[PC] The Indie Gala Thread

Not a great looking set of game...also if Squishy is suicidal why is he trying to survive by reaching the end of levels....just saying. only project APT gets my attention.....pass!

Project APT is the only repeat for me.  The other games are platformer-heavy.  I'd call this one quite tempting.

Anyone considering a group buy?

Possibly. Card values on Squishy are not too bad. It's a bit expensive of a bundle just for the +1s, though...I'd never touch any of these.

Squishy the Suicidal Pig will be bundled a million times, same dev/pub as Hero Siege, and I'm sure Depth Hunter 2 will be in a better bundle.. this is a +2 for me since the others will get bundled again in another bundle that I'll probably end up buying.

All of these were new for me. I guess it sometimes pays to not buy every minor bundle that's offered.
The repeats were mostly in old bundles which I'm guessing is why you don't have them.

Ancients of Ooga was in the IR Ninja Lightning pack (2012), and Depth Hunter was in 3 bundles, but only 1 gave a Steam key (Groupees Build a Bundle 2, Indie Face Kick, Greenlight Bundle 3).

Project APT was in a couple more recent bundles (Groupees Bundle Yourself and a LazyGuyStudio bundle)

I have Ancients of Ooga, a DRM-free copy of Depth Hunter, and Project APT. The bundle looks decent to add to my steam count, but the actual quality looks like shit. I might be interested in a group buy though, if anyone hosts one.

Well emailed Gilby about this, but if anyone wants to host a Group buy, eh, I'm in. Otherwise I'll just buy it at $2 before the 'special price' runs out.

It was in more than that. It was also in Indie Royale World Water Day Bundle and Daily Indie Game Super Bundle 3 and also a Daily 99 cent or more deal on Daily Indie Game prior to that.

Don't rely on igbwiki pages to be the be all end all as far as what games have been in what bundles because that site ceased to be a comprehensive resource some time back. Probably due to the whole splitting the site issues but I imagine the rapid ramping up of more and more bundles didn't help either.

Anyway, Biart wouldn't give any of those keys either. Obviously he found that Steam isn't the golden ticket it once was and so for all his holding out on giving those keys, switching the Greenlight page to Depth Hunter 2 after it got greenlit and all that other BS, he still ends up having to practically give the game away anyway because it's not selling.

Moral of the story is it's not much worth raising hell over developers welching on keys other than for the principle because they'll just end up having to bundle soon after release anyway because they're games aren't selling.

*ETA: If we're talking Depth Hunter 1 vs Depth Hunter 2, it gets really murky because the Greenlight entry was originally for Depth Hunter, which was later under the same ID changed to Depth Hunter Deep Dive and then post getting Greenlit changed to Depth Hunter 2: Deep Dive. The ones in Groupees, Facekick, Greenlight bundle, plus the ones I named above were all "Depth Hunter" and the igbwiki page for Depth Hunter even redirects to what is now Depth Hunter 2. He kind of pulled shenanigans and really should have given those keys but it's, ahem, water under the bridge. :p

that 1.70 is tonight only right. Tempted to join a group but would rather see what bundles are coming tomorrow and only need that god game.

Technically, it's for whenever I run out of bundles.

I still have a copy of Every Monday 32, last week's bundle. I also have one copy left of this week's bundle. Both are $1.70 if anyone is interested. I am open to Amazon Gift Cards as well as Paypal, but no TF2 keys. I'm not hip enough for those.

I would like that Blade but you blocked me for some reason...

I've bought bundles since the first Humble. I've just mostly avoided gross Indie Royale stuff and any of the small bundles like Face Kick/LazyGuy. Groupees is one I usually cherry-pick since I mostly want games (not drawings and "music"), unless it's just too cheap to pass.

I started paying more attention to bundles a few years ago when it was obvious that Steam holiday sales were never going to get any better, but I still just stick to the main bundle sites and try to avoid as many repeats as possible. I don't like being bothered with selling my extras and mainly just end up giving them away, so it doesn't pay for me to dive to deeply down the obscure bundle rabbit hole.

So now that I been freed from my oppressors:

1.  Depths of Fear hasn't had Happy Hour.

2.  Depths of Fear is the last bundle I'll be hosting.

3.  I have Kiss of Death bundles for $1.05

4. Will not be hosting anything else after Depths of Fear or keeping up with this thread so if anyone wants to start a new one, feel free!

Generally, anyone on my ignore list is someone I don't want to sell to. Either I get sick of your posts in the Steam trade cesspool, or, more often than not, we've had a transaction in the past where payment was made that cost me more money than it should have. I sell bundles at the exact price, rounded up to the nearest cent. I might be lucky to make 3 cents towards the debit of my own bundle purchase every time I host. I used to give refunds and tell the buyer to do it properly if s/he was too stupid to mark the payment as a gift or accept the fees themselves, but nowadays I just ignore them completely and avoid the hassle. The price is low already; it's kind of douchy to make me pay more for helping you get it for less.

But I enjoy hosting and will still do it for regulars who want their bundles cheap and know what to do. Borderlands has been charging 9-10 cents more for his recent bundles, or so I've noticed. There has to be someone willing to keep it competitive without Fox and Bobby.

how do you mark a payment a gift?

I though family had no fees now you got to mark it as a gift as well?

Did Fox get temp-banned or something? I really haven't been paying too close attention to the shenanigans and goings on over here on CAG of late.

EDIT: Nevermind. I don't even really care. He's posting now, so what does it even matter if he was banned for a while?

You care! And he was silenced because he loves women too much.

First Templar, you always hide in a bundle with a bunch of repeats and here you are again ... but come Happy Hour you will be mine this time.

This is the first Indie Gala bundle where I own all of them! I guess buying every crap bundle for the last few months has paid off. I feel complete.

Id like to know as well
The Depth Hunter guy who didn't give keys after it was Greenlit and changed the name of his game to Depth Hunter 2.

Also, whoever got fox silenced is a giant pussy. Or has a giant pussy. They should take their srs internet foruming butthurt over to a Christian feminist website and pretend everything is always rainbow princess fluff and strawberries while the rest of us practical people post submissive pictures of naked women (or men) we found on 4chan.

...I'd post the last picture I downloaded from 4chan here, but I'm pretty sure that would get me banned.

I want that Monday bundle, but don't want to give that douchebag even a single cent.
There are lots of douchebags here, including me, can you please be more specific?
Id like to know as well

Where's slidecage? I want to buy Forsaken Uprising and Pulstar off of him for 10 pennies each....

Their mobile site is such crap. The price was $2.49 then dropped to $1.99 after refreshing. It was even showing the Halloween bundle tab before this was live.

That's a nice little bundle despite a few repeats. Murder Miners, Pulstar, Egyptian Prophecy and Forsaken Uprising look well worth the $2

EDIT: Playing Pulstar right now. It's a great looking and fun little twin stick survival shooter. Everyone should play it instead of idling.

I guess you missed when Dungeons was free
Yup I miss good giveaways and usually only get terrible ones like Woodle Tree.

Also I don't believe in vote for me to get greenlit and get keys type deals. I still remember getting harassed in a way by one developer for their one button puzzle game. They kept inviting me to join classes or something to make a game like that. That game went from possibly interesting to if I get a key unless it has cards i'm getting rid of it immediately. Wish I remembered the name.
