Pepsi's "Drink up, Rock out" promotion - Win DLC and Games! STARTS JUNE 2ND!

Does anyone else ever have the problem where yo click the downloadable track game, the page stalls, then it loads again saying "No points available for instant win"? I've had this happen at least four times now, and its in essence just stealing my initial code...

This has happened to me around 3 a.m. eastern/a little bit after. It seems to me this is when it resets. One time I lost and the other 2 times it happened I actually had 2 redeem songs in my history. So click on "Your Account" and see if you actually won or lost.
 
It was posted at the Rock Band forums that we are having an official update sometime next week. I felt something like that would happen after seeing the Billy Idol tracks coming next week. Remember how at the start of the promotion 2 Billy Idol tracks got put up by mistake and then taken down?

Hopefully I won't have to waste too many caps for The Beatles bundle.

Hope its true... I have like 15 wins waiting to be redeemed... I caved in and bought the Rise Against Pack... Hopefully i wont have to buy the Blink/Weezer/Kings of Leon

Next week's new DLC is Billy Idol, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, and Jet. If any of that makes it up, I'll be thrilled. :D

The past month or so has been solid, but I've been holding off on it in hopes that they'd add the new tracks. It looks like I might be in luck.

To review, here's what's been released since the Green Day pack...

Judas Priest, Big Dipper & The Dead Weather
Kings of Leon, Rancid, Rise Against & Lush
Weezer, Blink-182, Kiss
Spinal Tap
Gorillaz plus random classic rock singles
Blind Melon, Blur, Dropkick Murphys, Eve 6, Kaiser Chiefs, & (more) Foo Fighters
Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Idol, Jet

Now, it'd be a little stupid to expect that we'd see all of that (and I can't really blame anyone who's still skeptical we'll see an update), but those releases would probably constitute whatever update they might include.

The only one I expect we'll see is Billy Idol, since that already (accidentally) showed up in the list early in the promotion. Other than that...who knows? :D

And, if anyone needs proof that an update should be in the cards...voila!
 
I decided not to take any chances and just redeemed all 93 of my remaining wins for Wii/DSi points. 18,600 points. :) Of course now I have to enter them on the Wii... good thing I've got a keyboard....

I have one point left to play for now. I think I'm going to call it good enough and just play ones I happen to get from actual purchases, and won't be doing that until I go back to work in a week+, as I haven't been waking up at 5 in the morning.

Care to share your keyboard? Still have 3600 Wii Points to enter but my Wii is maxed out on them right now. Went 192/233 in redeeming codes for DLC. Not a bad winning percentage.
 
I'll stock up on points because of walrus' proof, and after I get whatever new songs come out (cuz there has been some pretty good DLC lately and I would happily take any of it for free) I'll keep the rest towards trying to win the beetles bundle.
 
I was taking the trash out at work today and tossed the bag of cans and bottles into the dumpster and notices a few yellow caps. I thought to myself "Hmm, wonder if those are the Rock Band caps?" I pulled out the bag and sure enough they were.

Just entered them and went 5/5. Thank you coworker that drinks diet Pepsi. I'll have to figure out who it is.
 
will anyone trade un-used wins (I'm trying to get 360 codes) for Wii codes? Please let me know. I have a bunch I was going to use but decided against it. I would *really* appreciate if someone would swap. Please let me know, it would be a HUGE HUGE help, thank you!!

Edit: I have 20x Wii codes. Even if you guys could just agree to swap a few with song requests for 360 that I send you for my wii codes, I would be really thankful!

You can use pretty much any USB keyboard - just plug it in. However, I'm now using the Logitech wireless Wii Keyboard, which I like. I mainly like it because it's small (doesn't have a numeric keypad), but also it has some special keys useful on the Wii. Any wireless keyboard that uses a USB dongle should work too, though.
 
Says August 31st they are gonna give away Rock Band Beatles Bundles!!! 48 every week for PS3!!! I might enter in a few codes and see if I can win the bundle!
 
Currently 19/23 for this promotion.

All 4 of my losses were on 8/15, with me going 3/7 on that day.

No losses since. I still love this thing, despite me not playing Rock Band that much anymore...
 
I have 23,200 wii points I need to enter, and I have almost 500 pepsi points left to play! Maybe I can max out my Wii AND DS points. :)

no its 20,000 its a pain to enter a bunch of codes then have to stop and spend them before I could enter the rest. Though i doubt nintendo figured people would really expect them to stockpile over $200 worth of their points

I just started entering my codes today, unfortunately :roll: , but something weird happened.

I had 4 code entered,
3 Try Again
1 Redeem Song Token

I clicked redeem, looked around at the song list, decided not to redeem yet, and went back to My Account. Here, I found that my previous results had changed to,
1 Try Again
3 Redeem Song Token

... This happen to anyone else? I'm not complaining!:bouncy:

Also, I was going through the music store on RB2 last night and Last Resort by Papa Roach wasn't listed on there but it was listed on the Pepsi site. Anyone know whats up with this?

Someone posted a link (I forgot who, and what the link was), but it said that Pepsi should be updating the song selection sometime this week. They were going to do it last week, but there were some "technical issues". So hopefully, they are not lying..
 
I would love to see some DLC. Since I finally started getting some supply from people at work I have roughly 60 song redemptions to pic out. If they don't update soon, I'm just gonna max out my Wii points instead.

On the topic of Wii points, has anyone heard anymroe about a release date for La Mulana on WiiWare? It is a definite purchase for me.

Yes - to me. I immediately redeemed so it couldn't revert back.

That's odd. I know it's happened the other way around (wins showing up as losses), but this is the first I've heard of it happening the other way around. Unfortunately, all of my losses have remained just that.

No I've been reading the thread since the beginning... I was just commenting on the fact that hopefully this week we will get some new DLC. I already grabbed most of the other DLC and also posted a list of what was added the day it was added. Also throughout the thread you should see my comments scattered throughout. Please do a little more detective work before posting sometimes.
 
Well currently im sitting on four redeemable codes. I want to see if some new songs get updated. I already bit on the Rise Against pack and Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz. Hoping to see some of the others songs on here.

Stuff that disappears in the RB store can still be found through the general marketplace on Xbox.com, though.
 
I have an unused Coke Rewards cap if anyone wants to trade for an unused Rock Band cap...just PM if anyone uses coke rewards, never use em myself.
