At least in the case of DQ IX, slim to none. Seems like a price error more than anything else like someone said.
Yeah, and Amazon doesn't actually have it in stock. It's a fulfillment sale. Lame.

I've been slow to replace my copy of DQIX that was stolen from me by my ex. I can only assume her retarded family thought it was a kids game since it has cartoons on the front and they have the combined brain power of a jelly fish.

Any ways...snagged DQIX and Kirby. Went with in-store pickup. Too bad BB is closed tomorrow.
I picked up 1 was going to buy 3 and trade 2 in but decided I should leave some for others I did instore pick up think they will honor it ?
You pay for it online, when you go to the store is already payed. Why would they not honor it? Is not really their choice to decide.

I'm thinking that a whole day for some exec to stew over this does not bode well for it in the long run. Monday can't come soon enough.

btw, since when did Easter become such a major holiday that stores are closed? I was raised devout Catholic and don't remember it being so holy as to call for stores closing.
What are the chances of Amazon matching this? I don't know whether to pull the trigger or not at Best Buy.
I'm placing the online order for in-store pickup. They give you a while to pick it up, after which it just expires. You can also cancel the order manually if Amazon decides to pm.

:applause:

As someone who also only bought one copy, just to play, good on you.

Not that I mind flippers, but in something that's likely gonna sell out quickly, it's nice to see people like this.

I lied I bought one more so I can play tag mode with my gf : /
Flingsmash @ $25 is pretty good. The Wiimotes on their own are more than that.
I would like to get one, but I'm not sure if any games that I plan on purchasing will make use of it.
Damn wish I had a ds, nothing good on the ps3 side. Seems like a really good deal for DQ9.
You could always keep an eye on craigslist for one of those $40-50 DS lites ;)

Well that's awesome. I was going to get an iPad stylus that was on sale and may as well grab this too. Using the $10 promo code I got from that Portal 2 deal (because they couldn't give me a gift card) brought it down to $11.98 and with in store pick-up.

Awesome deal! I bought 2 with in store pick up. My brother and I can finally play coop without spending full price times 2 lol.

Too bad RZ certs aren't working. I did an order for instore pickup. I know you don't pay until you pick it up, is it possible to add a RZ cert at that point? Luckily I printed it out previously.
Either way, can't complain about DQIX for $7, thanks OP

You pay the instant you submit the order, not when you pick it up.

I also had the urge to buy an extra copy, to flip and make up the cost of both, plus more, but realizing that would be a douche move to do and possibly deny someone else a copy, I didn't. Thanks a lot OP!

Payment occurs when you complete the online order. No payment happens at the store so I don't think there's any way to add a certificate/coupon at pickup.

Ah cool, thanks guys, wasn't sure bc every time I do instore pickup they always take my card and swipe it through, but I guess thats just to finalize it all

So is this game full coop or is it just extra missions? If it is full coop can my sister and me play together right away, or is it like kingdom hearts 358 where one of the players has to beat it first in order to play coop?

Crazy deal, ordered two copies for store pickup. Keeping both of them, for $7 I don't mind having a sealed copy in my collection.

Thanks a ton, OP!

Wouldn't Fry's Electronics match this? If I am not mistaken, Fry's matches any online price as well. If it is a price mistake on Best Buy's part, it might be worth the trip to go in the morning to a Fry's to get it price matched before it gets correct.

Edit: Nevermind, Fry's is closed tomorrow as well.

thanks! Picked up 1 copy of DQIX for in-store pick up... Kirby is pretty dang tempting, too. Haven't touched the Wii in a long time and this seems like a good reason to play it!

It's full coop, but you need to play for a little bit before the option becomes available. Not long, about an hour.

Really good deal for DQ9 and Kirby. Got them both when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Very surprised to see Nintendo published games to be on sale for that price, and @ BB on top of that. I wish they've included Donkey Kong Country Returns as well.

Holy crap, who would've guessed that the Deal of the Year was going to be from fucking Best Buy?

Still, OP you rock.

How do you guys know your stores will be closed for Easter? I don't think mine are, and the website said "pick up on 4/24".

I don't gets this..can I order it online and do in-store pickup if the price is only good online? plus, how can it only be good online..wouldn't they match it at the CSR counter?

Never played a DQ game, but for $7, I'll definitely add one to the shelf :D
