Well, I guess it will be Dead Nation and Infamous because those are the two I don't have. I really would've preferred a flat credit, but I'll take what I can get. I fully expected Infamous as a free game so I held off on picking it up from BB last week.
Assuming I can take advantage of the PSP one, I guess LBP and MNR will the way to go.

Dead Nation is tempting, but am thinking I will grab Ratchet and Clank plus Wipeout.

Better than I was expecting :)

Thanks FriskyTanuki

Too bad no Ratchet for NA, think I will pick Super Stardust HD and Wipeout HD + Fury. PSN+ does me no good because after the free 30 days are up, all the content will become null.

Yeah, I would have definitely liked to have picked up Ratchet and Clank.

So getting to play two (maybe three) games for 30 days and free themes and avatars does you no good?

+2 for Ratchet. Ah well. I'm in for Dead Nation and Wipeout I suppose. Already own all but Dead Nation and the Wipeout DLC.

Also what about users with multiple accounts? I have like 5 PSN accounts so I could easily get them all I guess.

2 free months of PS+ is pretty damn sweet since I'm NEVER going to cancel my sub. Wish I could say this makes up for the catastrophe but I don't think anything ever will or could. Once my trust is gone it's virtually impossible to re-obtain and Sony has definitely lost it. I'm not saying that I'm unhappy with the goodies or that I will never buy another Sony product again. I am happy and this disaster has almost no effect on my buying habits. I just don't know how to feel about PSN's seemingly total lack of security. Going the gift card route here on out. I just wish I could find discounts on them once in a while to make it worth the lack of convenience.

i wonder if i can get the free PSP games through my PS3...i hope so since i don't have my account linked to my PSP...

personally im hoping that i can take advantage of the psn+ thing and get some of the ps1 games i was going to buy the paycheck before the psn went down for cheaper, since if i remember correctly you get them cheaper as a ps+ account.

Question: If I have a ps3 and a psp, how do I access these free games?

Ps3 = open psn using ps3.

Psp = open psn using media go.

Is this correct? Just making sure. Thanks in advance.

I have a question about the ps+ trial that sony's offering b/c psn was hacked. Normally, a ps+ user is able to purchase discounted games. After membership ends, he/she is able to keep the purchased games (not the free ones).

Will I be able to use this trial to buy ps+ discounted games and will they remain mine when the trial ends?

(note that i will NOT remain a ps+ member)

You get to keep anything you buy.

awesome. thanks.

Also,
Does littlebigplanet ps3 give you access to the user-created levels that were made since lbp2 came out or will we not be able to access any of the new user created levels?

You should be able to get them the same way as you normally could (PS3 = PS3, PSP = PS3, PSP, Media Go).

Yes, anything you purchase is yours to keep forever along with stuff like themes, avatars, and stuff like that.
me too. any word on whether lbp is goty version?
Asking the same question within 7 hours of the first time you posted it isn't going to get you an answer any faster. What exactly are you expecting to happen between the hours of 1am-7am? Nothing has been said about which version it is.

my bad... from where i am.. i asked between 3pm to 9pm..
sorry

i just backed up my lbp goty and all the dlc works with lbp2. even the mgs levels and all the costumes. the only thing that isnt included is the 18 community goty levels.

i bet it will work on lbp psn version. so i traded lbp goty and infamous (and shawnwhite snowboarding i got used at bestbuy for $5, lol) and got $40 back at gamestop. woot ;)

I'm very surprised and happy with Sony's "Welcome Back" program, however, I have a feeling I won't even be able to fit any of those games on my hard drive. Going out a buying an extra hard drive just for free games kind of kills this deal for me.

Except you'll need a bigger HDD anyway. And a 320GB drive can easily be found for $50 or less. May as well spend the $50 now and be set for years to come and get some free games to put on the new drive.

eh.. how did you back up your lbp goty? i've been trying to installed the DLC to my HDD but can't seem to find the option..
Yeah this is pretty much the point I'm at too.
I dont think you can lose either way. KZ on PSP is really interesting. Even though its isometric, the cover system is so well implemented that its almost as exciting as in first person.

LBP is an almost perfect translation. I think the only knock against LBP is that it keeps the floaty jumping.

I think in the end Id go for LBP, just because KZ is cheaper to get elsewhere.

I got a protip for ya! :bouncy:

you can download the games whenever you want, as long as they are on your past transactions list. so when the games become available, click on download and it will take you to a new screen, where you have to hit download again to start the process. If you just back out after the first time, it will be on your list and you can download whenever you want to play it.

while in your pod press start profile setting and it will say import profile or backup profile. just backup profile and it will work and keep all dlc with other lbp and lbp2 games. ;) just tried last nite and mgs trophies and everything work fine with lbp2. hopefully it works with online version, i dont see why not.

Has anyone played MNR or LBP for PSP? I already have both on the PS3, but are the handhelds versions worth getting? I like the console versions, but are the handheld versions any good?
Has anyone played MNR or LBP for PSP? I already have both on the PS3, but are the handhelds versions worth getting? It's very similar to the console version, but scaled down.

I would suggest everyone download the PSP games whether they own the portable system or not. The games can be transferred later if you get a PSP system and free is a great price.
Since my wife and I both have PSN accounts, does that mean we can download all the free games?
As long as they're wholly separate accounts I don't see why not.

I think the PSP version of LBP is pretty fun. It's like the PS3 version just smaller. All new levels too.

I think that's just you, just checked and it worked fine for me. Maybe make sure your connection is all set-up right?

That's funny, you little fibber. The PSN Store is DOWN. Sony will let us know when it will be available.

Yea the PSN STORE is down and sucks we don't when it will be up cause I need to Redeem my online pass

I'm pretty sure that he misread and thought he said the whole psn down and not just the store

a waste the community levels wouldn't get saved though
seems like i need to play my LBP a bit more
the DLC isn't appearing in my pod..

I never misread.
I just freaking want to be able to check that the $140 credit I had sitting in my wallet is still there.....
You and me both. I had about $90 in mine...

So, everyone gets Playstation plus for 30 days, right? Do we have to activate that or is it automatic. I just tried using the online storage function and it told me I had to have plus account. :(

What other benefits are there with PSN+ besides their specific free games/add-ons, which you can't keep after the 30 days unless you pay to renew?
