and last, but not least, MGS 3 ($10, EB)
Here's the funny/sad story of MGS3. I go into EB's at like 8am, grab a copy of the game from a shelf, and wait in line. Now most of you know that EB doesn't keep sealed versions of games on their shelves. Rather, they keep empty boxes. I figured, well, if they still have the box out, they must have the game. Wait in line for 15 minutes, give the dude the box. He says, "I don't know if we have this, but we do have used copies for $25." And I said, "Ummmm...your ad says $10 NEW." He says, "Yeah, yeah, right." Then he proceeds to ask the other dude behind the counter about it. They decide they have some new ones stored some place. So he looks for a couple of minutes, can't find anything, and then grabs a USED COPY and slaps it in the case I gave him! I thought, well, maybe it's a new copy and pay the doofus and leave the store. I get outside, look, and it's not only used, but SCRATCHED TO ABSOLUTE HELL. I contemplated going back in and arguing, but looked at the line and said screw it. I then stopped by a different EB on the way home (closer to my house, but I was at the mall so that's why I bought the original there) and told them the story. The manager there, Mike, said, "That's crap!" and immediately gave me a NEW COPY, no questions asked.
For anyone on the southside of Indy, go to the EB at Southport and Emerson. It totally kicks the ass of every other game store in town. Those guys are GREAT and they care about their customers...even if they went to a different store!
