I don't know how I resisted so long but finally picking up Pixel Junk Monsters. Thinking of just getting that triple pack with it, Racers and Eden.

Not that having to put $5 in credit is a huge deal, but it still bothers me that Sony enforces that BS of a $5 minimum. Guess it's no different than the 400 point minimum on the 360 (which there are ways to get around).

Might pick up PJ Sidescroller just because of that.
If you're buying on a main account, you can set the option to automatically pull the amount required from your cc. If buying on a sub-account, you cannot use that :(
can't decide between shooter 2 and monsters deluxe!
I know some people are picking up Monsters Deluxe because it can be played on the Vita. Glad I got the games I was missing in the 3 for 1 $2.

If you already played PJ shooter 1 then Monster Deluxe might be a good choice.
If you're buying on a main account, you can set the option to automatically pull the amount required from your cc. If buying on a sub-account, you cannot use that :(
That only works for amounts over $5 though.

After Sony being hacked I would NOT trust my credit card info with them. Then again, I think I've only ever used the PSN cards.

You could argue that after being hacked, your credit card info is likely more safer with them than with companies who have never been hacked.

I agree. I totally understand why people don't like to have their CC's on file with too many companies (I uncheck the box every time I order something online), but to be fair there was never any confirmed instances of credit card fraud with the Sony hack, and like gettinmoney said, hopefully Sony is being over-cautious with it at this point.

After I re-set up my PSN account after the hack, I decided I wouldn't add my card back. That lasted for all of 2 weeks, when I needed to add something like $6.xx to my wallet, simply because it's cheaper and more convenient than purchasing PSN cards.

I hadn't picked anything up off of PSN in awhile so I grabbed Shooter 2 (have all of the other pixeljunk games except sidescroller which I don't care for). And I've been wanting Journey so I grabbed it.

Yes, this is the only thing about PSN that's better than XBL points. But still don't understand the $5 minimum. I mean is there really a reason? Some small businesses don't do charges under a certain amount because of the surcharge. But Sony's not a small business. I think whatever CC fees there are would be more than made up in additional sales they'd get by not having the silly minimum. It especially pisses me off when something's $4.99.

Maybe some people's credit cards are different, but with mine, it's so easy to stop fraud and get new cards that I'm really not all that concerned with my credit card info getting stolen.

As for why there is a $5 minimum, it's probably to drive purchases. Maybe you just want to buy 2 of the $1 PixelJunk games, but now you have $3 sitting in your wallet. That means that new Datura game doesn't take $10 more to add, it's just $7.

Bought the 3-pack and Shooter. Been wanting to try some of these.

Here's hoping that this sale is a huge success and we start seeing more like it.

Got a chance to try these $1 PixelJunk games finally. Racer is kinda meh to me, but it came in the 3 for $2 pack so I am not complaining.

Eden, Shooter and Monsters are pretty good, each in their own way. I like the style and music these games bring and they are just fun games overall.

Just be warned though. For Pixeljunk Eden, you want headphones or some good sound if possible. It's one of those ambiance type games where the music really adds to the experience and well having music with it is nice.

Sweet, I'm trying to think if there are any Ubisoft PSN games I don't have. I have From Dust, Outland, Might and Magic, Rayman Origins. Any way to find a list of Ubisoft published PSN games?

EDIT: Frisky read my mind, thanks bro!
Oh whoops, my bad, I meant From Dust.
Yes, it's Ubisoft. I also really enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought I would. Easy recommendation if it shows up as 50% off.

Thank you! Own almost everything, would grab Shoot Many Robots for sure. Would contemplate Cell Factor.

Oh yeah, I Am Alive was the other one. If all those games went on sale, I'd pick up Beyond Good and Evil, From Dust, I Am Alive, and Rayman 3 with a maybe to Shoot Many Robots.

I see a couple Ubi games I might get, depends on what ends up on sale. Any chance DLC goes on sale too, or just full games? Still need some AC DLC I would pick up for half off...not getting my hopes up though.

Oh and is there any word on potential PS+ discount on PJ 4am? I didn't even know it was priced yet, but I figured 10.

I really wish Ubisoft had released I Am Alive on a physical disc and didn't make the AI quite as frickin' dumb as the video reviews have made them out to be. Not to mention shrouding everything in a death cloud that if you drop into it for too long you could die. I was kinda hoping for some parkour sections to the game, such as jumping between ruined buildings that're teetering on the verge of collapse to break up the segments where you encounter other survivors and have to either flee or fight.

I was also kinda hoping that From Dust was Ubisofts' version of Black & White for the consoles. I liked the game on PC back in the late 90's or so when it released, but a console version never materialized before MS gobbled up the company that made the game.:whistle2:#

Hmm...I have the Greatest Hits and Game of the Year disc version of Uncharted 2 sealed in my backlog.

I was wondering, if all the free digital download content of UC2 is the same as what is available with the GOTY disc version of Uncharted 2?

I ask this so that I can just buy a used vanilla/regular edition of Uncharted 2 and give my GOTY UC2 to a friend of mine. I have yet to even play the first Uncharted.

The GOTY also includes the motion comic pack, a few psn avatars, and a pinball game (for psp I think). So you'll be missing out on those. Oddly enough, the new free content does include one skin pack that's not included with the GOTY edition, too.

Also, if I remember correctly, none of the bonus content is on disc. It's all a one-time-use dlc code.

^Thank you, I was looking up information on this. I saw Joystiq's explanation and it was similar to yours.

I was still confused since the back of the box doesn't really explain anything. I figured the four pieces of free DLC was missing something or had the rest built-in.

I guess I'll keep my disc coy of the GOTY edition. Thanks again.

Ok so I tried Awesomenauts. That game is almost fucking amazing. I say almost because if you try to queue up as one person, you just get into a random game that is probably already in place and there is no way to choose I want to start a fresh game. So you usually get in a game partway through and one side has an advantage because bots suck.

The game itself is a 2D sidescrolling MOBA like Dota or LOL,. Yes it sounds weird but to sum it up, you goal is for your team to take down turrents to expose their base and then destroy it. As you kill enemies you get money to purchase new upgrades for your character in the match. You get two abilities that can be used infinite times but run on a cooldown timer once used. It's a great game, but the fact that I can't queue into a new game because queuing is all random is a huge, huge problem for me.

Wouldn't awesomenauts be great as a vita game? I mean you don't really use R2 or L2 (on PS3 except to display taunts) and R1 is for teleporting. I also don't think the graphics would be too hard on the vita either. If this was on vita I would easily pay for it.
i might just end up getting From Dust before this sale ends.
Same here.

I keep seeing it on sale for the PC, but I've read about it having so many issues. I've been holding myself back until either the PSN or XLive version went on sale. Perhaps the day will soon arrive.

I update the list in the OP with expiration dates when they're known, so if it's not there, it's not ending yet.

K, thanks again man. I tend to just jump to the last page of threads that I am subscribed to.

Glad to hear rock of ages free. Was going to buy it regardless and I own it on steam as well.

side note: it seems like you and I play alot of Treasures of Montezuma lol

It would be, or have one of those backwards compatible functions. It would probably even work on PSP (maybe with toned down graphics since it only uses one stick). If they fixed matchmaking I would seriously love this game to death but as it is now, it's the only real flaw.

Ugh, of course Rayman 3 HD goes on sale when I have to send my PS3 in due to it not being able to eject the disc. Times like this I wish I could buy content online. Any word on how long the sale will be (I assume a week)?

Probably a week, but the content hasn't even been confirmed yet, so don't worry too much about it yet.

Yes, absolutely yes. I was just mentioning that on Twitter the other day.

I've never tried it but doesn't battle mode put you in a new game rather than whatever is going on? (i generally just pick quick game and go)

I would LOVE Scott Pilgrim but I doubt they'll put it on sale. Probably throw in Assassin's Creed, I'm not sure about From Dust I think it's been on sale twice now, Clash maybe, Outland. But they've done PoP and Clancy sales before. Shoot I think is likely. Rayman I could see. It will be interesting to find out.

I've joined games where our base was already exposed and I've still gone on to win.
