I would just get it from PSN if you don't mind digital, or new if it's going to be around that price elsewhere. The game only sold 3 million copies, which is respectable, but it's clear that the popularity of the franchise has waned while the development costs are higher than ever. Meanwhile, Persona 3 Reload is also going to be $70 while being much cheaper to develop, launch on Game Pass, and chip away at FF's dominant position in the genre.

It’s $40 physical at all the major retailers and if you order online and pickup in store at GameStop, $5 off

That's odd. I currently have Extra and it was showing me 25% off to renew a 1yr sub. Still comes out to more than what I would want to pay at this time.

Remote play in general is a wonderful experience if people have the right hardware for it. I played my entire new game plus of FF16 and about half of Spiderman 2 remotely on my G Cloud and it was honestly great. If I did not already have a good dedicated streaming solution, I would probably get the Portal.

People who look at it and say to just use your phone are missing the difference in quality performance. Sure, you could do that, but the larger screen that comes with a dedicated device and form factor goes a long way. I have also always been preferential towards handheld gaming, so being able to play RPGs from PlayStation and Xbox on the small screen but also have the option to put it on the big TV is honestly a dream come true.
 
Enough with The Last Of Us.

In the 10 years since TLOU first came out of the PS3, Naughty Dog has made Uncharted 4 and Lost Legagy and remade and re-remade TLOU games.

Make anyhting else.

 
I still need to replay half of Last of Us 2 for the platinum, if I ever do replay, I'll do it on the PS4 version so I can finally get that sweet sweet platinum.

It's very unnecessary, but $10 for an upgrade at least is very reasonable. I'm assuming the success of the HBO series is a big part of why this is happening.

I'm not sure I'll ever play it again, it's a tad too long and very depressing. If I do, though, I'd want to play the best version.

 
I started TLoU 2 a few months ago but it got pushed to the side. Also would rather have them focus on new games but for $10, I’ll be finishing it with the remastered version.
 
Druckmann's team is working on another PS5 game. Read there are multiple teams working on multiple projects at Naughty Dogs. There's also that delayed GaaS game too.

I bought TLOU2 digital for $10 in anticipation of this.  Learned my lesson after missing cheap Ghost of Tsushima and Lost Legacy upgrades.

This is why I never bothered replaying the game. Been waiting for a while now. I actually liked the game just didn’t like some parts which had pacing issues. 9/10 for me. Realistic and anyone can get killed at any time lol. Part 1 was a masterpiece tho
 
Can anyone help me with the ps plus 1 year deal? I’m trying to see if there’s any deal for it but it’s hard to find in the ps store so I just went to manage subscription. I got ps premium and it says next payment is $159.99 (renews 11/24/23). I’m thinking of going back to essential since I haven’t been taking advantage of the premium since there hasn’t even been a lack of games except for a month or so plus I’m pretty busy now.

some people in europe are showing a discount on the plus subs through the ps app or website but im not showing any on mine. I think US is SOL. ill be letting mine lapse then go to essential then wait till next black friday to upgrade since ill be a "new" upgrade maybe.

 
I’m sure the people who rip video game models to make porn are happy with all the remasters, at least.

Honestly can’t think of another market for 8th gen remasters right now.

I believe Naughty Dog is in fierce competition to see if they can remaster/release TLOU games more than Skyrim despite being a younger franchise.

 
Does only have a Portal and have any thoughts on it? I got mine from BB but haven't actually opened it... in theory, this thing would great at times but it's use is so limited outside of streaming the PS5 at home. No browser or Netflix/YouTube, can't detach the controller things as a spare controller. But at the same time, would be cool to play PS5 games at other places at my home... my bed, the balcony, etc. 

 
Just in case anybody else suffers through the same frustration: Disgaea 7 doesn't appear to automatically download/claim the DLC when you purchase the season pass. You have to go to each individual piece of DLC in the pass in the PS Store, and it'll look like it's trying to charge you for it.

That's the PS4 version's DLC. You have to click the item drop-down, select the OTHER item, and that will come up free. Then you can 'purchase' the DLC. Rinse, lather, repeat for the rest of the chapters.

Only PS4/5 game with a season pass that hasn't just automatically sorted its shit out without my intervention.
