So now I don't know what to do...Buy Minecraft for the PS4 just in case Microsuck does something stupid and recalls or makes it exclusive or even Sony shuts it down not to give Microsoft any money...or not buy it because that would be money in Microsoft's pocket.

I have always wanted to give it a shot. I can easily live without it, but I also don't like never having the option. I would also not like to reward or support any company that does this sort of thing. Company acquisition and 3rd party exclusives or companies that acquire a company to make a previously multiplat game an exclusive piss me off. *Insert my typical rant about EA, Pandemic and Bioware here.*

Microsoft keeps digging a bigger and bigger hole too. They just dropped $400 million for the NFL to use their tablest and $2-2.5 Billion on this Minecraft thing. I know they have a lot of money, but with Apple and Sony kicking their ass, they are doing themselves no favors.

Telling someone not to play Vice City (and even San Andreas) is crazy talk. CRAZY talk. Sure, the gameplay is slightly archaic compared to modern ones, but both are still very playable and definitely enjoyable.

RE: vita exploit... I really want to do this to play some psp/ps1 games, but i know damn well i'm never going to get to them before the next firmware update and by then i'm going to want to DL stuff so will overwrite my firmware with official stuff anyway. and i already own zhp and gladiator begins because i have good taste.

re: the other vita package exploit (not sure if mentioned in this thread) -- i know i'm a geek because the only reason i want to do this (you can install no-drm 'packages' from other regions) is because i want the damn e-reader they have in japan. i want an ereader on my vita so much. why the heck can't i have one, sony?

 
So according to those farming videos for Destiny, you can exchange spinmetal to get Vanguard marks. I had no idea, I thought they were just used for weapon upgrading.

So Munky, when Tyler was making fun of us for collecting spinmetal, we were doing what we should have been all along! Jerk!

What a dummy Tyler is. When he rebuys the game in a few months he won't have any spinmetal.

I just turned on my DVR to watch tonight's Doctor Who and a college football game is on. Apparently Oklahoma's kicker is named Michael Hunnicutt.
 
I haven't watched any of the current Doctor Who season. I was planning to just watch on Amazon like I did last season. Last season they were charging $2.99 per episode in HD. The day after the premiere aired, I checked and they wanted $8.99 per episode. So I promptly said fuck that.

Edit: I just checked again. The premiere they want $5.99 for SD and $7.99 for HD. The following episodes are $1.99/$2.99 like they used to be. Why the fuck is the premiere so expensive?

The premiere is feature length and it also got a one day theatrical release and its own separate dvd/blu ray release, so that's probably why it's so high. But that's still dumb.

well, I officially beat Destiny tonight.  Will probably try to mop up a few trophies in the next few days but if it gets $44 at BB next week its gone.  7/10

I think you're supposed to keep it for upgrades though.

My copy of Destiny isn't going anywhere since I have the fancy steelbook although I guess I could trade in just the disc and then rebuy it when it gets cheap.
 
Okay so anyone here have experience with Redbox? I heard the clock starts at 9pm... so if I am going to rent a couple games should I do it after 9pm and that means that I have until 9pm the next day before I get charged again?

You do know you can download games to your PS3 and then transfer them to the Vita even if your Vita firmware is out of date, right? Granted you'll be locking yourself out of trophy syncs once you're out of date, but I don't know if you actually care about that.

easily ephemeral fantasia. I usually have a lot of patience for games, especially jrpgs but it was terrible. Every 5-10 minutes or so it would pause and show the in game clock. It was like someone pouring a drop of water on you at an interval time. At first it would be a little annoying then drive you insane at the end.
I don't think I played a bad game at all this generation. I actually really enjoyed aliens colonial Marines and the dlc even more. If I had to choose it would probably be jak collection. Its more terrible than I remember.

Braid.

Not really, but I don't think I've ever gone from liking a game so much to disliking it so much.

Without going back to retro systems, Jumper for 360 is probably the worst game I've played over the last couple generations. I got it as the freebie during a B2G1sale on clearance at TRU. It was so stupid. I never saw the movie, but I can only imagine it was just as bad as the game.

there was a promo a while back that radio shack was accepting any sort of junk electronic and games like truth or lies old sports games, floppy disc drives... Shit like that for 5$ each.

the first game that comes to mind for worst game I have ever played is Damnation. I feel like that is too recent though... I have been gaming Nes

Why Jak? I've only played 1 and it was pretty good. The camera was a bit dated, but that's the only problem I remember having with it. Still need to play 2+3 within the next few months before my EU PS+ expires and I lose access, actually.

MGS2.

I don't Redbox. I didn't even use it during the free Redbox game thing a few weeks back. Their selection just wasn't very varied--no short games that weren't part of a series I was behind on, basically.

That doesn't get you max time.

Whenever you rent something it is due 9pm the next day. So to max your time, rent something at 12 AM, then it is due 9am the following day.
 
Holy crap guys. If you go to mrninjasquirrel's stream, he has comments on his screen. Every time you type mrninjasquirrel, your comment shows up in a big red block. Easy way to make sure you get noticed! And Matt and I totally aren't abusing it at all.
