Haha that is definitely me, but I think I'm going to go for it.

Glad to see others think that the Ghost at the end of the time limit was/is a terrible idea.

 
My friend just bought One Piece like a week ago for full price lol, so I'll be grabbing this on sale.

I'll consider Spelunky, though I'm sure it'll end up being free on PS+ in the near future.

 
For Vita people, don't forget to grab Gun Commando and Mononoke Slashdown from the PS Store in the PS Mobile section. They're free until the PSM store is updated Tuesday night.

There's also a new Vita FW out right now, 3.01, that you'll have to download first.

I pulled the trigger on FF14 Collectors Edition. $15 was just too good of a price even though I was gonna wait for the PS4 version. Tomorrow I'll be getting Spelnuky for sure.

 
The ghost is an integral part of Spelunky. You can't have Spelunky without the ghost. And she does serve a purpose you'll discover - not just there to kill you. Also she is slow and entirely predictable, though that doesn't stop her from being scary. Ha ha!

anyone get Ys chronicles I&II to work with vita? It says it works with vita but i cant transfer it. Ys seven and the other one transferred fine but this one wont for me for some reason. I had the same problem with Grandia... says it works with vita but it wont let me transfer. Is there some trick im missing, or do these NOT work with the vita despite the product description?

is this just from the vita itself or can you access this from the ps3 menu? I avoid d.loading anything directly to my vita after some problems i had early on that required me doing a full system reformat

I downloaded directly to my Vita with no problems. I see from your next post that you try to avoid that, but you may have to in this case.

 
So I am playing through Infamous: Festival of Blood for the first time and I can't help but think this is wholly inappropriate for the current season. The only 2 PS3 games I could think of set during Christmasy time were

Hitman HD Collection - Hitman Blood Money - Mission: You Better Watch Out

NiGHTS into Dreams - Unlockable Christmas NiGHTS levels

Any others or even those set during Winter? Trying to decide what to start next after Infamous.

Doesn't Bully have a Winter/Christmas part in it? I seem to remember the ugly sweater thing, but since I played it back on the PS2, I don't trust my memory.

Well Im not sure if its what your looking for, but Arkham Origins is set on Christmas eve/day.

Die Hard Trilogy? Metal Gear Solid is snowy, Max payne? This is a hard one lol. There are snow levels in Ni No Kuni, Marios, Animal crossing has seasonal stuff, but thats Nintendo. I can't think of any other game but Batman thats Christmas centric. Batman just screams Christmas though. Its in your face lol. its wonderful.

Does anyone know how to import Soul Sacrifice saved data from the demo to the full game? I've copied the data from online storage but it doesn't detect it. Either I need to have the demo on my Vita or I have to play through the beginning chapters again.

Yup, that's me 'winning' this week, had no idea Spelunky was on sale. Having said that, probably no need to grow my backlog further, at least that is what I keep telling myself. :dunce:​

I literally played Festival yesterday for the first time. I really enjoyed it. Short enough that I wanted to spend more time with it (even after all trophies) but not so short that I felt like I didn't get my money's worth. Can't imagine there are too many of us playing this for the first time three years after the fact. I also have to figure out what to start next.
 
NHL 14 is 15 bucks for plus members, that's incredibly cheap if you don't have it already. I already own it but might trade it in if I can get at least 25 for it from Gamestop. 

Just to make sure, if I make the switch from disc to digital, will it save everything like my HUT team and work fine with the digital version?

So I'm getting pretty far in Kingdom of Amalur which I got free with PS+.  There is a quest at the start of the game called "Long Overdue" where you have to collect 10 books scattered throughout the entire world.  I'm 75 hours into the game and have 3 million gold and finally collected the 10th book.  When I turned in the quest, my reward was 276 gold.  Wow, a 75 hour long quest for that?

it's serviceable for a handheld AC. it is a little janky at times, but it's fun. as long as you're not expecting the expanse of the console versions and you enjoy AC anyways you'll probably like it just fine. I'd like to take the HD rerelease for a spin to see how improved it is.

oh and the mutiplayer is literally the worst thing anyone has ever created ever. there was also a permanent save corrupting bug in the original version on the vita, so make sure you patch before you play.

Well there are nods to Christmas/New Years in the first Bioshock, and Skyrim is pretty much winter year round. The Last of Us goes through the seasons so Winter is also present there. A lot of MMOs have holiday themed events and of course Animal Crossing (it's not on PS3 though obviously). There aren't a whole lot of Christmas themed games that I can think of honestly, at least not ones that others haven't mentioned. Snow is pretty easy to come by though, so I can just trick myself into believing it's for Christmas/Winter ;)

I forgot about this. This is the absolutely best example of a horrible tacked on feature solely there to be a feature listed on the box. A true AC multiplayer component could have made this an awesome game. Even something like the fleet management mini-game in AC4 (which i'm really enjoying) would have been a nice addition and certainly an upgrade from the incoherent mess they included as Liberation multiplayer.
