Pepsi's "Drink up, Rock out" promotion - Win DLC and Games! STARTS JUNE 2ND!

Have any new songs been added to the list? I still have 4 free songs to pick, but I'd be willing to wait a bit if they add new songs periodically.

yea, they add songs usually 2 weeks after they come out. I noticed they added the Green Day Pack, same with the Evanesence one. I think they add everything after 2 weeks

they added the green day within a couple days of it being released.

Has anyone tried sending the postage to recieve a free code? I sent a self adressed one a little over 2 weeks ago and still havent gotten it back.
I was 11/11 this morning at my special time...

Got 9 or so caps today at work.. problem is, I own the rb2 songs i want. i just want wii points so its a waiting game now...
I'm new to this promo. From the website it looks like you get a code for a specific song. Do you actually get Wii points instead? Or is there a way to get Wii points instead?

So far I am 1 for 2. The Wii codes still aren't available. I'm wondering if when they do come back, if they will have found a way to make it so that you have to redeem them for a song?

I'm new, too, and curious about the Wii points thing as well. Also, I have Coke caps to trade for Pepsi caps. I had a winner this morning around 3 am est so I'm now 5/6.

If Pepsi does that, they will lose a lot of business. A bunch of my friends drink the 20 ounce due to this promotion, and that can change if they eliminate the 200 Wii Points. It gets subsidized anyway, so they don't take a loss, MTV is most likely hurting from this.

I don't think pepsi will lose alot. it's not the occasional drinkers that make the money it's the lifelong ones, like cigarrettes... your friends drinking is just a drop in a ocean for Pepsi.

They are getting more revenue from MTV/Rockband than they are in sales.

The wii points was a silly way to do that, but the Wii doesn't have a direct code redeem for DLC games. They have codes for games, like World of Goo but not for DLC.

Sad to say, but I just found myself "dumpster diving", though only in the bottle/can recycling bins. :) Hopefully this isn't the starter drug. Maybe not seeing how my recycle-bin-diving didn't turn up any caps so far, but these bottles have only just started showing up in our vending machines at work. Maybe it will get better/worse. ;^)

I hope they return again as Wii points, but I want that for buying songs, just not ones on the Pepsi Rockband list. For example, my kids really want the other two Spongebob songs (they have "Best Day Ever" already) and one 200 point code will net us both since they are only 100 points each! I want the Lucinda Williams track that's available, and that's not on the Pepsi list. I don't understand why they are limiting it to certain songs anyway. Maybe there is some revenue coming from the artists/labels somehow?

The Police - Can't Stand Losing You
The Police - Message In A Bottle
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Date with the Night
Zombies - She's Not There

I noticed thatthese songs are no longer in the catalog. I wonder if this means more new songs?

I still see them on the song list. Did you win a track and not see them there?

They removed songs?!

I've been getting all 60 caps from recycle bins... can't stand pepsi. so all free to me, even with the losses, since I've already claimed about 10,000 points it's ok by me.

as for the codes... and the songs, I have no idea... only thing I could think of is the licensing of all of it. some are available because they allowed it that way.

As for the wii, you could use any of the points to get any of the songs... it's a loophole that they should have fixed, so I don't know if they will bring back points.

I'm not dumpster diving till tomorrow anyways... but I'm not to concerned till the codes are back.

I have some Rock Band Codes That are already winners that I don't want anymore. If anyone has any Xbox Live Arcade games or other DLC I'd be more than happy to trade.

Lost two in a row last night, but just entered one and won.

I wonder if it matters if you enter a code and then play compared to adding codes in a bunch, waiting, and then playing.

Anyway, now 11/13 with a ton of unused caps

I say rumors of the demise of the win percent are exaggerated. No doubt it's quite as good as before, but I just entered 2 more codes and won both times. I'm now at 3 out of 4. Better still, my recycle-bin-diving finally paid off - both caps were scavanged. :)

EDIT: and no, Wii points aren't back yet. I just tried it.

I doubt that the Wii points thing will end because thats on Nintendos end the way there codes work and I dont think they care about it when they're making money off it. But clearly pepsi is overwhelmed with the requests for wii songs/points, I wish they'd hurry up and come back though its been awhile.

How can you comment on the win percentages you've barely entered any caps. Ive enter over 200 and at first Id say up till 130 every one was a winner, now its more like 1 win( that may show as a loss on my account anyway) for every 5-7 losses. With a few multi win streaks in between.

Yeah, probably right, but it will be interesting to see if my win streak continues. I certainly hope so! In any case, I'm pretty happy with 600 free Nintendo Points (hopefully) and having only bought 2 bottles. I am going to use them for (Wii) songs, not that it matters. I will prefer that they keep it as generic points, though, so I can pick from all songs available not just the Pepsi ones.

The bad news is that the vending machine in our building is now filled with generic cap pepsi products. We only had the RB ones for one day. :( Hopefully the vending machine guy is just holding onto the RB ones until the current set sell out....

Not at all. Read the last several pages. Just entering a few caps isn't really a good gauge of your odds. I think if you enter a few more caps you'll have the same thing happen that everyone else did.

Now, for more of the throwing out Random Speculation With No Facts To Back It Up: I'm now about 2/10 for my previous attempts. I have noticed the two I did win with were entered earlier in the day (9 am EST or earlier). Anything after lunchtime has bombed out. I'll need a few more days of trying this out before I'm convinced it's a significant factor though.

I'm only playing once a day now or less. I generally don't mind Pepsi or Diet Pepsi or Cherry Diet Pepsi or whatever but I'm getting tired of it.

Well, after getting 60 Songs off the promotion, and nothing else on the horizon that I would want, I decided that I would try for the Rock Band 2 bundle. Tried once yesterday and didn't win, then came into work today, tried once and I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It said that I would be receiving it in 8 to 10 weeks.

Congrats heartagram311. What console did you choose? Guess I will try the bundle now. Wish me luck.

Just lost 4 in a row! :wall:
And STILL no Wii tokens available.

People always say that my RB character looks freakishly similar to my actual self... I'd love to have the figure but I could never justify the price! Winning it in a contest however...

Congrats heartagram311. On Saturday I bought 27 pepsi caps off ebay for ten bucks. I think I lost maybe 3 or 4 times, I also tried the bundle a few times. I wish I knew about the wii points, I dont think I would have got as many songs for my 360 if I knew about them. I ended up with 21 songs. So is the winning chance really lower now? I kond of wanted to buy some more like that but if I am going to lose a lot I dont think I want to chance it. I won them right at the end of an hour and at the top of the hour.

I want to try to win other things- but when it was an auto-win, I couldn't justify throwing 200 Wii Points away for a 'chance' to win. Maybe now that its much harder to win, I will try the other things.

I put in 6 more codes and won 3 times. My current stats are 6 out of 10. Plus I got a nice walk out of the effort, and a map of where the recycle bins are in several buildings. :)

Maybe next I'll try for a 360 (system). But then I'll have to try for a 360 bundle too. And save all my current wins, which isn't hard seeing how I can't get Wii points for them yet!

I picked the 360 bundle. Works for me because I got the original RB bundle on Launch, and the Guitar broke and the drums broke. So getting a new bundle is REALLY awesome!

Good luck to all who try going for the bundle!

just lost trying to win the rock band 2 bundle.. what the hell happened to this contest how are they not gonna hook me up with some rb2 on my first try... i kid i kid....

i used a few caps over the promo for the xbox bundle too but no dice so far on anything other then songs

goodluck all

Just played the replacement code pepsi sent me for my win I wasnt credited with. Needless to say I lost on it. Im very pissed at the moment. I orginally won and should be credited with the win not another code that I may or may not win on....

I have 2000 Wii points on my console from back in September that will likely not be used for a long time. If anyone is really dying to get a certain Wii Shop game right away, I can gift it to you in trade for tracks that I want for the 360.

My rates are 3 DLC tracks = 400 Wii points. Yup. I'm being a bit greedy. But Wii points might not come back at all. ;)

I think I will chance the Wii Point's coming back. After-all, they ran out once and they came back.

Also, it becoming harder to win, would make the 3 tracks worth much more than 400 Wii points.

The rarer it is, the more valuable it becomes.
