I am now level 20, woooot.  Now i gotta get dat light gear and do dem heroic missions and raids and crucible matches now.

 
Oh and if anybody cares an exploit for the Vita was released. With it you can pretty easily play any PSP, PS1, and the normal PSP emulators (nes, snes, gba, genesis, etc..) The game is Gladiator Begins! and it's $7.99 on the store.

really tempted to do this on my extra vita. oled is probably perfect for the old games on emulators.

 
I just played through rtype dimensions. Holy balls is it hard. I dont have a clue how anyone could finished it without infinite lives. I would have had to be a millionaire to have enough quarters to finish it in the arcades. Jesus.

Hah. Yeah, that would never happen. I've never even heard of a ban related to hacking Vitas and it's been going on for a couple of years now. I wouldn't even do it if there weren't so many damn games not on PSN. I've been wanting to play the Star Ocean games for a long time now.

Having a PS4 would not solve the problem my PS3 has with syncing trophies.
 
So I'm loving Destiny, but man those strike playlists are fucking stupid. So much work for only 10 vanguard points. You could just do bounties that give you 100 each time and take a lot less time.

You didn't say why you recommended skipping them, so I mentioned that in case the reason was for graphics or something along those lines. The PC versions look a lot nicer. There may be mods for improving the gameplay as well, though I'm not sure on that.

I do want to play at least one GTA. Not sure which that will be, though.

Marks

YOU ARE LIMITED TO 100 MARKS A WEEK

And the best Vanguard gear needs 150 marks per item so...enjoy the grind people!

Marks cannot be obtained through patrols, unlike in the beta if memory serves.

Marks can ONLY be obtained via a few methods.

Once you hit lvl 18, you unlock the Strike Playlist. This shows up on the navigation menu in orbit, next to the Crucible option in the bottom right.

There are 4 playlists. One for lvl 18, 20, 22 and 24. All this is is a Fireteam of 3 like any other Strike, but you get put in to a random strike, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE STRIKE OR NOT (so if you have yet to explore Mars, you may get thrown in to a Mars strike).

The lvl 18 strike gives you no marks, 20 gives you 2, 22 gives you 3, and 24 gives you 6.

These give you pathetic amounts of rep as well, ranging from 10 to 20.

At lvl 20, you unlock the daily heroic story and weekly heroic strike. The daily heroic resets, yep, daily. The weekly heroic resets every Tuesday.

Each have modifiers such as enemies do extra melee damage or enemies deal but are more vulnerable to certain types of damage like Solar for example.

The Daily heroic story mission gives you rep and marks, usually 5. Sometimes you can get rare material rewards, used to upgrade your rarer gear.

The weekly heroic not only requires you to be in a fireteam before starting it, but it gives you 3 marks, +150 rep and +3 Strange Coins (used to buy gear from the black market vendor that ONLY appears between every Friday and Sunday, with a minimum of 7 coins needed for each item he sells - and his gear is sweeeeeeeeet for sure - note that coins can be obtained via blue engrams as well as getting gold in public events, but they're not guaranteed).

[Edit] I don't know when this kicks in, but I literally just traded in 50 spinmetal after grinding some crates today to the Vanguard Quartermaster, and got +250 glimmer, I think 100 Rep, AND 5 Vanguard marks.

When y'all were getting your Resistance Vita multiplayer match trophie, where did you find your match? Hanging out in small deathmatch and it's goddamn crickets. Any of you that still have it wanna help a brother out and go a quick round?
 
Crap. I need to knock out Ys: MoC so I can send it back to Gamefly and cancel my free trial.

Also need to knock out something in my physical backlog; in 3 days I'll have an opening in my eBay category selling limit to resell another game.

Now I just need to figure out which to play.  :wall:

I could help you out sometime this weekend if you still don't get it. I did mine in team deathmatch.

RPG claims it took 20 seconds, but he probably has five Vitas that he has loaded with fake accounts just to boost trophies with himself.

I got mine in the "all" group on a Saturday morning ~10am CST. A couple other people did the 4-player map, not sure what time.

I'd help you out but sold my copy right after platting a couple weeks back.

How'd you like it? I thought it was pretty damn solid. Not at the level of quality KZ:M showed, but I had absolutely no complaints in regards to it being a portable title versus what I'd expect from a console FPS. It didn't feel restricted at all by the platform.

Behold the power of the thread! Couple minutes after posting I got in a 4-player team deathmatch and the plat has been achieved.

It was pretty fun. That last level did seem to drag a bit too long for me though. I'm not the best at FPS, but I did decently enough. My big ass thumbs did sometimes accidentally trigger some weapons when I didn't want them too, but other than that they used te touchscreen prett well. Performance seemed great. Graphically was pretty good too, but obviously not as pretty as it's console cousins. Haven't played KZ:M so I can't compare it to that. I can say it's better than KZ1 though.

The best setting and a good music list. A little more refined than GTA3 with some added niceties like motorcycles, outfits, and property but without going overboard like San Andreas did with that damn hunger meter and gang missions.

A lot of memorable missions, as well.
