Red Dead isn't the GOTY version? What a slap in the face. Sony is raping us Plus members once again!
You know you sound like a hobo pissed someone only gave you a dollar, right?
Yeah. I suck and decided that I really like the Persona series now that the Atlus sale is over. I'm thinking the chances of those going on sale again (1 and 2 in particular, which seem to be way expensive on Amazon/Gamestop) anytime soon is slim to nil. Oh well..
Yeah me too. I should have bought persona 3 while it was on sale. But I have persona 3 on UMD unopened. But I also would like it digital.

I am surprised there is no talk about Sony announcing PSone classics coming to the Vita or that buying PS All-Stars, Sly Cooper, or Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault on PS3, nets you the Vita version for free.

Part 1 may take forever to actually get implemented... Part 2 should have been expected after all the criticism they received after talking about delivering the exact same game across both platforms.
Really? Is there any announcement on what games? That would be great because I just got a free month trial for ps plus.
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012...ta-online-game-save-storage-getting-upgraded/

Since its inception, PlayStation Plus has delivered a strong value to PlayStation gamers. We’ve been keeping our ears to the ground and asking Plus members “What would you like to see added to PlayStation Plus?”

Today, I’m happy to share the news that was announced at Gamescom: PlayStation Plus is coming to PS Vita this year, and Online Game Saves are getting a giant upgrade in September.

We will also deliver PlayStation Plus, which is currently available for PS3 users, to PS Vita users this year. By purchasing a membership to PlayStation Plus, PS Vita users will be able to enjoy various services which will become available exclusively for members.

Additionally, we’re upgrading Online Game Save Storage. Previously, Online Game Saves offered up to 150MB of game save data storage in the cloud for PlayStation 3. With this update, Plus members will get to store up to 1GB of game save data. This means you’ll never have to worry about running out of space for your game save files!

We love hearing feedback from the community, so please share your thoughts with us in the comments below. We recognize that PlayStation Plus is a big part of what gamers have come to love about gaming on PlayStation. If you think we’re stopping here, think again — we’ll continue to roll out more features and content for Plus members to make it the best way to get the most out of your PS3 and PS Vita.

i'm in for some free outland and bloodrayne. i came really close to buying outland during the last sale but my backlog kept me from pulling the trigger. i was pissed this week that best buy isn't allowing me to order rayman origins ps3 on their site. wanted a good platformer. this will do. it's all good now.
Doubt it. Whether it's games you want or not, you can't deny that Sony usually puts up both quality digital and retail titles on PS+
Then where's my free Journey?!
Red Dead is great for anyone who has not played it-
I'd hate to be that 1%. Anyone who calls themself a gamer should have bought this long ago. What will be awesome is the resurgence in PvP online though. Maybe I can finally plat this since I'm only missing that full posse trophy. Nevermind lol, guess it's EU only. I still hate online trophies though.

The 1GB cloud storage is great news since some saves are so big. Was getting close to running out of room and having to delete some stuff.

as of right now its only europe psn+
Then where's my free Journey?!
Wish I knew haha. I want mine too! It only came out 5 months ago, so it's probably not gonna be anytime soon. But I believe the retail Collector's Edition, containing Flow, Flower AND Journey, will be available in 2 weeks on the 28th. Not really free, but it's something.

And I'm actually kinda interested in all the other features that are coming with firmware 1.80 for the Vita besides PSone Classics. It all seems like stuff that should've been there day one. With the new update you can now control your PS3 from your Vita.

 • Control the home screen and some features in applications, such as Video, Music, or Settings, using the buttons on PS Vita.
 • Variable speed playback, fast-rewind and fast-forward, and repeat play will be supported in the Video application.
 • Music playlists which are imported from PlayStation 3 (PS3) or iTunes 1 under Music application will be supported.
 • "Cross-Controller" icon will be added to the LiveArea under the Remote Play application to enable users to play PS3 format software by using their PS Vita as a controller. (Depends on title, both PS3 and PS Vita software titles will be required.)

I have some questions about psn plus, I am using psn plus trial for 30 days, I know that the ps3 games such as infamous2, LBP2 and Saint row 2 will be expired once my membership expired. However, for PSN games such as lara, pac man, I can click the game detail and check that there is no expiration date in the game detail. That means if my psn plus expired, I can still play theese PSN games?

Also, I have some questions about the new game in next week called Counter-Strike: GO. Does this game require an online pass to play online? Also, does this game have single player mode ( I mean playing offline)? Since my network is not very good, I am still considering whether to buy or not.

CS:GO is multiplayer only and downloadable games never have an online pass since you can't buy them used.

And I'll add to your first question about PS+. Anything you BUY at a discount stays with you forever. So deep discounts are often preferable over free.

Thank you very much, then before my psn plus expires,I choose to buy cs:go at at an discount price.

Can anyone speak to the quality of Burgertime WT? I think Burgertime is top 5 all time arcade favorites for me, so I'm inclined to jump in without knowing very much about it.

Also, nice permadrop on Blazblue Vita.

In conclusion, I wish FFXIII had Remote Play support because it'd be nice to grind the last of the crystarium while watching tv.

There's a Burgertime WT demo and from what I remember, it's not all that large of a download so you should try it out.
"Raping" isn't even a strong enough word! I am this close to calling Sony, demanding a refund on my subscription, then burning my PS3 and all my games!
Hahah, it's like the people in the PS Blog who say shit like, "If you don't have any more Vita sales, I'm selling my PS3 and all my games and getting an Xbox!" Yeah, okay, guy.
You know you sound like a hobo pissed someone only gave you a dollar, right?
Just keep bending over for Sony and getting slapped in the face!

Has anyone tried Papo y Yo yet? Joystiq's review wasn't too bad. I'm gonna get to it after I plat Sound Shapes.

I bought Outland when it was on sale for $5 a few months ago, it's a solid game. I don't mind throwing the developer some cash. I also nearly bought Bloodrayne too but never did so I'm happy to see that one on the freebie list.

I only played BurgerTime for about 30 minutes since I bought it, but I liked what I played. Old school platforming action. I hate to see them only drop it 30% though, kinda chintzy on their part considering most sales are 50% off, except the 30%/50% PS+ ones.

The Vita version of Motorstorm RC is no longer free. To download it again, you have to go through the download list. The listing for the game in the store is different from the free version that used to be there.

@RonimoGames just announced on twitter that "Awesomenauts will be 50% off for the coming 2 weeks on PSN & XBLA!!!"

edit: They've deleted the tweet and changed it to 50% off on PSN in Europe and removed the XBLA mention. Not sure if they said something too early or if it was a complete mistake.
Shame those retail price drops on vita games didn't hit PSN also. Namely, resistance.
I was wanting the DD version of Hot Shots Golf. Was disappointed last night when the PSN prices weren't updated. And the thread title even says "Price Drops". Maybe next week.

So it seems that with this Cross Buy promotion, when you buy the PS3 version of the game, you get a code to download the Vita version. The only problem for me is I don't want downloadable versions of retail games. Hmmm, I guess I could sell the code, or play the game and buy the physical copy when it gets cheaper.

So don't get ahead of yourself.

I am a little concerned about the Vita version of the first game available for the Cross Buy promotion though. That game being PS All Stars. The Vita version isn't being developed by SuperBot and there's been little to no footage or info about it.

Well, that's exactly how the Sly Cooper promotion is going to work so maybe you should know what you're talkin about before questionin me?
Sell the physical copy, sans code?
But I want the physical copy, not the digital.
1. buy new get code
2. sell game
3. use code on psn get free vita game
4. sony dumb move
I would assume that the retail copy of the game would require some kind of activation code that is not transferrable (kinda like those online passes).

I actually love this promotion since I own both a ps3 and vita. But I also think this is a very sly way of combatting used games. It will start to get us consumers used to activation codes and bind retail games to our PSN accounts. I could be wrong, but I would bet that they have thought about this resale scenario.

But I want the physical copy, not the digital.
I do know what I'm talking about. Fact is it hasn't been OFFICIALLY confirmed on how they plan on going about doing the promotion. If you read the Ratchet and Clank post on the very SAME blog that rpg linked to, you get something worded similarly but DIFFERENTLY when referring to the Cross Play promotion.

"...Not only will the game feature cross-play and cross-save, but it’s also part of a super-cool promotional offer where anyone who purchases Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PS3 via Playstation Network will be able to download the PS Vita version of the game from PSN at no additional cost and vice versa."

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012...-unzips-ps-vita-support-and-competitive-mode/

Making it seem like you have to purchase the PS3 version of the game digitally through the PSN to get the free Vita version. And effectively negating the loop hole rpg pointed out.

So no, good sir, I suggest YOU know what you're talking about before responding to me.
@gettinmoney662
wondering when all systems go digital do u quit gaming?
No, I don't care, I just like to be consistent cause I'm weird like that. When I had my PSP, I only bought digital games.

Oh okay, so the Ratchet blog negates the Sly blog? fuckin idiot. I highly doubt they'll limit the promotion to games bought digitally.
