You can use Party Chat on Soul Sacrifice unless they removed it. I haven't touched it since I got the platinum.

Interesting , might have to look into it once I get through more of the backlog. Right now Bioshock Infinite and Borderlands 2 keep me occupied. Also VLR, after finishing 999 and watching all ending, I better get some answers :whee:

apparently lone survivor is a nice atmosphere horror game but the ingame description/tutorials just absolutely S-U-C-K-S

game tells you NOTHING about pills or how they work, how to aim the gun for headshots, or even that you cant use the map in HARD MODE.....

Agreed, the SH Collection is an insult to the legacy of the series, just wishful thinking on my part. I still have my PS2 copy and a PS2 slim model but it just doesn't look the same on an HD screen (even with component cables). Maybe I'll just pick up an old SD TV for cheap, follow through on a dream, and build a retro gaming lounge in my basement. Yeah... Backlog.

Soul Sacrifice was a really nice game. A 70-80 hours time sink, which the trophies were really well designed for. Being a DPS kind of guy, made a 99/1 DPS character. And in the online, there is always someone complimenting your skill-set. The joy of pairing with a 1/99 healer, and other folk, made the battles interesting and fun.

I picked it up a couple of months ago right before the most recent update to the game. Online play was much more stable until that most recent patch. I get dropped games all the time now. It's a bummer.

 
I already have the only two from those lists I'd be interested in: Guacamelee and Divekick. So nothing for me. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

outside of guacamelee and umvc3 nothing spectacular pricewise - I thought doa5 was waaay cheaper a while back, like half as much. Is my brain exaggerating?

all american sony consumers love fighting games the most.

yes, doa5+ was $10, mk was $5.

 
Definitely gonna try out Divekick and Kickbeat, though they both scream "future PS+ title" to me.  More than likely I'll grab Kickbeat and pass on Divekick.

Real Boxing and Atomic Ninjas both look alright, but I'll wait for (at least) 50% off before considering them.

I actually think that Silent Hill 2 PS2 looks great on an HDTV thanks to the grain filter. The speckling does a good job of substituting for the lack of CRT softening.

IMHO divekick is far and away the better of the two games. I put down kickbeat after about an hour of playing, still jump on divekick today.

 
There's a demo for Kickbeat and i would try it before pulling the trigger. I wasn't too thrilled with the demo. I found it extremely difficult and not in a fun way.

 
Guacamelee is excellent. Anyone who hasn't picked it up yet really should. I guess you could wait and hope it goes free but it really is worth your PSN dollars.

Hah. I don't regret my purchase! Lone Survivor was definitely a good buy. But if Sony wants to time its discounts with my impulse buys, I certainly don't mind.

I only say that because that's the track record on my PSN purchases. I don't mind paying for games then they go free cause nobody forces me to buy them. I can be more patient now with my backlog and other PS+ games.

I know I'm going to love Guacamelee! but I can play the waiting game.
 
Yeah Guacamelee was worth it when I grab it last time on sale. Ended up grabbing the Challenge pack too.Definitely worth it

Games like Guacamelee and Spelunky are games that I love looking at on the Vita.

 
Wasn't Mortal Kombat Vita cheaper a couple months ago? If not I might jump on it, it would be perfect if you can challenge PS3 players but still worth a go.

Enjoy VLR. Great game, nearly as good as 999 (just a few actually dumb characters compared to 999's impeccable character writing) and way more ambitious.

 
wow. will dragons dogma disc saves work with this? I sold the disc game and was about to buy the dark arisen version as soon as it went on sale.

The first few songs are quite a bit harder than the songs that follow it, which makes for an uneven difficulty curve early on. Once you get past that, you can start to get in a better groove with the second area onward, as I finally got four stars on some of the last songs on my first time through the campaign.

I would certainly hope so, would be terrible to have to buy the digital version just to get the save bonuses.

 
Is it just me or is Jet Set Radio kind of annoying and frustrating and doesn't really control all that great? Just started it on the Vita. Thinking of stopping.

 
Listen, anyone on the fence about Lone Survivor needs to buy it now. It's awesome. And the fact that jay_remedy is temporarily silences means that I'm the singular voice of reason in this thread. So listen to me and buy it. Don't be a jerk.

This might be one of the few things we all can agree on. Its visuals hold up wonderfully, but the controls are unwieldly. Ruined it for me.

If you didn't play it when it came out, you won't really appreciate it. It's very stiff in its controls, and is enough to put someone off of it.

It's an all-time fave of mine, but to this day I hate the camera, and I hate that the button you use to spray is the same one to reset the god damn camera.
