I'm sure MU is a decent service, but the iOS app doesn't get very good reviews, so that scared me off as that's the primarily way I'd listen to it.
When I had the trial, the iOS app was terrible. I also don't recall their being an offline cache. These were the only reasons I didn't pay the $12/year when I had the opportunity. Otherwise, it would have been a steal. The catalog seems on par with other services (spotify, etc.), and worked great on PC and PS3. Can anyone say whether the situation has improved?

I've used the iOS app since I signed up and I've always been able to download and listen to songs offline.

Th vita interface for Music Unlimited it a lot better than the ps3. You can rewind and fast forward on the vita. I could never find how how to fast-forward and rewind on ps3.

Really? I swear I couldn't do it when I had the app. That's pretty much the only reason I didn't sign up. Don't lie to me, son.

I did the Music Unlimited trial and had no problems with the iOS app.
We may not have done the trial at the same time. I can't exactly remember what it was, but the app wasn't good. I think it would hang every time I turned the screen off or went to another app. I couldn't change the bit rate on wifi, lol. I'm not sure it even synced to my itunes. It was just a bunch of stuff that was missing (in addition to the offline cache).

I don't know, I just used it to stream some albums.

Probably all core features. See what I did?

thanks, that's terrible news. I loves me some srpgs and will play ff tactics on vita when I need a fix, but still looking for a decent native vita srpg. Guess I'll keep looking.
I enjoyed Rainbow Moon quite a bit, especially the way the battle system works. I think I stopped playing at the point where I got my third party member, so the Vita version might be a good game to pick up and continue where I left off.

I can see why it might be for everybody, but it's far from a bad game. It has a pretty slow start that could easily turn off some people due to the way it teaches you how to play.

God forbid they would have some fun promoting a video game about assassins and pirates and assassin pirates and virtual reality and other super serious business things.

Seeing what the context is for what's going on in the real world outside of the Animus in ACIV in Giant Bomb's Quick Look makes me want to get it in the next week or so.

For those that don't know, [customspoiler='ACIV Spoiler']you're a new employee at Abstergo Entertainment, who signed a partnership with Ubisoft to make Assassin's Creed games (III, Liberation, and IV). Your job is to use the commercially available Animus in your cubicle to experience the life of Kenway and rate the moments (missions) that you play as feedback for their inclusion in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. Your shelves have spots for the figurines that you can collect in-game and you can explore the office in first-person to do some stuff there.[/customspoiler]

I think AC4 sounds awesome. AC3 is my favorite in the series right now. If you've been taking the 'real world' AC plotline as a serious piece of fiction I wish you the best, I like the complete absurdity of it. Feel free to light torches at my feet and burn me in effigy.

It should be kind of obvious that this is why I like that aspect of the game. The ending of AC2 was a clincher of that for me.

So wait...

Is the mythology complete gone from the series now? I really enjoyed the whole aspect of finding out about these people that came before and all their shenanigans. Does that somehow still play a role, or what's the deal?

I beat Ac3 and I'm about 4-5 hrs into AC4, I'm digging AC4 alot now. You can leave your ship at anytime and loot stuff from other ships and board them and lots other stuff too. You basically play as a guy who is testing out the new Assassin's Creed game, kinda funny that Ubi pokes fun at itself and the whole game industry. I guess this is a reboot now since Desmond is
dead
now.

Jim Sterling left Destructoid today, funny how I just listened to the new podcast yesterday and he said he wasn't talking about Batman Arkham Origins at all, so kinda weird how after he gave that a game an undeserved 3.5/10 now he's gone. Good riddance!!

Interesting. Now I ponder where he will go next?

As someone who has just gotten around to playing Brotherhood, I'm not even sure I want to finish the series....

That has to be the most drastic change in plot direction I have ever seen.

brotherhood is great, and then things get a lot less great. then apparently they noticed that and said fuck it lets make 4 fun again. i havent played 4 yet but it definitely sounds way the hell better than revelations or 3.

I actually just finished up Brotherhood tonight.  The ending was pretty dumb (both gameplay and story-wise) but the bulk of the game was excellent with plenty of fun things to do around Rome.  I enjoyed it more than AC2.  I've heard pretty crappy things about Revelations though so I doubt I'll be starting that one up any time soon.

For what it's worth, Brotherhood is a great game. It's the pinnacle of the series, in my opinion-- the gameplay and story (especially the ending) are both great. Revelations felt kinda stale to me, with nothing new or interesting, and AC III was just a huge letdown all around.

This isn't even close to the right place for this question but I like you guys, so would it be stupid to use a Wet One to clean my 3DS?  I'll stick to just the outer part of it, not the screens or the buttons.

Does PS+ time stack or start from when you enter the new code?

I'm on a 30 day trial now, which will end about 2 weeks before the black Friday $30 price at GS for a year.  So if I get a 3 month card, will it take effect at the end of the 30 days?

To those who recommended Fatal Frame 1/2 to me, I thank thee. Finally I found another video game that actually scares me!
Yeah, those are seriously spooky games. Love the second one especially. The one on the Wii is great, too, but it's Japan-only.

They stack.

I know AC 3 got a bad rap but I still plan on picking it up for cheap ($10 or so. more if it's a complete GOTY edition) on black friday.

I had planned on skipping revelations too, until I got if for like $5 from Best Buy.  Brotherhood was okay, and Revelation didn't add much.

It's not a deal, but you can FINALLY use PayPal to fund your wallet.
Thanks, no one's mentioned that on this page yet. I didn't want to go back to last page or the page before, or even three pages ago to reread when others have posted this news.
