the 16 digit point codes must be entered by 12/30/09.... but if you add the points to wii, they are JUST points... so they can sit there forever.

I'm 25/25 right now, and all of that's turned into Rock Band DLC. Even if I don't get any more downloads, I'm happy with what I've got so far. And if I do get more...well, if they keep running out of Wii codes, I'll just stuck to the 360 DLC.

Looks like I ended up losing my last two entries. Looks like the honeymoon might be over for all of us... :cry:

Yeah, 8 wins and 9 losses. Gonna wait till later tonight and give it another shot.

just entered 2 right now and both were instant winners. Im now 36/36. Before it was given to win now im holdin my breath everytime i go to redeem them haha

Ouch I feel for the guys that are losing on the DLC attempts. I was afraid of this happening, so I got all my caps as soon as I could and entered them all in one night.

I think the system was just allowing way more than 5,000 people to win per day before and now it's fixed. With how many bottles of Pepsi are sold a day in the entire US, I didn't think it was simply a matter of not enough people redeeming the caps. It's possible that it's simply a case of more and more people learning about the promotion, but 5,000 is a mighty small number when you take the entire US into account.

That said, if I get any more caps I'll be entering them at the stroke of midnight to hopefully increase my chances.

Yup I took a big hit today. 7/19 on wins 0/3 on bundled. I was 173/173 and 0/1 before today. Lucky, today most of the caps came from co-worker so can't be to sad about.
 
I enter 2 codes, lost both times. Entered a third, won, couldn't redeem for Wii, so I took a Green Day song for Xbox. Entered a fourth, won, took the only Green Day I was missing. I wanted to make sure I got those Green Days for Xbox incase the promotion goes really bad.
 
If the contest has indeed been "fixed" recently, as some suspect, then there's probably not much benefit to playing early in the day anyway. I would imagine it's more random and spread out over each 24-hour period.

It's definitely not about being the first 5,000 players each day, otherwise it would be impossible to win once you've lost once for the day (and this has happened numerous times already).

yeah, my thoughts exactly, it's now upto 5000 wins, but not consectively.

So it may still benefit a little doing it earlier, that way one doesn't burn through all losers if 5000 is up. (honestly they should say the 5000th win has been claimed and close it).
 
Lost for the first time today, I guess they changed the algorithm so that it wasn't as easy to win. It seemed odd that everyone here was winning nearly 100% of the time.
 
something really funny is going on. I was about 50/50 before today and recently had bought 105 pepsi caps off ebay for $50 and just started redeeming them today. First 5 lost. Then won 10+ in a row. Then lost some, then won 10+ in a row again. Something is not random about this at all. Also I'm pretty sure my account history has "Try Again" many times where I won. I was going to redeem all my wins for Wii points so I could more clearly see if it wasn't giving me all my wins in my history..but no wii tokens available. What crap.

I guess I'll try to find Xbox 360 songs to redeem my current 30 or so wins so I can see for sure what is happening.
 
I lost more today than I ever have before and as the poster above said in some spots where the screen said I won my account shows that Try again message. It was good while it lasted though, I at least hope they get more wii point codes and leave it as wii points not dlc.
 
Even if you're losing some, if you're getting these caps from other people it's still a good chance of getting something. Sure we won't all own the complete VC catalog but hey, most of us got what we really wanted. I just have a few things to mop up so 6 caps a day ( at least) has good enough odds to net me the last efw things I want. If I can stock up on wii points for future items then that will rock as well.

For the record I got antsy and lost a cap a hour or so ago. Will try my other 5 before work I guess.
 
i called pepsi earlier today about having the system saying i won then when i go to get the song it says try again...they told me they are aware of the issue and were going to call me tomorrow...so when i wake up at some point tomorrow i should be getting a phone call in reguards to this issue...but for right now i would advise not to play any caps as thats what they have told me
 
Yeah I just got done testing this out, sigh. I used up all my current winning codes to be sure I this wasn't just in my head. I lost one or two after that. Then I won 20 in a row. However 8 of them it said I won it shows as "Try Again". I'm gonna not use the 22 I have left and call them tomorrow to hopefully get back these points. I've probably lost 20+ that it told me I won.

Oh snap, taking the authoritative action, it'd be cool if you actually got the points that you won. Tell us what happens! Hopefully you don't somehow ruin it for all of us, just because of a glitch that, if fixed, means a lesser chance of winning.
 
I've only lost once but won 3 so far. If anyone has any they don't want (or would even consider selling) then pm me. good luck to everyone and this is a good deal.
 
Just decided to try my last cap after losing once yesterday, and I won. I made sure that it says I won in my Account History, too.

Since I'm getting caps for free, have a ton of points already, I'm fine for losing...

But it sucks for those that purchased caps now.... or stocking up on pepsi.

Hit my first loss last night, and it hurts. So, I figured there must be some truth to the 5000 wins reached theory. Played 3 more this morning, and all three were winners-- no issue with "try again" listed in my account. 27/28 with 7 codes to play.
 
Lost on 2 last night and when I just got up this morning I tried 4 more times and lost on those too. So I am now 53/59 with 19 points sitting in my account.....yet now im scared to try them out.
 
I havn't used a code in a few days- and I havn;t lost either. I am afraid though...

It sounds like most people are loosing, and not winning.
