They have Nitro complete up to '97 and most of '98 I believe. They have also added a few episodes from '99 recently, I am really hoping they start adding 2000 and 2001 Nitro, which were it's worst days, but I want to relive the glorious trainwreck!
Natural Born Thrillers! Who doesn't love some Above Average Mike Sanders. He's a solid C+, ya know.

When it came to potential, that group was seriously stacked. Following through on that potential though...

I always really liked that group. Well, except for Reno. Sean O'Haire (R.I.P.) was my favorite member.

Random Rumble note: Darren Young & Damien Sandow are teaming together on the pre-show. They'll be part of a 4-way tag team contest against the duos of Mark Henry & Jack Swagger, The Ascension, and The Dudley Boyz. The winning tandem gains entry into the Royal Rumble match. Seems like Henry/Swagger will be the obvious victors there.

Austin Aries made his NXT debut tonight during the tapings. Pretty cool.

By the end of the year, I fully expect NXT to debut their new 6-sided wrestling ring.

He got a decent reaction too. Despite the fact that according to WWE, their fans are idiots and don't know anyone that hasn't been big on their own shows.

Does anyone else think D-Bry will return tomorrow night? I personally hope they keep him out of the Rumble because every time he's in it and doesn't win, things go to shit for the winner. Have him show up on Raw or something. Do the fake retirement speech. People will eat that shit up.

Glad I discovered this thread, just thought to check the off-topic board.

Aries did get a good reaction once we realized what was happening. Hearing music you've never heard is always weird. I was surprised they didn't have the shirts at the merch booth. Roman did get soundly booed during a promo video.

I'm psyched for the Rumble tonight, I'm 3 rows behind the Spanish announcers so I hope to get a close visit during the Ambrose/Owens match. How many NXT people do we think will appear? I was hoping Corbin, then he got involved with Aries. Really want Sami.

I'm planning a GDYC sign, any suggestions for more?

I just realized the NFC championship game will go head to head with the Rumble. That sucks, but sucks a little less because of the ability to watch the Network on my iPad.

I find it very interesting how after Samoa Joe they're bringing in all of these established, popular talent and letting them keep their names. Even somewhat "smaller" names like Ciampa. Too bad for *insert countless guys from the past few years who are now top talent who had to change their names*

Wonder what changed?

The Rumble winner has been predictable the last several years. I think the odds of Triple H winning are higher than Roman coming out on top just because he's better in the role of chasing the title and it's painfully obvious they are setting up for a match with Roman and Triple H.
does everyone have so long to come out after the number is set

like number 5 then 2 mins later number 6 comes out.. if 5 is not in the ring before 6 they are DQ? Do they have a countdown after 30?

could see roman taking out the 28 other people and then they go number 30... if there is no timer for them roman could take out the rest of the people and think they won, Triple H will run out saying he was number 30 and toss him after everyone else is gone

Not a problem really. Watch the game. Then watch X Files. Then go and watch the Royal Rumble and fast forward through all the nonsense and just watch the actual Royal Rumble match itself. That way you dont have to sit through the under-card bored out of your mind.

Just no.

I was at the ROH show last night here in (north of) Atlanta.  Another great show, third one in 11 months.  During the opening match some idiot at ringside was berating a cameraman to move and called a valet a bitch.  Right after the match ended a couple of guys came down and threw the guy out.  It was very nice that they weren't going to allow that moron to ruin the show.  AJ came out to talk and the crowd went nuts.  He said his thank you and made heavy implications without actually revealing anything.  He was then interrupted by Lethal, then Strong then Bullet Club.  Anderson, Gallows and Young Bucks were all there but kept there distance from AJ (see NJPW's New Year Dash for the reason).  I was sitting ringside and later Silas Young decided to have a confrontation with me where we were jawing back and forth and ended with him holding the ropes open and challenging me to get in the ring.  If it hadn't been for that sudden flare up of back pain...overall, a very fun moment for me.  The main event was BC versus all ROH champions (Lethal, Strong and War Machine).  Once it broke down it was just a crazy brawl all over the place.  After the match, BC had their "Kliq at MSG" moment in the ring with AJ coming back out and all five of them embracing.  Overall, I had another great time and can't wait for ROH to come back again, hopefully before the end of the year.

It seems to go back and forth. CM Punk was allowed to keep his name, then they decided guys like KENTA and Prince Devitt should not, then they decided it's ok again. I'd gather they don't really see anyone as direct competition so it doesn't really matter one way or another. Hopefully they keep allowing people to keep their past names. I think it's better for everyone really, it's not like having Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle or Ric Flair on TNA hurt WWE at all.

Speaking of Kenta/Hideo Itami, it's been over 8 months since his shoulder surgery. He's due to be back anytime now...

You missed a fun Last Man Standing match.

I kind of hope Woods come out with a new instrument, like one of those giant drums in a marching band.

Edit - but that will work.

My wife walked out to the living room and said "Ah wrestling, always over serializing women with their skimpy outfits." I had to backup a few minutes to show her that some of the dudes wear a lot less than the women do.

If Roman is the one that eliminates him, or if it happens quickly, that crowd is going to turn quickly. Actually the way it sounds from the crowd, they are going to turn on whoever eliminates him at whatever point. I know it's wishful thinking but it'd be interesting if they let him make it to the final four or so.

So they'll protect him by leaving him outside the ring? Take him in the back on a stretcher so he can come back out later from an ambulance? Wow, that's original. Idiots.

"I must point out he has not been officially eliminated from this match." No shit Cole. The fans aren't stupid, whoever is yelling in your ear is a moron too.

Nah, they'll stretcher him out and he'll come back at the end.  The rain of boos will be deafening.

R Truth has found new life as Elmer Fudd.

In other news, NJPW just hosted a presser where Nakamura formally turned over the IWGP Intercontinental title and confirmed that he's leaving (to come to the US).

Kevin Owens eliminating AJ is actually awesome. I wish he got more heat for it because he's definitely someone that wants it and can take it.
That is about the only way they could eliminate Styles without too much of a backlash. Only other person would've been Samoa Joe probably.

Owens, Zayn, Styles, throw in some Balor and you got an amazing program....that'll be shoved in the midcard so people can learn to love Roman, like McMahon knows they should because he knows exactly what the audience wants.

So Reigns has to come back before 30 if Triple H is going to be the last one in. It only makes sense for him to show up if Reigns is out there when it happens.

What the fuck? Wow, that's just.....terrible.

The only way this works is Triple H eliminates Roman and Wyatt somehow survives and wins the title and gets a program with Lesnar. That's....the only way this works out for them in any way. Out of the people left I think it's the only thing that makes sense. If it ends with Sheamus, Roman or Triple H winning then it's just bad.

I'd be happy with anyone but Roman winning. I would have been fine with Roman winning if they didn't have him enter at number one and then disappear to the back for 30 minutes of the match.

Two (three?) Royal Rumbles in a row now WWE books Reigns into getting booed out of the building.

This can't be an accident. The booking of this is a fucking disaster aside from setting up Owens/Zayn and Wyatt/Lesnar.

This crowd doesn't give a fuck. And I don't blame them.
