I can't judge the full game just yet, but I can't imagine the main points (knowing who really did it, pointing out discrepencies (sp?), etc) will be much different.
It also kinda sucks because the stylus isn't required for the game. You can push A to advance menus, you can hit the R button for the Court Record, etc, but there's no actual need for the stylus, so there's really no reason this couldn't be released on the GBA. You can apparently use the microphone as well, but I haven't found the need to. Maybe later in the game.
Actually, I just noticed that I lied. When you have to present evidence to someone, you have to touch the evidence button. Other than that.. kinda lame, I wanted to yell "OBJECTION!" into the microphone. Maybe they'll make a sequel with double the amount of cases (5 isn't that much..) and where you actually have to go with a story and you won't know the truth to begin with.
EDIT: And the sophomoric humor is kinda annoying. The last name of the guy in the first trial is Butz, first name is Larry, so obviously there's a joke where someone gets his name wrong and says Harry Butz. Now the detective in the second case's name is Dick Gumshoe, then it makes a joke that Gumshoe is an odd name.
Oh well. It's still kinda fun.
This is actually a remake of the orginal, which is a GBA game. From what I heard it is the new case that really use the stylus. As for swqual, they are making the fourth game for DS. As for the names, in Japanese they are sort of a pun. In the US version they just made up new jokes.
