What is "rain"? I've never even heard of if.
When enough moisture in the air gathers in the clouds, it falls down upon the earth, nourishing everything it touches. It's also a psuedo puzzle-platformer where your character is only visible when standing in the pouring rain. Interesting concept and decent little game.

I found the PS3 version unplayable due to flipper lag. Have you played any of the other versions? No lag on Android, 360 or Vita for me. The 360 is on the exact same setup as my PS3 and has no lag. It's weird.
I've played the iOS version many a times, and I don't notice any difference in flipper lag between the two. Maybe it's your DS3?

Picked up Guacamelee (first game I've bought on PSN in months) and love it to pieces.

Finally got my Groupon Plus card, so I'm set til the next Christmas sale in a year. Not sure if I'll even get a PS4 next year, but I grabbed the free games while they're still on there. Now to find the time to play all this stuff...

There is some lag if your PS3 is set for 1080p. You can work around that by switching the PS3 to 720p. But actually I think maybe they fixed that in the last patch. I think a larger issue is their implementation of 2 stage flippers. I think that's where most people are thinking they have lag. It's not really lag. What's really happening is that they have too large a gap between stage 1 and stage 2. On a real machine the difference between flipping only the lower flipper vs. both (lower and upper) flippers is small. 2 stages flippers is a great feature of the PS3 version except for how its implemented. I'm hoping they have adjusted that in the upcoming patch. But I've gotten use to it at this point. I just press faster. Ha.

Thatgamecompany’s Flow Comes to PS4 Tuesday

very lame that I can't download this at no extra charge as I have already bought this game, as was the case with flower and sound shapes. Yeah, not paying for the same game twice.

Is it just me, or have the Walking Dead episodes gotten really short? I remember it used to take me 3-4 hours to finish an episode, and ever since No Time Left, each episode can be cleared in an hour and a half or under. I played All that Remains last night and I paused it several times (sometimes for even five minutes), and I still cleared it in just under an hour and a half. I'm kind of disappointed.
It's just you. Everyone I know took two hours TOPS to complete each episode.

...you consider that a whine? I'll be sure to call you out the next time you show the slightest hint of displeasure.

first of all, you can look at my post history. I don't feel the need to whine on here. second of all, you already posted in this same thread numerous times about your apparent belief that the PS4 is not being supported properly because it is not getting free games a month after it has released. so yes, i think that is a whine because you are simply repeating the same thing over again and no one wants to hear it.

Started playing Tomb Raider. Ok, so this seems like it is Uncharted but with gross-out gore/creepiness. Hmm. I guess it's fun enough, but I kept thinking this would be better if they had not felt it was necessary to make an M-rated game. I'm sure I'll get enough fun out of it, though.

Also started playing Terraria for real on Vita. It's great.

Meanwhile Spelunky finally pissed me off. !!! Well, not because of the game, but because I got screwed out of a decent spot on the Daily Challenge leader board. :( I finally had a good run and beat Olmec, ending with something like 321,000 monies. The credit sequence starts and I try to skip it. I can't remember what button to skip it, so I just start pushing buttons and it goes black and then to the main menu. It never gave me the screen where it has press X to check the leader board. So I go back into the leader board and … nothing. I am not on the leader board for the day. I check and I can't do the daily again - it says I already did it, but I'm nowhere to be found. GRRRR. Next time I won't skip the credit sequence, but perhaps that was coincidental. I hope they fix whatever caused that soon.

If you have the Playstation card, you can now customize it with some Playstation characters. I know, who cares huh? But I thought it was cool. Ordered myself a Puppeteer card.

Great, so we can put useless pictures on our credit card, but we can't use Paypal on the PSN store? Typical Sony.

Add this to the fact that they haven't given away every single PS4 game for free yet, and I really can't see how they'll stay in business come this time next year. They have officially abandoned support for the PS4 and it's already dead.

Maybe it was the hype, but I didn't really feel it was special. Sure, for Tomb Raider it is probably great, but I still prefer Uncharted. I guess it really doesn't matter which is better but after playing the entire Uncharted Series, I thought Tomb Raider was like you said, a gory Uncharted. I think the reason why Tomb Raider got so much hype is because there is nothing that can compare to Uncharted on the Xbox 360 and the 360 gamer's finally got a taste of Uncharted type of gameplay.

Hmm, do I make myself look like even a bigger nerd in public by having a customized Playstation credit card? Yes, yes I do. Just have to choose between The Last of Us or God of War. I was close to cancelling this thing since the sony rewards site has been a clusterfuck for the past several months, but it seems to be much improved lately.

I actually thought the shooting in Tomb Raider was much better than in any of the Uncharted games. Naturally the set pieces/story were not as good, but it still stands out as one of the better games I played this year (I really dug the Arkham Asylum-esque environment where there were lots of nooks and crannies to explore and find upgrades).

Uncharted's shooting is okay at best, that's why I never really liked Uncharted 2, because they left the puzzle solving from Uncharted 1. I think Uncharted 2 only has 3 or 4 puzzles the entire game and at one point you are on a fucking train, shooting down an airplane. It was too ridiculous. Uncharted 3 is probably my favorite because they were able to balance puzzle and action with a great story. I felt like in U3, they really figured out their formula.

Guacamelee DLC cross buy?
yes

You can apparently play Killzone Shadow Fall MP for free this weekend or something. I'm sure it'll be copy pasted
Killzone Shadow Fall: Free Multiplayer Weekend Starting December 28th
As hinted back in August by Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios, we’re excited to announce that starting today, PS Plus members can begin pre-loading Killzone Shadow Fall now for a special FREE multiplayer extended open weekend from 12/28 through 12/31.

Through this promotion, the PS4 owners who don’t yet own Shadow Fall can easily try the game’s acclaimed multiplayer mode, and experience first-hand the excitement that thousands of videos and livestreams have already spread via the PS4′s powerful share functionality. Check here for current competitions and tournaments you can watch and/or participate in during the open weekend.

It’s also important for us to reiterate that the Shadow Fall multiplayer experience will continue to evolve and expand with new content and additional features. In fact, a new update will soon go live that addresses many oft-requested features, including the addition of voice chat. Moreover, all additional maps will be made available for free to ensure that the community grows without fragmenting. We’re committed to supporting Shadow Fall, and we’re excited to share more about that vision early in the new year.

Don’t forget to start pre-loading today to make sure you’re on as early as possible on December 28th.

See you all online!

NOTE: Plus members who don’t own Shadow Fall but opt to pre-load and participate in the MP open weekend will also be downloading single-player content (although MP can be prioritized to complete first). Please be aware that while this single-player content will be automatically downloaded, it will NOT be unlocked during this trial weekend.

Ah, cool. I am not going to compete too well, but I signed up anyway and joined that leader board. I think it is still gathering my trophies. At least I hope so. Ha ha!

Looking at their ranking of my trophies, I can see my fastest way to climbing the CAG leader board is to work on the trophy-equipped Pinball Arcade games! Scared Stiff Wizard goals completed is my highest rated trophy and most of the top ones are Pinball Arcade.

I'm pleased that so many people have signed up for it! it's been fun watching my rank slowly sink downwards since the first day.
I'm not because I don't know who most of them are. Soon, I'll be passing Sirgey, who the fuck is Sirgey? How can I talk shit to him if I don't know who he is or he never posts in here?

If you have the Playstation card, you can now customize it with some Playstation characters. I know, who cares huh? But I thought it was cool. Ordered myself a Puppeteer card.

Decisions, decisions!!!..... When you stop to think about it, its actually great that I'm having such a hard time choosing which design I want because it only means that Sony has so many awesome exclusives...

There is some lag if your PS3 is set for 1080p. You can work around that by switching the PS3 to 720p. But actually I think maybe they fixed that in the last patch.
Damn it, I remember you guys told me that before, and I meant to try switching to 720p, but I never got around to it. But if it's been patched, maybe I'll try it again (or just wait for the mega January patch they've promised).

I'm leaning towards buying season one for PS3 then the $20 pro pack for PS4, since it looks like $35.99 went away real fast and probably isn't coming back. Stupid good pinball game taking all my virtual money.

Try 64, heh. You dropped three spots in 10 minutes.

Jay's right, though. It's not much fun unless we're giving each other shit and motivating each other to do better.
:oldman:

Currently going for the Gravity Rush platinum, so hopefully that will move me back up to slightly less irrelevance...

#88. I'm paying homage to my boy Michael Irvin (I get to call him Mike, but I didn't want you people thinking you could).
