You wanna be careful when you do stuff like that. Eventually Amazon will get pissy and block you from their services. They really hate it when people return items... if that happens too often, they send you a backhanded apology, then they limit or end your account. That's what I understand from reading Reddit posts on the subject, anyway.
Returns are another thing, I'm complaining about Amazon not fulfilling their end of their contract...
They guarantee 2 day shipping, and when it's 7 days... it's not my fault.
Last year I think I had on average 1 complaint a month.. December had 3.
I'm not abusing the system, I'm complaining about not getting what I paid for. If they want to give me a free month... thats their option. And the full refund items were pretty much all under $10.
When I order something for a family members birthday and it is scheduled to show up the day before their birthday... and actually shows up 5 days late... Sorry, but I'm not going to just say "ok... thats fine, it's my fault"
The family member was out here on vacation on her birthday, I had to spend $10 to SHIP the item to her after she left.
Most of the people getting their service canceled are people abusing the system, getting a refund or return cause a corner is bent etc.
Side note, as someone else mentioned Netflix etc.. I don't stream movies/tv/music with any service. That part of prime never appealed to me. When they upped it to $99 I almost canceled then. I kept it cause Amazon wasn't able to charge me Tax.. So I was buying pretty much everything on amazon I could. Now if there is a 3rd party vendor on amazon that don't charge me tax.. I buy from them instead
The only reason i'll keep Prime.. My parents do have me buy stuff on amazon also, I may "pass on the increase" to them.
