Goddammit. I seem to be stuck in MGS2. I'm at the point right before where I should fight Fortune. I've got Sensor B and am (from what I can tell) supposed to go to roof A and take the elevator down to the deep sea dock, but the elevator just isn't showing up.  :wall:

Edit: And of course for some reason one of the bombs I already took care of got re-activated somehow.  :wall:

I'm not sure if they could implement a more annoying way to have group messages function on the PS4.

Or if there's anything more annoying than the asses who send group messages.

Just curious, what was it about the game that you disliked so much?
You didn't say why you recommended skipping them, so I mentioned that in case the reason was for graphics or something along those lines. The PC versions look a lot nicer. There may be mods for improving the gameplay as well, though I'm not sure on that.

I do want to play at least one GTA. Not sure which that will be, though.
Vice city was the first one I played, so I have a soft spot for it. San Andreas was definitely the best of the 3 PS2 games overall though.

I understand why people bitched about the drinking mini game in Watch Dogs.  I am struggling getting to level 10 even now after the patch.  I can only imagine how it was before the patch.  Of course, I just realized I am doing the hardest location first, but the ones where you have to use both sticks at the same time just do not seem to go where you steer them at all even now. If it were all the QTE rounds, it would not be any issue at all.  With so many rounds for each level it is awfully easy to screw up somewhere along the way.

Watch some videos there is some good advice for it, I beat them before that patch and after watching the videos I was able to do them in just a couple tries

Still working through MGS2. It's literally got the worst story, dialogue, and characters of any game I've ever played. It's amazing.

I think that when Lady Gaga wrote the song Telephone she had MGS2 in mind. You can't walk across a room in MGS without three separate people calling you to tell you how to deal with two guards, then a bomb, and then just to chat about a first date.

I think I'm about over Braid. Some of these puzzles are just nonsensical. After spending so much time solving them, I'm not getting that satisfying feeling that I got on the first few worlds.

Since I'm always two or three weeks behind. I just started Velocity 2 last night. No way in hell I'm tearing my hell out to get a platinum on this one. I did manage to get one perfect so far. I like the twitch gameplay (although I'm sure it's likely to get frustrating pretty soon), but am more interested in seeing how the story plays out.

Some games tend to be pretty bad about that, yeah. If a game requires trial-and-error to solve puzzles then I just use guides. I don't play games for puzzles. I can't think of even one that was satisfying in that area.

tyler you didn't list Wolfenstein in your stupid poll. You had one fucking job. One fucking job.
Then click "other" asshole.

Doesn't look like it was that egregious of an oversight. Only 5 other votes, one was guardian who "Doesn't have a PS4 but still felt compelled to vote for whatever reason" and one was Munky voting for "Putty Squad"

At this point I'm not sure how much money is left to be made on Minecraft. It's already on every platform but Vita (due soon) and I can't imagine anybody that wants it doesn't already have it.
Was reading online how it's like Microsoft ingraining themselves with 8-13 year olds across the world. Apparently all kids love Minecraft and MS is trying to get their name in front of them now for when they because money-spending adults.

Yeah dude, MGS2 kind of really sucks. Turned me off of the series for a long while. I've got 3, PW, and 4 all on my shelves and no real desire to boot them up and get back into the series.

Helps reinforce what I was saying about Japanese game writers not knowing how to create a succinct and enjoyable story without it meandering at every opportunity.

Braid doesn't require trial-and-error.
I haven't played it yet--I was just commenting on games with that issue.

Yeah, I won't be playing the others any time soon. The bad characters and story would be okay if not for the gameplay being terribly bad as well. I'll do some research before I get to 3 to see if any of this is resolved. I might just watch the story movies to get to later games assuming that at some point the gameplay gets better.

Also the CAG search sucks bigtime. I tried searching for "gamespot", "Gamespot", and "calling" and none of them brought up my old post so I had to dig through my post history.
It seems to operate on a delay. When I search a thread it's usually days behind. If I go to my content then that's always up-to-date.

I changed my mind. I think infamous just barely edges out putty squad. It was a lot of fun and it didn't wear out its welcome. i also liked that there was a line of dialog that triggered when you got the plat.

It's been awhile so I can't remember every issue I had, but at the front of the list was terrible combat encounters, frustrating difficulty spikes, a ridiculously stupid story, and an overarching disinterest that seemed to seep out of every corner of the campaign. It felt lazy and uninspired, like the development team put all their time into the graphics and didn't bother making the actual game enjoyable to play. Surprisingly I found the multiplayer far more enjoyable, so I can probably assume I took issue with the enemy AI as well.

It was just a severely underwhelming, halfbacked shooter wrapped in an immensely pretty package.

I'm definitely trading in Destiny once I beat the story with my Warlock.  No interest in grinding for gear or building up two more classes.

I think for me, it just feels like a prettier version of Borderlands.  And that's a shame, since I couldnt get into Borderlands either.  They're both fun to play through once for the story but all the grinding for gear is such a turn-off.

Borderlands is so much nicer with loot tho, and so much more random. This game really only has maybe 3-5 variants of the same type of gun. and borderlands you could find rare guns at any level, I think this game you don't even try for purple/gold weapons/armor until after you hit the level cap ish of 20. If I had to wait til I was max level in borderlands to get a tight gun I wouldn't have played as long.

also i did a freebie quickie money shot just for tyler and he misses it! doh
