blessed individual, as he flirted with death on more than one occasion and he talks about it.

Speaking of books, I have really enjoyed reading Larry Matysik’s book “Wrestling at the Chase” the story of St. Louis wrestling featuring legendary promoter Sam Muchnick. St. Louis was as well promoted as any city in the world for many, many years. Nice job, Larry!

Heidenreich told me Monday night that his family literally lost everything they had as a result of Hurricane Katrina when it hit his New Orleans home. Heidenreich thinks he may move to Atlanta or elsewhere to get away from the potential damage of another natural disaster of Katrina’s magnitude.

Unless plans change, yours truly gets the honor of introducing the legendary rock band ZZ Top this Friday night at Oklahoma City ’s Zoo Amphitheatre.

I feel badly about the comment I made a few weeks ago about how annoying I felt ESPN’s Trev Alberts was. Now the former Cornhusker is gone from the all-sports cable network. Geez, I feel badly for the guy. Really. I know the feeling of getting the ax. Twice.

By the way, is there a “Hip School” for ESPN anchors. That seems like the call to order these days for most of the younger talking heads. Maybe I’ll check into their correspondence course but then again it just may be too damned late for old J.R. (Does that count for talking in the third person?)

Should wrestlers be mandated to have to make a donation to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina’s relief effort every time they use a clothesline more than, oh say, three times in one match?

If I were to start wearing sunglasses on Monday Night RAW would it make me look more hip or just more stupid? Just wondering.

If you are in the OKC area this weekend for Unforgiven, drop by my fellow Sooner buddy and Norman resident Toby Keith’s “I Love this Bar and Grill” in Bricktown around 7 p.m. for a big kickoff celebration for Unforgiven, which will feature several RAW Superstars. The food there is awesome. Trust me on that one. I may even eat something “fried” Saturday night.

O.K., so my Oklahoma Sooners are struggling at 1-1 but I refuse to waiver for my support of my team and, by the way, I don’t leave games early like some fair weather Sooner fans who seem to only be fans “when we win”.

We are just getting WWE 24/7 here in the OKC area and man am I gonna be a regular viewer of this classic wrestling material. That aspect of WWE business is growing and in my opinion has a HUGE upside potential.

Enjoy Unforgiven this Sunday on pay per view! I’m personally as pumped about this event as I was about broadcasting WrestleMania because of the old “home field advantage” and having the privilege of being part of something special for my state. Take care.

Now on to your e-mails…

Dusty Rhodes has mentioned on WWE.com that he would like to wrestle Ric Flair one more time at a WWE non-televised live event. What do you think about these two legends locking up one more time? Don’t you think people would pay to see it on TV?

If provided the adequate time to re-establish the rivalry on TV, I absolutely believe this “last dance” would be attractive to many fans. I would pay to see it without a doubt. The promos between the two going into the match could be priceless. After decades in wrestling, these guys have not lost any passion for their life’s work. Devin, I have been fortunate enough to call many of the Flair-Rhodes matches over the years and would love to be around to do this one too, if it were to ever happen.

Name: Steve Wheeler

What happened to senior official Earl Hebner? I've noticed that he hasn't been officiating any matches? I remember many of the classic matches that he has officiated, and I was wondering if he decided to retire.

Earl and his twin brother Dave are, unfortunately, neither still with the company. Someone told me recently that they heard Earl was doing some carpentry work in Virginia. I wish them both good health and success.

Name: Jeffrey P.

When will WWE bring back Mean Gene?

Jeffery, I’m a big Mean Gene fan and hopefully we will see more of him in the future now that his health has bounced back and that he is feeling much better. I also expect Mean Gene to be an integral part of our WWE 24/7 presentation.

Name: Chuck Minor

Where is Sid Vicious and what is he doing? Will he ever come back and compete? Thank you.

The last I heard, big Sid was still living in the West Memphis, Arkansas. After severely injuring his leg in the old WCW a few years back, Sid was unable to compete for quite some time and has only recently, from what I have heard, been able to get back in the ring to wrestle. It’s been years since I have seen him, and his name rarely comes up in conversations I partake in here in WWE. I would never say never, but my best guess is that he probably won’t be coming back our way, which could mean Sid might be back next week, but I wouldn’t bet my black hat on it. Chances are you will see him hitting balls over the fence on a softball field near you before he competes in a WWE ring again.

Name: John M.

I am 18 years old, and have been a wrestling fan since I was in diapers. First I want to thank you for giving wrestling a voice, second I would greatly appreciate your opinion on the following matter, who do you think was the better mat wrestler, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat or Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, in my opinion, Valentine had a slight skill advantage but Steamboat had much more heart. Once again thanks.

P.S. I would love to see you knock Jonathan Coachman out again!

That’s a really tough call, John, because both men had different styles. Valentine was probably known for being more physical and depended more on his “ground game” than did Steamboat. Ricky’s strengths were his finesse, quickness, fundamental soundness and his desire to win no matter the cost. Steamboat could also fly which was not “The Hammer’s” specialty. So to answer your question based on what I have outlined here, I would probably go with Greg Valentine. If you want to talk about hard-nosed, mat wrestling take a long look at Greg’s dad Johnny Valentine who was as physical as anyone to ever step through the ropes. If you don’t believe me, just ask some of his opponents. “JV” was a real badass.

Name: Alex

I have always enjoyed watching WWE and my Dad’s favorite wrestler was Bruno Sammartino. Do you know what Bruno has been up to? And, do you think Bruno will ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?

Bruno, who recently shaved his head, is a physical freak of nature who still runs several miles a day most every day. The Italian legend looks as if he could still step in the ring and handle himself quite well for someone who is north of 65 years of age. Bruno, who probably weighs around 225, still lives in his hometown of Pittsburgh and makes an occasional appearance at wrestle reunions and civic functions. Bruno did not leave WWE on the best of terms, however, I would love to see him get inducted in the near future. His acceptance speech would be a classic!

Name: JoAnn

Hello Mr. Ross! I recently saw on WWE.com that Tough Enough winner Daniel Puder was released. Why? Also, will we see another Tough Enough show?

I am not 100 percent sure why Puder was released but one has to assume that those doing the scouting and talent evaluations probably felt that Puder was not going to become the WWE Superstar that he was projected to be after winning the Tough Enough Challenge. This certainly doesn’t mean Daniel’s dreams have ended and should serve as a motivational tool to help him get to where he wants to go. Perhaps a different training environment or different coaches will help him improve as it has other athletes who have become household names after changing their surroundings.

It’s hard to say what the future of “Tough Enough” will be as a free standing reality show. I know of no plans to bring it back, but it certainly was a much better show than many of the hard to watch reality shows on TV these days. It also made John “Big” Gaburick a household name in the greater Baltimore area where he is considered one of the most-eligible bachelors in the land of crab cakes even if he does bare an uncanny resemblance to Philadelphia Eagles head honcho Andy Reid.

Name: Dave Camratta

I read online that RAW will be moving back to the USA Network Oct. 3 and the WWE will have WWE Superstars Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Mick Foley, Triple H and Mr. McMahon on the broadcast. What are your thoughts on moving to USA? And, what was your all-time favorite WWE USA moment?

In my personal opinion, I think the move back to USA will be great for WWE for many reasons. USA is in more homes than Spike TV, to the best of my knowledge, and is much more established. Our long time, previous relationship with the USA Network, now a part of the NBC family, was largely positive for many years and the network has made a commitment to actively and aggressively promote Monday Night RAW, which can only help everyone involved. The first night back on October 3 from Dallas will be a three-hour broadcast that will be loaded with star power and unpredictable, LIVE action.

Dave, I’m not sure I have one all-time favorite moment out of the thousands of things I have seen on RAW on the USA Network, but the evolution of the Austin-McMahon era has to rank right up there for a variety of reasons. That rivalry helped propel WWE to its greatest heights and nothing like it has been able to follow it since.

After listening to Marty Jannetty on Byte This! a few weeks back, I was just wondering what are the chances of the company re-hiring Jannetty to a contract. I’m aware of his release. It just seems such a shame that a genuine guy like that has fallen on some difficult times .

There is no doubt that Marty can still probably out wrestle a fair portion of our current competitors. However, it seems that Marty may have bigger issues to deal with at this point in time. Going back on the road, even with the reduced schedule the wrestlers now endure, might not be the best thing for Marty personally.

Name: Ed Farmer

What’s up? I was reading on the Internet the other day about Steve “Dr. Death” Williams making a surprise visit at one of the live events, Is this true? And, will we be seeing him on TV anytime soon?

The good Doctor made a surprise visit recently to see the “boys” in both Texarkana and in Monroe which are both close to Doc’s Shreveport home. Dr. Death is a walking miracle who, even though he had his voice box removed, has been declared cancer free through the grace of the good Lord and the prayers of a bunch of folks. Doc is back up to 260 pounds or so and looks absolutely amazing for what he has gone through. I was told that Doc even wrestled recently, which no one thought would ever happen again... except Doc. I have met some tough guys in my 30 plus years in the business, but none of them were tougher than Steve Williams. We are great friends and he’s a part of my family. For those keeping score at home and perhaps still wondering about Doc’s involvement with Turner’s WCW and the “Oklahoma” character and how that affected our friendship, let me say this – the concept was ill conceived and weaker than cat urine, but I knew that Doc was simply earning his pay and doing as he was instructed to do. Business is business no matter how hard a pill it is to swallow sometimes. There are no plans at this time for Doc to appear on WWE TV.

- As was reported earlier this week, WWE is in talks with a "major celebrity" for an appearance at WrestleMania 22. While only a select few within the company know the celebrity's identity, sources insist that he would create a "mainstream bonanza" and offer great crossover appeal.

Right now, the impression is that this celebrity would be involved in some sort of match. Details are obviously unknown, but the belief is that it would be far more than a simple promo or musical performance.
