PSN has returned. What freebie games are you getting?
Interesting! I wonder what the * next to some of the games means.
As the article states, those games will be replaced with less violent fare in Germany.

Thanks, all I saw was the re-post and it wasn't entirely clear there.

I don't know why, but I had a feeling Wipeout HD would be one of the free game choices. It came to my mind that they would give it away.

To be honest those games are better than what I expected them to give us.
So....you can keep those games right? Or is it like PS+ games where you can't access them after the 30 day Plus membership is over?
They're separate from the PS+ offerings, which haven't been announced yet.

So I gameshare with my sister, I guess this means if we see something similar in the US, we'd be able to pick different games and get them all(minus LBP which we have already). That would be sweet.

The US offerings:

Disappointed that they didn't go for a different lineup for NA (maybe MAG or Warhawk to appeal to the shooter-hungry masses here).

So as a PSP and PS3 owner, do I get 4 games total or is it still 2 games but I get to choose from a different list? It might be time to trade in inFamous before I get $0.04 trade in for it :(
I'll be getting Infamous and Little Big planet.

How is dead nation?
best zombie game on psn and one of the best psn games too.

I have Dead Nation and still haven't played it. Maybe I will someday. I'll get lbp and wipeout from the free games. If I already didn't have Dead Nation I would be all over that.

Hopefully I can just get Fury since I already have WipeOut. So I'll get that, Dead Nation, Modnation and I guess LBP PSP.

These 5 games probably represent the largest crossover of all PSN users, and is therefore the smallest hit Sony will take on their wallets.

Playstation Blog

What will my fellow CAG bros be choosing?

For me it will have to be Wipeout HD because I don't own Fury. Already own the others. Modnation Racers and Killzone for PSP will be nice.

PS3 Users:

 • Dead Nation
 • inFAMOUS
 • LittleBigPlanet
 • Super Stardust HD
 • Wipeout HD + Fury
PSP Users:

 • LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
 • ModNation Racers
 • Pursuit Force
 • Killzone Liberation

Awesome, I have at least 10 accounts that I "own"; which means I'll be able to get all the complimentary games (if they allow that). :p Plus a few more free games through the extra 60 days of PS+, that'll be nice, thanks Sony.

Looks like i am grabbing Dead Nation and probably LBP although i beat it already
I am gonna see what Super Stardust is all about but Dead Nation is a solid "get it!" on my list
i guess I'll pick up LBP since i sold it when i bought lbp2

i have the rest of those games already.
are you me?

Yeah i was wondering about this... Say If we have more than 1 account, could we possibly get all 5 games?

BTW not a bad move by Sony either
LBP 2 may get sales if there are nonbelievers out there who have never played LBP before.
AND
InFamous 2 is around the corner.
Why not give inFamous 1 for free and see how many suckers valued consumers get inFamous 2

Yes you are more likely allowed to download all the games if you had other accounts.

I just realize I own both a PSP and PS3. Hopefully, Sony will let me have 4 free games (2 from each platform) from the PS3 store and transfer the PSP games to my PSP.

Also, maybe these games being offered for free can also be offered at a sale price. I mean, it would be nice to get the games that we didn't choose at a low price.

I made a dummy email account for my EU, so I can't reset my password...oh well, good thing they didn't offer much difference.

dead nation for sure, but undecided on the second game. already have played infamous and LBP, so i have to decide between wipeout and super stardust...

question for people who already have dead nation. to play co-op mode, do you invite friends on your psn friends list? or do you just play on one screen with two controllers?

I'm not sure if this is a deal, but Sony just announced details for their "Welcome Back" program for messing up PSN and our personal information. (I'm leaving this thread Wikified so that you guys can add anything that I may have missed).

I pasted the information below from the PSN blog.

I just got my 19th Platinum Trophy in Portal 2. It's my first Platinum Trophy since last August where I got one in Bionic Commando.
Man, I just bought Infamous.
me too, but i had heard it might be one of the freebies, i was banking on something else in the list i would want too (there, LBP and WOHD+fury)
Meh.
I second this, especially since ALL of the titles are most likely digital download only. Otherwise that page detailing the Welcome Back program for the US would've said to make sure your information on your PSN account is up to date, like it did for the Playstation Rewards program t-shirt that was a size too small for my liking.

Thanks again Sony for giving nothing of value for customers who have shitty connections and prefer to physically own the games they have.
In before someone can bitch about those games.
:bomb: Beat me by 5 minutes.

Damn, I got Infamous when it was $9.99 a few days back. Too late to cancel.

Also, keep in mind, a PS3 with multiple PSN accounts can access all games from other people, with no problem. The PSP unfortunately needs to be re-paired to a single account if you wanted to switch off games.

I'll probably go for inFamous and LBP for PS3 even though I've owned them in the past. I feel kinda bad for the fellow CAGer that traded for my copy of inFamous last week, but I'm glad I got rid of it before it was given away for free to millions of people. I wonder if my previous saves from the disc versions will work on the digital versions.

Probably get LBP & Mod Nation Racers for PSP.

I think everyone did. Sad that I'm gonna miss out on Quest for Booty now...
Kinda bummed I already own all the PS3 games, but ahhh well, at least they offered some really good games.
I agree. I already own three out of the five ps3 games. But yeah, at least they offered something.

Damn. Bought Dead Nation during that spring sale. The rest I've had for a while now. I don't use the PSP since I never bothered to upgrade from FW 1.50 and the games stopped working. And I've never seen a movie or used Home, so that's no good either.

It would be nice if there were some ok sales for the 30 day trial of PSN+, but I'm not subscribing and probably won't be able to keep anything. Somehow I knew this welcome back package would be useless, my hopes were not up...

yeah i have all those games, and will pick 2 PSP games, probably LBP and Modnation Racers (?) but I'm not too excited about those two..no sense in getting inFamous digital and wasting HDD space..

actually after hearing this I went to gamestop and traded in my copies of LBP and Infamous and a copy of Saints Row 2 (amazon rejected cause it was smudged) all for 47. 00 after the 10.00 bonus.

LBP - was like 8.00 ish
Infamous - was 12.00 ish
and Saints Row 2 was like 15.00 ish

figured I will enjoy a digital Infamous and LBP now more anyway. I actually started both game as a digital trial and went on to buy the pyhsical copies lol only to return to digital go figure.

had all the games on the list, and gamestop was giving more credit than Amazon, weird I know.
