Nah they haven't even announced the games yet. Plus I need the dates to order airfare / get a hotel. Will probably take some time.

And Option, Bloody Roar 3 is pretty good. I would definately check it out if you're looking for something fun. I'm sure you could pick it up pretty cheap on eBay these days.
so I wonder if Battle Fanta will be a rare title down the road...
Possibly. Or it could be $20 in 6 months. I do know that I need to get it soon.

These are coming out soon. Pretty cool but freakin 30 bucks each!
I play SCIV on PS3. Not too often online though, just against friends.
This. My internet isn't too great for online play at the moment sadly...

Before I leave I'm still gonna do that BF contest on my site. So keep checkin.

I have like 4 copies and will probably get more. I gotta visit my buddy Aksys.

BF = Battle Fantasia

Have you tried GGPO? I just downloaded it this week and still can't believe how good the netcode is. There are some good Samsho2 and Super Turbo players there. I haven't played those games in 12 or so years. Players are just as good today as they were back then

makstaks; if you go have fun. The guy that will be showing you the game is real cool. That's pretty much the final version arcade release, you'll get to see all the 'goodies' before everyone else!

Did someone say FREE Battle Fantasia?! *bookmarks SDTek.....er, I mean IGN.com* I can't believe IGN is giving them away FOR FREE!!! Yes....I'm sure it's IGN
, and not SDTEKKEN.com.............HEHEHE! That free Battle Fantasia will be mine!:twisted::twisted:
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Whoa, the console version of TVC is out alongside the arcade version. That's weird. Still wish like hell it wasn't on the Wii, but whatever. I need to pick that shit up.
Weird ala MvC2 weird.

Aka, good times.
What's the release date?

Also, the chances of it coming to America...

Trying to decide to import or not

I know the chance of a domestic TvC release is practically nill (I assume all the licenses are spread out, ala the problem with Jump Superstars) but have there been any credible rumors of a PS3 or even 360 port? I'm still hoping against hope that the Wii exclusive status is temporary.

after plugging my PSX back in, I've come to realize that Last Blade really needs to hit XBLA. Its the only game I still own for that system and its a bit of a pain to hook up a console for one game. They could release Last Blade 2 for all I care but the first one is where its at

So Street Fighter IV on Friday and a behind the scenes tour of Cryptic Studios in Los Gatos. Finishing it off with tickets to Dodgers Giants so I can hopefully watch the Dodgers clinch the West. Friday is gonna be fucking sweet.

I'm gonna say forget TvC and focus on SFIV and BlazBlue. Oh, and Tekken 6.

SJSU's Bowling Center/Student Union is going to steal all your money. Just straight up rip it from your wallet.

I hope you have fun while you are out visiting the Bay!

Could someone help me out with this? I've been having trouble understanding how to pull off a "offensive move" in Virtua Fighter 5's Training Mode. I know it's Up and P+K+G, but I can't seem to nail Sarah's Sidestep Elbow. Is there something I'm not doing before I do Up and P+K+G?

Don't think so. I don't play much Sarah, but that's definitely how you do offensive moves in VF5. I usually tap up or down, then the P+K+G, during the little sidestep.

Markman is right.

You've got press Up or Down and then quickly bring the stick back to neutral. Then you press P+K+G. It has to be done really quickly. You'll hear a whooshing sound and you can press P or K to attack from the movement. There's no invulnerability period during the movement.

I played some Tekken DR last night before going to bed... man it breaks my heart that I haven't played it in a while. plus the wait for Tekken 6 is alot harder now :(

We should slug it out sometime. I haven't played laggy Tekken in ages. ;)
What's the difference between DR and just plain old Tekken 5?
2 Brand New characters + 1 returning character, new stages, modified old stages, new moves for each character, character tweaks and balances, more customization items

I see. I guess I'll try to get someone to gameshare DR one of these days instead of getting 5 from Goozex then.

To the naked eye... not much.

But to someone that follows the series... a whole lot.

Basically...

- Gameplay Balance (the biggest difference between 5.0 and T5DR)
- Game System
- Items/Customizations
- More characters
- More stages/music

Think VF4 and VF4 EVO.

Agreed. Maybe this upcoming weekend :p

as for the upgrade of 5 to DR, it feels like a huge update (which it is) if you know the inside out of the game, but will probably seem like a small bump up to those who barely play the series. DR is still my fave fighter for the past few years.
