but it's the best part! the nostalgia levels are really good looking though.

still haven't broken 1.3m. doesn't look like anyone has managed 2m yet.
I really liked the nostalgia levels. I could have done with about twice as many honestly. They reminded me a lot of the death mode from sound shapes which I also loved

Also, recognize or something. This earned me my new 5th rarest trophy. 5th to get it and 4th on PSNP.

I find it somewhat odd that I'm having more trouble getting 2M in regular Arcade than the 1.5M I got in Dessert. It feels longer for some reason, despite it being the same 300-second time limit.

That was just cruel, every time I was close to being out of overheat, blue bogey would zip in and melee me to put me back into forced slowmo and then overheat, It happened 3 times in a row before I finally died. I just now figured out that they bumped up the HP of them as I was able to boost kick one of them and instead of losing 1/2 HP like in round two it only took off like 1/6 of their HP. I don't know why some of the guides say if you can beat round 4 you can beat round 5 as round 4 is much easier than 5 as the difficulty is all front-loaded at the start of the round 4.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I like the arcade mode of Pix enough to actually go for the trophies. I am having a hard time forcing myself to play that mode over and over

I just did probably my best Arcade run ever with 1.796M points. I have no idea how to get another 204k. :headache:

I wish there really was a way to have a contest to determine who is actually good at getting trophies. Right now we're doing a great job at determining who has the most time on their hands to speed run a game, but that's about it. I can't even offer suggestions, because I can't think of anything.

i just got a warning for derailing the threads on video game deal section, especially from amazon warehouse threads incident last week. i am being told if i get reported again. i will be facing a silence. lol i am going to lay low now. i wish i can find out who reported me
Probably just some scrub lurker. I'm glad we moved over to the OT though now that sheriff htz is in town. We can talk about whatever the fuck we want over here.

Gator would win a trophy contest though. There is no way to involve pure skill. Just enjoy what you play. Or you can play hard games that hardly anyone plats. I dont know which ones those are on Sony platforms though.

pix the cat reminds me of the 80s. back when we used to have arcades and games had onne button and the only point was to see how high of a score you could get.

kids today. everything old is new again

So far I wouldn't say the winner was the one with the most time on his hands. Dude works 40 hours a week, and can't play at all during work hours. He certainly has more gaming time than someone like me, but there are others here that I'm sure have more gaming time than him.

But you're right, ultimately whoever is willing to spend the most time playing the selected game each month will win, or come close to winning. I know we're trying to pick games that require skill, but the more time you have, the more time you can spend playing the game and getting better at it.

It's also not serious enough for me to have even spent this many words discussing it. I think the point is to have fun with a friendly competition. In the end the winner deserves props but who really cares if you win or lose if you had fun participating?

^^^^^^^^

I think it's just goofy fun. I'll never win, but I like playing the same thing as everyone else and seeing how fast we can do it (if at all). I literally have at most 2 - 2.5 hours in a day to play anymore, usually less. If I didn't have it as a motivator I might've given up on V2X and that would've sucked because it was awesome (just challenging). Same with Pix, I probably would've stuffed it in my backlog otherwise but now I've gotten a chance to see how rad it is and I'm glad I did. Plus it's kinda funny to see a handful of cags showing up on all the first achiever lists on psnp for a game. Usually it's just a bunch of nobody dumbasses that are probably stupid and stink and look like fish.

I super approve the TiT. It might be more like a book club than a competition to me, but I think it's terrific.

The points trophies are definitely skill-based; I may have hit a wall with the Arcade one...for now.

I had fun participating in the TiT. For about an hour.
