Wow - some awesome news all around. I was sure that Tekken 6 would come to 360 as well... The day of the 3rd party exclusive is pretty much dead.
My partial thing I'm happy about is Hugo since it finally confirms a Final Fight character... plus, Hugo = Poison, and I'm a Poison fan >_
we were supposed to get a poison figure in the shop, but it got recalled because it had a dick. thos japs are crazy....true story
:joystick:

Awesome, DoA 2: Ultimate Online for the PC. That's not completely random and forgettable at all.

Tekken 6 360 = LBP is the only game I would want to own a PS3 for...and I can pass until PS3s are much cheaper.
Hmmm...anybody up for some Battle Fantasia?
If so, hit me up on XBL.
Dang missed you by 55 minutes! :)

As I told Jim I'm always down to play Battle Fantasia online.

Yeah, I missed you azn.
Also, great games Jim! There were some really, really great Marco/Urs matches.
I've gotten a lot better with Ashley, and if Watson had more HP, he'd be my main all the time. Now, his HP is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too low to use.
I don't really have mains yet because I'm not done all the story modes yet. 7 of 12.
Awesome game. If it didn't have an HP system, I'd give it an 8/10. With the HP system, its stuck at 7.5.

Yeah, I signed on and played with him. We had some GG's.

I just saw you were on when you were signing off but I have to head out :(

Busy tomorrow?

Whip is a cool character.

Been using her along with Kyo and Iori. I button mash wayyyy to much lol. Gotta find a good combo list.

 look at this PSN Home pic and notice the top of the screen:

Yup :( I have work from 3-midnight (PST)

Watson is fun to play. I don't have the patience though for his mouse traps---->rush down---->hit foo's with "C attack" sort of game play.

Watson is probably the most entertaining to play as. Too bad he has such awfully low HP.
Sorry azn, I didn't realize the time, so I had to go. Gotta sleep (its 11 here).l

If it is indeed XBLA that MVC2 is headed to, I hope it's on par with the Dreamcast version so I can sell that off.

Though I would be very surprised if Capcom actually negotiated a license to port the game if it's just a download... so who knows...

What was the problem with the Xbox version? Was it because it was almost a straight port of a Dreamcast game from several years earlier, or were there some game-breaking issues with it?

Ok just accessed partnernet cuz I didn't want to wait.

FLUKE.

It says Marvel vs Capcom 2 sure yea, but it has the Puzzle Fighter HD text (as mentioned).

But what it really is.... is Puzzle Fighter HD named wrong. Because you can't find Puzzle Fighter anywhere else. The icon is wrong too, it's HD Remix Ryu icon.

Who knows? It might come to Xbox Originals later or something, but this is just some odd fluke/practical joke or something.

More evidence needed (will contact Capcom tomm!)...

oooooooh shit! The gameworks in downtown Seattle just got a SFIV cab setup, and there's another one coming in soon!

Its like 12 minutes away from me, BADASS!
What was the problem with the Xbox version?
That's a good question. I've never played it cause everyone says to stay away and I listened. But what's the deal with MvC2 on X-Box? Is it frame/sprite issues?

Hitboxes and properties are off on the Xbox one. It makes a lot of the major assists not function like they should (NOW this is an issue while playing on the Xbox)... for the 360 via BC... man it's terrible.

Slowdown city.

Unplayable.

Sprites: Size of characters are all off compared to the DC version. What this essential means is that a majority of combos (or even infinites) that work in Arcade/DC versions do not apply to the Xbox version. This kind of change actually throws off timing to a ridiculous amount and combos that are usually used in high level play don't hit as often in the Xbox version. This also affects things like character hit boxes and properties for normals, specials and obviously combos/assists.

Frame-Rate: Obviously. Lots of slowdown (as well as being "herky-jerky"). Doesn't help a game that pretty much thrives on having a shit-ton of things/characters on the screen at the same time. MVC2 lives on timing and execution, so slowdown= poop.

"Acceptable Glitches"/New Game-breaking Glitches: "Acceptable" glitches like the Juggernaut Glitch (Power Up-->Tag Out--->Tag In Juggernaut) are taken out of the game, which most people don't mind unless you are a Juggernaut player (or have a Juggernaut focused team). On top of that the game actually introduces all sort of glitches. If I'm not mistaken in the Xbox version (for example) Ruby Heart actually had a glitch that could consistently freeze the game.

I know most people who don't play at a high-level in fighting games could really care less about stuff like this but in the end it does matter whether you notice it or not. I've only played the Arcade/DC versions of Marvel but one of my friends only has the PS2 version. I played that a couple years ago and I almost threw my 'cade stick in just pure frustration.
Now do you believe me when I said the Xbox 360 is the fighting game system of this generation?
it wont be unless they get their shit together and give me at least a decent controlller and a Guilty Gear calibur game (not that lameo XBO)
That's a good question. I've never played it cause everyone says to stay away and I listened. But what's the deal with MvC2 on X-Box? Is it frame/sprite issues?
if you play it on your 360 its has major slowdowns and sprite issues and other stuff

well, the words "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" are on partner.net at least. That seems like a good omen. And if marvel vs. capcom 2 comes out, then, naturally, one would assume they're stoking the fires for Marvel vs. Capcom.......

Hori Street Fighter IV Arcade Sticks Unveiled!

October 10, 2008

Hori had their brand spanking new Street Fighter IV arcade sticks on display recently during Tokyo Game Show! The sticks should be familiar to most as they are pretty much the same good old Hori sticks we have come to know and love, with an artistic SFIV flair. The PS3 arcade stick is essentially a Hori Real Arcade PRO 3 and the Xbox 360 arcade stick is a Fighting Stick EX2. Check our Arcade Stick section for more information on the new goods!

I'm going to try my hardest not to come off as a suck up while saying this. The sticks you and Mad Catz have in development look way better. The Hori sticks just feel dialed in.

Pretty much the Hori sticks, are just reskinned with SF IV art... ;/

I was hoping Hori would go all out with a special edition, but it works for them right?!

There hasn't been a new arcade stick style from Hori since the HRAP was first introduced in 2004 lol.

I'm a Hori fan, so I'll get one of each... but man. If that's all they got... I won't even slap em' with my gauntlet.

Those sticks are pretty! I just wish more 360 sticks had an 8-button setup. That way I could have a satisfactory fake UMK3 layout, as well as the standard Capcom layout.

Actually I should really look into taking my X-Arcade dual stick (the big two-player model) and seeing if I can get the guts replaced with some 360 parts. It seems like the company will never get the clearance to release an actual 360 adapter. I realize a bulky 2-player model like that is not ideal for competition, but I'm honestly more concerned with having an inviting-looking setup in my apartment. That thing always gets a reaction when people see it for the first time, and I hate having to tell them that it doesn't work on my 360 :( Theoretically I would sacrifice the use of my PS2/Dreamcast/original Xbox adapters, but those have tended to be buggy... and it would still work with PC, so there's that too.

Hmm, I know a guy who had his single player X-Arcade converted. This deserves some looking into!

Yeah, I'm with you there. And I already have a Hori stick for the 360 anyway. I'm ready to dish out some cash for a Markman stick. :D Someone start taking pre-orders!

I'm also not so hot for the Hori sticks. That being said, the PS3 version looks better.

Looking at those KOFXII and BlazBlue videos, I don't know which one looks better. They both look awesome and I hope I can find some deals so I can pick them up on Day 1. I didn't get Soul Calibur IV on Day 1 but I probably will Street Fighter IV and either KOF or Blaz.

Yeah, the Hori stick is cool but it's just another EX2, which I already have. I'm also waitin for the Mad Catz stick.

If anyone wants to play some Battle Fantasia later on, let me know. I have a day with nothing to do today, so I'm gonna finally set-up GGPO.

About those videos, did anyone else notice that KoF XII didn't have a combo counter? Probably because it's not finished yet, but I thought it was weird. On the other hand, BlazBlue's is almost to big IMO.

BB looks good, but it really needs to do something to differentiate itself from Guilty Gear, because it honestly looks like the same game. Similar characters, style and gameplay (from the looks of it).

Also, here is my new stick that I mentioned a page or two ago:

Green Happ-Modded Anniversary stick. Plays like a dream.

I'm kind of upset that KOFXII will only feature 20 characters. I understand the time limitations for handdrawing all of the sprites, but to "conclude the current saga" with such a small roster makes me a little sad. I want to revisit all my favorite SNK characters in hi-rez sprite glory. :p
I'd rather see the game come out before I'm too old to play fighting games though.
You're never too old to play fighting games. ;)
