I bought some gifts for card farming a while back, and they have no security whatsoever - I was able to use the keys from some on my main account instead of my alts.Is it possible to claim gift pages on my Indie Gala profile? I'm logged into IG, but when I open a gift link it says "Log in / Sign up" at the top of the page. If I click that, it takes me to my IG profile, but it still doesn't show me logged in if I open the gift link again.
As far as I can tell, there's no security with gift links or ability to claim them so that they're only visible to the intended recipient.
It has. Detruire, Borderland, and myself should all have copies left.Has an August Bundle happy hour happened? I sure would like that.
I don't remember where Fox's was, but I saw it yesterday.I am. PM me if you're interested.![]()
Yes, exactly this. I have no idea why they think it is such a huge undertaking to display gift bundles on the account page that has a matching email. Maybe their system has to keep the bundle with the purchaser because of their stupid store credit or something. They need to hire new programmers. The stupid thing is that IG knows which email each bundle is sent to, and they know which email is linked to which account. Common sense would be to link each gift to the account that the email is linked to, but no... they don't want to add that feature for some reason.
You'd think it would be as simple as adding a new section "Your Gift Bundles" and pulling the bundles with their database equivalent of:Yes, exactly this. Sho' nuff.I don't expect one from humble since their flash sale ends tomorrow. Gala probably will since I didn't think they were 'murican.

Yeah, it's a "classic":Gold Rush looks old as dirt. Like 2old4GOG old. And no cards either. Anyway it's KISS so it will probably be bundled again multiple times.
Gold Rush is a Sierra game from 1988. It never made it to GOG. I played and beat it back when it was new. It really is a very good game. I'm very tempted to buy this bundle.Gold Rush looks old as dirt. Like 2old4GOG old. And no cards either. Anyway it's KISS so it will probably be bundled again multiple times.
That's arguably the worst Monday Bundle to date, and it's at the highest price.Because you guys are a bunch of lazy bums:
Indie Gala Every Monday Bundle - $1.89 [customspoiler=Includes]
[/customspoiler]
- Victim of Xen
- Jet Gunner
- Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine
- Gold Rush Classic
- Spate
- Space Tank (Greenlight)
Thanks, this was the only game in the bundle I was interested in.Victim of Xen (has cards):
My brother now owns Spate. I thank you in his stead.
I ended up jumping right on it. Considering I had also just gone over to GOG and bought the Quest for Glory Collection.Gold Rush is a Sierra game from 1988. It never made it to GOG. I played and beat it back when it was new. It really is a very good game. I'm very tempted to buy this bundle.
(With Gold Rush showing up recently there's hope for Freddy Pharkas.)
I'd say it's one of the best Monday Bundles. Even so, it's too expensive. That's arguably the worst Monday Bundle to date, and it's at the highest price.
Oh boy. Victim of Xen didn't disappoint in either regard. I can only imagine that the title is a clever hint that they made it in VX, because otherwise there's nothing clever about the title at all. As soon as you complete your first quest, Xen comes in out of nowhere and turns Will (the protagonist) into a girl. Get it? Because you're the victim... of Xen.I kind of have this thing for bad games and RPGMaker stuff. I'll give it a shot in a bit and post back with some thoughts on it.
IndieGala?Anyone know when the final game in the August Heat bundle will unlock?
Could be in one minute, could be in a month. I'd expect it to be within the next week, but that's more of a guess than anything (I don't think there's any real pattern to IG unlocks.)Anyone know when the final game in the August Heat bundle will unlock?
Honestly, after reading about how the big black guy was an ex-slave and should be doing slave work on the ship for the third time, I just started fast forwarding through everything and telling her to continuously swab the deck to see if I'd die from exhaustion. Unfortunately, if there's a way to die in Heileen 3, that isn't it. Even more unfortunately, I still had to choose the occasional dialogue option, like putting a ton of pepper on someone's food or calling some other dude to do CPR on a guy rather than having Heileen sully her lips on a man.I'm kind of interested to hear GauRocks' novella on Heileen now. Might be more interesting than actually playing it.
stop endless talk to no onehhehe u neede dur nuts exsamimendI've yet to figure out why you put yourself through playing these games?
Now that you mention it, that $2 would probably be better spent at Taco Bell.Make a run for the border?
The funniest thing to me is that they didn't even bother making their own Steam cards for the game... they just used the default character portraits that come with RPG Maker VX Ace. What happens the next time an RPG Maker game with default character art gets Greenlit and wants cards?Victim of Xen stuff
A couple of reasons. Number one, sometimes in all the bundle fodder and crap you'll come across something that's actually fun. Cthulhu Saves the World and PixelJunk Shooter come to mind as two games that I really like and would never have known about without randomly playing things out of my backlog. And I know that my preferences don't always match the popular opinion, so I really prefer to play everything for myself and judge it on my own terms.I've yet to figure out why you put yourself through playing these games?
Nah. I'll actually have enjoyed play Gold Rush five minutes after I've finished doing so, and consider it a wise idea. Now that you mention it, that $2 would probably be better spent at Taco Bell.
Taco Bell? I'm pretty sure 5-10 minutes later I'd be dashing to the toilet and cursing whatever sick, sick human being invented that red sauce. It's only slightly less volatile in terms of ass-explosivity than Haribo Sugar Free Gummy Bears.
As an actual Mexican, I like their taco sauces just fine. Whatever the hell is in their "meat" product though, yeesh. No es bueno ay ay ay.Taco Bell? Fair points. I've definitely played through a lot of bad games largely with the intent of being able to systematically tear them apart in a review, and it does help a bit to highlight what makes good games well, good. I'm also likely going to finish Millennium, another absolutely dreadful RPG maker game, so I guess I'm in the same boat for most of this.A couple of reasons. Number one, sometimes in all the bundle fodder and crap you'll come across something that's actually fun. Cthulhu Saves the World and PixelJunk Shooter come to mind as two games that I really like and would never have known about without randomly playing things out of my backlog. And I know that my preferences don't always match the popular opinion, so I really prefer to play everything for myself and judge it on my own terms.
Number two, playing bad games makes you appreciate the good ones more. It's nice to be able to look at a game and actually see where the effort went into it, rather than just having a vague feeling of enjoyment. You don't really grow to appreciate all the little touches in game design until you see a game without that love and attention put in. That's why Deadly Premonition is so interesting to people. Sure, it has flaws, but you can also feel the time that went into making the world worth exploring. If you look, you find secrets and little details that are worth noticing. For every big thing done wrong, there are two or three little things done right - just enough to make you wonder if perhaps the mistake was on purpose. But most people have a hard time putting that into words, and so they just think it's hilarious and can't explain why.
And number three, sometimes a game is bad in just the right ways and I decide to finish it just so that I can say I've finished it. I'm proud to be able to say that I have finished Superman 64 and seen evidence that none of the developers ever beat the last level. I sat through all the endings of Bionic Hearts just to confirm that it never gets better than when you decide that running away to Mars is the most sensible choice. And I'm probably going to finish Victim of Xen, because I haven't seen any love put into any aspect of it and I refuse to believe that someone could finish their first RPG Maker game without actually caring about any part of the game.
Wait, there's fake Mexicans? As an actual Mexican...
Taco Bell surely isn't very Mexican, but god damn is it still delicious. As an actual Mexican, I like their taco sauces just fine. Whatever the hell is in their "meat" product though, yeesh. No es bueno ay ay ay.
You know how you're told "don't drink the water"? I tell people down here 'don't eat at Taco Bell.' Custer's Revenge or something.
