Pro Wrestling discussion topic--WWE, AEW, ROH, Impact, New Japan, indies

It's all good man. I got no ill will towards you, damn sure arent even on my ignore radar lol. I just hate seeing anyone so worked up over shit so stupid like that is all. Hell, if you wanna make WWE more watchable, do what I do. Smoke a bowl. I had just gotten high before the triple threat at RR and holy shit...... I was convinced Bork was going to either come through ym friggin tv at me or thrown one of the other guys through the screen.

W.W.E.: Weed, Wrestling, ENTERTAINMENT. Belly Dat.
I would have to be NOT high in the first place in order to get high just to watch wrestling. I will totally admit I think I would have stopped watching a few years ago had I not gotten into vaping(watches neocisos head explode from mentioning vapes). Sometimes I even try(key word is try)to take a day or two off smoking to help my tolerance before watching RAW, was so much more fun when I actually had the ability to get REALLY stoned....stupid tolerances. Actually come to mention it I am putting a giant glass of hot coccoa with about a quarter stick cannabutter in myself right now before watching TNA :bouncy:

Someone please shoot me in the fucking head if I ever use any form of the word "vape" as a noun or a verb, or if I ever refer to it as a hobby.
I take it you have a pretty expensive set up then? You should post some pics, I bet you have some pretty top-notch coil building skills.

Back on topic though, I am really interested in the IC Title ladder match at Wrestlemania now. I really am glad to see WWE making what appears to be an effort towards making both the IC and U.S. titles mean more than they currently do by putting guys like Cena and Bryan into the picture. Hopefully we start to see these belts gain back some prestige.

Haha, oh man only Vince Russo could do this. Apparently he is leaving the website that he created himself (Pyroandballyhoo.com) and asking people not to go there if they're looking anything related to him.

TO ALL VISITORS OF PYROANDBALLYHOO.COM,

As of today I am no longer associated with the website, or brand, pyroandballyhoo.com in any way, shape, or form. I will not be posting anything---blogs, videos, podcasts, from this point going forward. I am no way any longer associated with the site.

Please know, that if you renew your monthly membership, you will not be getting any content from Vince Russo from this day going forward. I also ask you to not buy any Vince Russo merchandise, as I no longer have access to the orders.

I will keep you all updated of my future endeavors here on my Facebook page.

As always I have been and still am very thankful for all your support.

I'll keep you posted.

Peace,
Vince

Loved the Eat Sleep No Show Repeat sign behind Reigns during his beatdown of the heels. LOVED everything about the IC Title buildup. The IC Title is so much more fun as a parody title than as a joke title. The Mizdow-Miz Viagra spoof was what, 15 years past the point of that being fresh, but was still hilarious thanks to how it was presented. Loved Titus's guffaw after the ad played. Also loved the Bray-Taker promo. Mixed 6-person tag wasn't much. Steph burying Rock, Austin, Bret, and Cena while putting over Andre being her friend was bizarre. Axel becoming a huge star for at least a little while is good to see though - he's getting over huge in this role. Fun little squash for Cena here and it led to a fantastic Rusev promo with him responding to Yes chants with "YOUR OPINION DOESN'T MATTER YOU IGNORANT AMERICANS!"

The HHH-Booker thing dragged on and really didn't do much to make me want to see HHH-Sting. I did want to see Booker kick some ass though - so put him back in the IC Title mix. Loved the Stewart-Seth stuff - Jon's a natural. ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING Bryan-Harper match. Bryan took the nastiest snake eyes ever and a dragon suplex, but this was a super-fun 5 minute match. Great IC Title goofball stuff afterwards with Dolph adding himself to the mix. Fantastic bit backstage with Orton saying he saved Seth's job and he'll help him tonight, and then when Kane and Show were there, Jamie Noble bowed up to him. Fine video on Madusa. Heyman cut one of his best promos ever hyping up WM's main event stating that Brock will be there, and he'll be champion as long as he wants and go wherever he wants before and after WM. This was amazing and well worth going out of your way to see. This whole show was worth archiving just to have proof of WWE being able to have a great show on Monday nights. Seth-Reigns was their best match yet, but the finish hurt Roman. Actually, the whole match did, and they're basically doing a weird face turn with him, but the key is he should ALWAYS have plausible deniability. He had that earlier, but not here. Post-match, Roman hit Y a lot with a deadman dive and a chain of finishers.

RAW was actually decently entertaining despite the amount of long promos, pleasantly surprised. Would love to see more Jon Stewart, make that man the GM! Doubt WWE could afford him, but still, he'd make a great cowardly GM even if for just a short while.

Also, is Bryan in the IC title match? The close of the segment was so confusing I have no idea.

Missed most of the show but holy shit at that Heyman promo. Even as someone who is almost always good, that stood out and was almost convincing enough to make you think Brock could win at Mania.

Neat to hear the women's match got a reaction this week and AJ showing up got one of the bigger pops on the show. Can't see interest lasting since they won't capitalize on it, but for now...it's an improvement.

This isn't the first time someone has brought up what an asshole and how abusive Hugh Morrus is in the training center. I'm assuming Vince thinks it's funny and if they can't take it get the fuck out, so I have my doubts anything will come of this.

It's looking like Samoa Joe is about to sign a deal with WWE. I've always been a big fan of Joe and have always wanted to see him in a WWE ring. The fact that Triple H is a big fan as well gives me hope that they won't turn him into a joke.

If true, at least it will be fun to watch him in NXT where he can shine. Before he goes to the main roster and is turned into Roman Reigns butler.

I'm convinced that if Joe is signed he'll spend little if any time at NXT. Reigns needs help and Joe can fill that role.
Id bet he spends time in NXT. If Kevin Owens and Finn Balor are I dont see why Joe would skip it. On top of that what I have read is HHH is the one pushing for him to be signed, NXT is his baby, makes sense he would show up there for a few months at least.

“WWE took the accusations made two years ago by Austin Matelson very seriously, conducted a full investigation and was unable to validate the claims. Regardless, WWE continues to reinforce policies and procedures to ensure a positive training environment."

In other words, no one else wanted to back him up because they were afraid they'd be shown the door.

I feel like Joe will skip NXT for two reasons. One, he is already established on a national level due the exposure he received from TNA, which guys like Balor and Owens didn't have before NXT. Two, NXT is very crowded right now with top level talent and a proven talent like Joe wouldn't be much use for NXT and just take a spot away from someone who really needs the time in NXT. The main roster is also in need of good talent right as the roster doesn't currently have much depth and Joe can definitely help there as well. Triple H is a big fan of the Samoan Submission Machine, so I could see an NXT run, but they need to bring some guys up first if that is the case.

I couldn't imagine Joe debuting any earlier than April though as he stopping taking bookings past the middle of April.

But, none of that matters at all to WWE. The WWE is meant to appeal to a broad audience, not just wrestling smarks or whatever, but kids and families and the millions who don't watch wrestling outside of WWE. TNA notoriety or whatever is NOTHING compared to being on a WWE product, which is known through out. Plus I'm sure by the time Joe gets signed on, some of the bigger NXT names like Neville and Zayn will probably on their way to the main product if having too many wrestler's on a roster is considered a problem. That and he has to get a bit of an overhaul (or total) before being presented.

My gut also says that Joe spends time in NXT for conditioning. Chris Hero was kept in NXT for a long time and it was reported time and time again til his release that the WWE(often HHH specifically) was unhappy with his conditioning. I think that it matters not just in the sense of being a huge body builder type or anything, but I think that for some guys it likely just shows a basic respect/dedication for the industry. I bet that Joe goes to NXT until they feel that he is training as hard as a guy like Bray Wyatt is.

I like Joe regardless. He has always been a personal fav of mine and I would just be thrilled to see him get into the WWE either way. My gut just says that he is expected to put some time working out and training.

Joe will go to NXT until he drops 50lbs.

I don't like it, he doesn't need it, but WWE has their Tom of Finland-esque physique demands.

If Vince doesn't want to rub one out to a picture of you, you're not on the payroll.

 and (stupid emoticon is broken, the one where it looks like he's going to barf, which doesn't nearly have the impact it would if you could see it and I didn't have to describe it like this.)

With all this talk with Samoa Joe and WWE, I suppose it would be a good time to post this:

Well... Joe is 35. In my view, the only reason they'd sign Joe is to be part of a Samoan Stable for Roman's WWE WHC title run.

History tells me they will stick him in NXT for a while. I hope you are right though. I think the only thing that could save the WrestleMania main event for me, aside from Lesnar winning, would be if Samoa Joe showed up and helped Reigns win the title.

I understand that TNA isn't the WWE, but they are on a national platform and the style between TNA and WWE aren't all that different. What I am saying is Joe knows how to wrestle in front of cameras for TV. He's done it for years, the purpose of NXT is to get these guys ready for the WWE style and Joe is about 35 years old right now, he doesn't have a ton of time left in his career, putting him in NXT would be a waste of time.

Joe will go straight to the main roster - he'll either be the new Umaga or Joe-Kishi.

The talent-load in the WWE right now is sick.

Joe is definitely going to NXT if he signs. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of the many talented guys who came in and never made it out of NXT. He's worked in front of cameras, but not the WWE TV setup (which NXT prepares people for) and he doesn't work the "WWE style".

Finn Balor is turning 34 in a couple months, for one example, so I don't think his age will earn him a fast track to the main roster. I'd love to see Joe with Reigns, but the odds are that Joe will never even approach the level he was at in TNA up until they ruined him.

Yeah I agree there, Joe will likely be a mid-card guy in WWE. Joe is a lot more recognizable to fans than Balor or Owens though and that is a big reason as to why I think he will end up the main roster and not go to NXT. Either way I am excited to see Joe in the WWE system and hope that he does well and finishes out his career with some WWE titles under his belt.

Let's not kid ourselves about the likelihood of where Joe's gonna be on the card.

Let's focus on the real question: what name are they gonna give him?

Before you start kidding yourselves, think about how much they love to own their IPs, and think about how fucking WORKED they got by CM Punk (he can easily carry his ring name and ring music anywhere he goes). They're gonna put something on Joe they can trademark.

Say good bye to Samoa Joe.

I think they should go with Scott Steiner's name for him, Sloppy Joe.

Joey Reigns or Jack Reigns, Roman's older brother who has always been jealous of all the attention his less talented younger brother gets.

I am actually looking forward to a new name for Samoa Joe. Ive never liked that name. It always just reminded me of Sumo Jo from the old N64 WCW games. I think it was Tenryus name in one of those games.

Joseph Reigns would be good, or even call him by his real name whatever that is.

I don't know about his real name, Nuufolau Joel Senoa. I'm pretty sure he just goes by Joe though.
