thats alot of games brah. Wonder if Enslaved is gonna be standalone and have new trophies. love that game.

Driveclub is replaced by Contrast for ps plus!! I am super happy about this, if you don't know what Contrast is, here's a vid.

I would imagine it's just Enslaved bundled with the Perfect 10 DLC for it.

Also don't know if you guys heard this, but MS is continuing the Games for Gold program on 360, but said the value of the games would be no more than 30 British pounds per month, so no more than about $30-$40. I guess it's going to be 1 XBLA/1 GoD game or 2 really cheap GoD games from here on out.

MS hasn't gone through giving away their 360 launch titles for free yet so it would make sense that they would continue their GFG program. Bring on Kameo and Call of duty 2!

During the podcast was it revealed (or hinted) whether we are getting hotline miami or sine mora on tuesday?

I really hope it's Hotline. I've been waiting forever to play that.
Me too!

I was reading the ps blog and stumbled upon this post. The ps store can't really still be this broken, can it?

Macmog on October 19th, 2013 at 12:31 am said:

I can’t buy Bionic Command: Rearmed because I already own the demo?! Looks like your “can’t buy the bundle if you already own some pieces” detection went overboard. I tried this in the Web store and on the PS3 and got the same error. Any chance you can get this fixed before the sale ends? Then maybe make that “can’t buy the bundle” a warning that I can click through? It has happened multiple times where I own a game and then the game + add-ons bundle goes on super-sale, selling for less than it would cost me to buy the (not simultaneously discounted) add-ons separately.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I loved Heavy Rain. Which is weird, because I don't like anything.
I dug the game, but I really like interactive experiences like this. If anything, you should prepare yourself to not like the outcome of tonight's game.

I liked Heavy Rain a lot, which is odd since I don't like a lot of those "interactive" games like the Telltale Games and such. I'm looking forward to checking out Beyond when it hits $10.
You should have stopped 6 words into the post. It just started going downhill from there..

Didn't care for Django as much as I thought I would. Felt a little bloated and oddly paced. Still, worth a buck if you haven't seen it.
..and further..

So pretty much what it has been thus far. I am content with what they have given and am glad to see it will continue. I haven't played a single one yet, but have downloaded them all (though I had beaten Fable III, Halo 3, AC2, RSV, Crackdown and Defense Grid already).

Wonder if I should get Okami....

My PS3 backlog (of games that I actually want to play) is probably over 100 and I haven't even touched Skyrim, Arkham City, God of War 1-3, GTA4 and add ons, Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Infamous 2, AssCreed1, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Mass Effect 2 plus so many more than I downloaded (and paid for).  All those games are still in the wrappers and those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

1. The digital ones WON'T transfer to the PS4, right? So if I get distracted by PS4 games, I may never get to play Okami.

2. I seriously think I have a problem with buying games.

Games that I actually finished (not 100%) are only Uncharted 1-3, Resistance 1, R&C Future and Crack in Time, Bioshock 1-2, FF13 and 13-2...and that's it.  I must have 250 DISC games (and I know I have 1100 items on my PSN download list but they're all not games) and bought the PS3 at launch and I've only completed 10 games to see an ending scene.

So, it's true that I won't be able to play PSN games on my PS4 without rebuying them or something?

Get Okami and skip out on the PS4. And here I thought I was bad at finishing games.

you cant play ps3 games on the ps4. disc, psn, whatever.

That's what I thought. I know I will NEVER finish these games I bought. I just don't have the time.

Anyone know if PS2 games (like GTA3/VC/SA, Psychonauts) or PS1 I guess (I have all the Final Fantasy's on PSN) bought on PSN will transfer over to PS4?

Well, I finally got a PS3 after many, many, many years of uncertainity, and I'm struggling to retrieve all its classic exclusives while I stare at my TV with a dislocated jaw. I've also activated my PSN+ almost immediately, but the problem is... I'm an Euro GAF and this thread seems devoted to the US store only (as offers and discounts are wildly different between regions).

So, excuse my noobish question, but is there another thread where Sony blokes hang out talking about their own store?

You're in the right place at the wrong time. Just wait for next month's EU PS Plus announcements and there will instantly be hundreds of posts about EU PSN. Also, you'll feel really good about yourself for being EU instead of US.

I don't think we have anything like that here, though we do have a few EU CAGs scattered about in the gamesharing thread. Since you're from GAF I'll assume you're familiar with 'Cheap Arse Gaffer':

still hoping for a sale on the amaulr DLC sometime soon. dont really want to drop $20 on that stuff, but i would be in for 50% off or whatever. i enjoyed that base game quite a bit.

Does anyone know if Symphony of the Night was on sale at some point? I'm getting sick of waiting to buy it for the Vita. I've completed the game many times already that's why I would rather not spend the full $10.

It'll most likely be Hotline Miami since it's Cross Buy, which also makes it a PS3 game.

So if I rent Django, is it like Amazon where I can start watching any time, and then have 48 hours to finish? Or do I have to watch it right away?
You have 30 days to start watching it and either 24 or 48 hours, which I believe is the same as Amazon. It'll specifically mention that when you try to purchase it, so you shouldn't be able to miss those details.

re SOTN: i own it, i dont remember how much i bought it for but im sure i wouldnt have bought it at full price. so... not the most useful answer i guess.

Does anyone know if Symphony of the Night was on sale at some point? I'm getting sick of waiting to buy it for the Vita. I've completed the game many times already that's why I would rather not spend the full $10.

Go over to that thread and do a search of the game's title and it'll bring up any sales or other related posts for that game.

Here's the only sale it's ever had from three years ago:

I've been a PS+ member since 8/2010. I thought Symphony of the Night was free once for PS+ when we got PS1 classics. I have it downloaded and don't think I paid for it.

still hoping for a sale on the amaulr DLC sometime soon. dont really want to drop $20 on that stuff, but i would be in for 50% off or whatever. i enjoyed that base game quite a bit.
I think it would have made the most sense to put it on sale when the base game was put up for PS+ a few weeks ago. I'm not sure what the likely hood of a random sale is now, though maybe that will change since the IP was bought earlier this week.

You're in the right place at the wrong time. Just wait for next month's EU PS Plus announcements and there will instantly be hundreds of posts about EU PSN. Also, you'll feel really good about yourself for being EU instead of US.
Yeah, I found that the official Playstation blog is very up to date compared to Microsoft's counterpart (Major Nelson and the like): last week, they already announced what EU PSN+ subscribers will receive during November (Metal Gear Rising and Remember Me), so I can stick with it.

I just didn't know if discussing EU sales, ICG and discounts was considered "rude" somehow in this thread, as maybe there was another one I was not aware of :bouncy:

I don't think we have anything like that here, though we do have a few EU CAGs scattered about in the gamesharing thread. Since you're from GAF I'll assume you're familiar with 'Cheap Arse Gaffer':

Also, a thread dedicated to EU & US PS+:

You're right, I discovered CAG forums exactly through the thread on NeoGAF you linked first :)

The OP made a great work listing all PSN+ games that made their way into the Instant Game Collection program.

The Wikipedia page about Instant Game Collection seems very well attended too, as the authors usually update it soon after new titles are announced. Take that with a grain of salt, though, as I'm a fresh PSN+ subscriber and had the chance to check its accuracy only during the last two weeks... :bouncy:

According to what's written there, Castlevania SOTN was free during May 2012 :)

So apparently the Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy package has the AC2 extra DLC missions included. Would have been nice for them to mention that on the box or packaging. Glad I didn't buy them when they were on sale a couple weeks ago.

On a related note, it was my first purchase too, but on Xbox Marketplace. And one of the few games which I bothered obtaining all achievements too. A true masterpiece :)
i wish they had released a version with trophies on the ps3, i definitely would have gotten them all. ive played through the game multiple times in the past though and havent gotten around to playing back through it again on the ps3 since its just a ps1 version again.

Ya, Castlevania SotN was PS+ freebie along with Castlevania Chronicles, Spyro 1-3, Crash Bandicoot 1-3+Racing, Resident Evil 1-3, Syphon Filter 1-3, 2 Oddworld games, Destruction Derby, Final Fantasy V, Silent Hill, to name a few.

This is older news, but Sony released a patent that allows trophies to pop on PS1/PS2 classics. I fully expect it to be an only PS4 feature though. With Gaikai, I see them advertising PS4 as playing all 4 gens.

Yeah I got all those games on my account. I loved PS+ from the start and it keeps getting better. Plus being able to play those games on the Vita is fantastic.

This may not be a PSN specific deal, but Best Buy's CinemaNow has an UltraViolet promotion where you can get 10 free UV movies from a specific list of movies if you sign-up for a CN account. There are some good movies on there like Big Trouble in Little China and So I Married An Axe Murderer, so it's not all crap.

If you have an existing UV account, you can link that to the CN account and tie all of those movies together and watch them on the CN app on the PS3, which I believe is the first UV app on PS3 that I've seen. Vudu might've been updated to finally support UV on PS3 since the last time I checked, but it wasn't compatible with that stuff a few months ago. Now I have an excuse to open up my UV Blu-Rays to redeem those codes.

Edit: Just checked it and the Vudu app on PS3 now supports UV movies, so I can now watch those ten movies plus the others I've redeemed on either app. I'm glad that the UV stuff is finally working out like it's supposed to work so I can just have this digital library of movies to watch wherever.

Target is also offering 10 free movies at targetticket.com if you create an account and link it to UV. I think you need to add a payment method too. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I keep getting Redemption Unsuccessful on that one.

I just tried to unlink and relink my account to get the free movies. I'm not able relink my account. It just keeps loading. I don't even care about the free movies, I just wanted to see if it would work.

It did that for me when linking the account. If you just let it sit there for a bit, cancel out, and check the page again, it should have linked. It's not instantaneous like it should be.
