I've completely run out of things to talk about. 10 posts in an hour and I've gone dry. How do you guys do it?

So the way I read that, should get a free game and 3 months of plus.

I had account back in 11 and got a welcome back game but should still get another game from this thing.
You only get one of the options:

  • If you did get a free game from the Welcome Back campaign, you can choose one of the above options (game, themes or 3 months of PS Plus) instead of two. That offer is also capped, this time at $4,000,000, with the same one-month PS Plus deal available to anyone who misses out.

Well misread that part, so ima get my free game depending on the list. 3 months plus is a little useless to me as I have like 4 years of it.

Well if by some chance you own all the games offered (which is very likely) you may be stuck with a theme. :/

Prolly not, I didnt play ps3 much until few months before ps4 launch when I switched from MS to Sony.

FYI if you have live sub left and dont plan to use it, you can cancel it. Got 11 months of prepaid codes from what I had left, sold them to guy I work with for 40 bucks, which is prolly really close to what I paid for it.

That's interesting. I had no idea you could do this.

All Wes Anderson movies suck ok?
Not OK.

E3? You have to be insider to go that. You know someone in the industry?
Moose must be posing as a game journalist now.

If you like Wes Andersen, don't sleep on Fantastic Mr. Fox. Rushmore is his best, IMO, but I can't believe how much I enjoyed Fox.

My favorites:

Spirited Away
Two of my all time favorites. Fox really came out of nowhere for me, but I can quote almost the whole movie at this point I've watched it so many times; it's brilliant.

*doesn't mention either among his favorites*

I gave up trying on the tracks and found another Dark Waters mission. Restarted the missions 5 or 6 times and then was able to get this to pop. Did the bus mission after that and got the Right back at you stunt. Chased a few of them into an alley. Thought it was going to be really hard but took 10 mins tops to get this one. 6 more now. Currently it is the High fall head shock thing. Have to figure out where best to do that one.
I started my shard collecting and am quickly starting to wish I hadn't. 350 is way too fuck ing many. there's also some unfortunate information conflicts on the internet about the qty in each area. in theory unless the gamespot map is right I'm done with neon completely now which is awesome. 3 more stunts too (right back at you, kill 5 dudes at once, and something with a power I don't have yet).

don't know if I'll have the nuts to do the second evil/hard playthrough after all this jankery.

These days I literally watch at most one movie per year if any. I haven't seen many of these movies you guys are talking about, except somehow I've seen rushmore multiple times.

so far this year I watched anchorman 2. a classic undoubtedly on par with everything you guys are talking about.

Reading about the Sony settlement, I hope we don't get a rehash of the games on the "Welcome Back" program. That said, those who did partake get a free PS3 and PSP game, if I understood correctly or 3 months Plus. Value wise, wouldn't the three months be better (18 games for "free")?

Haven't seen 2, but I loved the first Anchorman. A classic indeed.

Bum and Matt, sorry about Jam last night.  I had a major league head bob going on when you sent me messages.  I was tired from a stressful work day yesterday and that journalism debate.  I was just trying to get through a level in infinite before I went to bed.  #fuckingtired

in all honesty I didn't like the 2nd one really at all. I have no idea if it was well received or not, but it didn't work for me. first one is dope on a rope.

fun fact: I got to double dip in the welcome back program because some dude with the psn name D1DUsEETHAT23 or something accidentally used one of my email addresses for his account. I'm still playing those copies of lbp and infamous. I just want to 100% them so I can never login as D1DUsEETHAT23 again.

also, sold off my arkham origins copy for a little more than I paid for it, so now I get to buy it digital like all the cool kids. also sold ghostbusters :ps3: for a lot more than I paid for it for some reason. good stuff.

if anyone needs an itunes code, $35 for $50 - shoot me a pm.

Probably for fun, because I wouldn't want to try collecting money from all you yahoos. I'm sure if I hosted I could award the winner something small like a $5 PSN card or a pack of oreos of your choice. It'd be fun and have some sort of prize for some extra incentive to keep your rosters up to date.
Not sure if I'm late to respond, but I'd be down.

Serious question time again.

I have a $5 reward cert from Best Buy that expires on the 26th.  Which is in two days.  Any ideas on what I should spend that on?  As a last resort I was just going to get a $10 PSN card.   I am trying not to get a cheap game just because its cheap as I want to get through the PS3 backlog.  So $10 PSN card might be my best bet anyway...

Unless I'm mistaken, you can redeem Best Buy certificates on Best Buy gift cards, so you could just "buy" a $5 GC to hold onto for the future.

$10 card, use it toward Rogue Legacy.

Thing that drives me nuts about Clerks, some other Kevin Smith movies, and lots of other movies in general is when the dialogue is spit out way too quickly. As if these characters have something that witty to say a split second after another character finishes their sentence.

Drives me insane. Lots of TV shows do it too to fit all their dialogue into 21/42 minute timeframes.
Which is why I am one of those weird people who always watches movies and TV shows with subtitles if they are available so I don't have to worry about being able to understand what they are speaking.

So many things to respond to!

Dark Tower is my go-to book series, though I think Insomnia is my fav from the King.  Ready Player One was good too in a cheesy kind of way.

I'm down for a fun fantasy football league.  The people I normally played with stopped playing for some reason, so I've had to play with randos on ESPN and it sucked.  I like the idea of playing against you assholes way better.

I also recommend the Pink Floyd Echos/2001 ending mashup.  Good times.

While it was nice to see the love connection between ender & rimjob, I can confirm that kilik64 and I will not becom bros because he has shitty hyperbolific tastes in movies and ladies.

And the best joke of all the times:

A priest, a minister, and a rabbi walk into a bar.  Bartender says, "What is this some kind of joke?"

Oh yeah.  Games.

Booted up Injustice Vita last night.  Didn't get far (just tutorials & one challenge/mission), but I like it so far.  Controls will not be memorized, and therefore I will suck if you ever fight me online.  But it'll be fun to be all these characters and it doesn't really look that bad on Vita.  Sure it may not look as silky smooth as it's console brethren, but it still looks purty good.

I started picking up the shards as I go along as I see them. I think I have 95 or so now. Probably a mistake but figure I can always come back and do a new game good play through down the road and sit there with a print out (doubt I would though). Which I did 5 years ago and never finished (and lost my game save). Not sure I could check off 350 shards on a print out one at time as I get them. I am hopeful that there will be enough youtube videos showing where the hard to get/find ones are. I picked up two more stunts so I need 5 now. I got in the your face and right back at you (once trying once not).

Like you I need one that I don't have the power for.

And yet you skip over the only serious (and really important too!) question? And I had literally asked it a few minutes before your post.

Your such an asshole.
I didn't respond to that because the good Professor had already given the definitive answer for it. Any other response would be a waste of digital ink.

I'm not a big fan of Top 5 lists for movies or books because I tend to be so extremely picky when it comes to what I read/watch that my "favorites" are pretty equal in terms of quality for me. I'll come up with a list of movies that stand out in my memory, though.

Top 5 sports movies go!

1. Miracle

2. Remember the Titans

3. Rudy

4. Hoosiers

5. Glory Road

a priest, a rabbi, and John Wilkes Booth walk in to the bar.

the priest walks up to the bar and the bartender offers him a drink.
"no thanks, I treat my body with respect and let no drink enter it."

the rabbi walks up to the bar and the bartender offers him a drink.
"no thank you, today is the sabbath and I live a clean life."

John Wilkes Booth walks up to the bar and the bartender offers him a drink and John Wilkes Booth assassinates him.

I just pre-ordered Destiny. Had a lot of fun playing with my friend last night and he's getting it. so that helps. The $50.xx even after GCU+tax still hurts, though.

Punxsutawney Dr. Phil

I saw a really good interview with him last week. This entire time I never knew he and Shatner don't get along. Like, he really dislikes him. Also didn't know that he's gay (not that it matters). I don't mean just gay, but like a political advocate for gay rights type. Crazy. I'm sure most of you know Star Trek is one big ass allegory for social issues, so he talked about trying to have that addressed in one of the episodes. Never happened, lol...but yeah.

Ya, I got the same "it's been awhile since you visited" reward zone coupon. I perused through the bins (which were filled with about a billion copies of Playstation all Stars, Sly Cooper, Uncharted, etc.) and the preowned section but didn't find anything worthwhile that was under $15. If you don't have sleeping dogs from PS+ they were selling it new on clearance for $10. Otherwise a PSN card is probably your best bet.

you could also get saint's row 4 for 4.99 after a $5 cert at bby today, a buck cheaper if you're gcu.
Though the super spiffy edition with DLC is out for $30 and I imagine around the holiday times it will plunge to the $15 range.

I loved 2, but had difficulty getting into 3. Supposedly 4 in closer in vein to crackdown as it is set in a computer so you have matrix-like super powers.

According to the fine print on the website, you can not. I was going to do that for one I had expiring, but after reading that just went ahead and got an SD card for the kids tablet.
