Anyone else notice that they put up DLC pack of the 7 Klassic MK Costumes + 3 Klassic Fatalities for only $4.99? So happy I sold off my two Classic Sub-Zero codes for $30+ each just after launch.

So I read somewhere that the Sonic Birthday Bundle listed as out on the PSN Store is actually not coming out until July 12.... Why list it now?
how long do I have to sign up for PS+ trial for 30 days? I have yet to sign up for PS+...
July 3rd. But the best time to sign up is Tuesday, June 28th in the morning. Sign up, get all the downloads you can before the store update. Then get more after the update. You will get 2 months worth of content if you do it that way.
Well that sucks, I own Marvel Pinball and want Zen Pinball. Why couldn't they just be $5 each?
Exactly. Also I noticed when going through my Marvel pinball trophies last night I had trophies listed for a Captian america table. I don't see such table avalible for purchase though.

Thanks for the advice. I am still holding out on mine.

So are these all the pre-order costumes? I just noticed this bundle earlier today. I saw costumes/portraits of Ermac, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Jade, Reptile, Mileena, and Scorpion. Also saw Skarlet as available to download.

What exactly does this Sonic bundle include?

I was told Sonic 1, 2, 4 (episode 1) and Adventure (with DX addition)

So it's $5 for 1 and 2 each, $15 for 4.1, $10 for Adventure, and $5 for the DX add on.

For all of them at normal is $40, so half for all that seems to be $20.

Won't this happen if I sign up today since they will overlap or is there something special about doing it on the 28th. I am mostly wanting to wait because of the Uncharted beta.

The European blog says it's coming out tomorrow, which is also Sonic's 20th anniversary. The Generations demo comes out then too, which expires on July 12th.

The Playstation Plus offerings have been really weak lately. If they wanted to get people to sign up for the service, this isn't going to do it.

Agreed. I've been holding out to activate mine in order to get the most out of it but there hasn't been anything yet I'm even remotely interested in.

This.

I bet the only reason the PSN+ is weak right now is because everyone has it for free. As soon as everyone loses it I'm hoping the paying members will get some awesome stuff.

I think his point is that PS Plus updates bi-weekly, with the next update coming on the 28th. If you sign up in the morning you get the current set of deals, which expire on the 28th, the two updates during your month, and then the update that occurs on the evening your sub expires. In total, its 4 updates.

Since the updates are bi-weekly and you get 30 days, the timing doesnt have to be quite so exact, but you get the idea.

Seems odd. You'd think that they'd offer tons of free stuff to encourage people to continue the sub and keep the games. All theyve done is offer meh discounts on meh games.

Some of those deals were probably pulled by publishers or Sony after the hack, like the Ubisoft deals that were announced before it happened.

Which would be a stupid move on their part. You want to promote your product while people are using it, give them a reason to sign up for a full year.

Aren't all those except Mahjong and Lab Rat recycled deals from the last few weeks?

Edit: Nevermind they've been ongoing and are coming down July 5th.

Yep, all the preorder costumes and fatalities bundled together for $4.99. I had a feeling they'd do something like this, though not so cheaply. That's why I sold the ones I had originally. Amazingly, the codes are still going for > $10 each on ebay.

I downloaded Skarlet and played through to her ending. She's fun, and brutal as hell. If you don't plan on DLing her, you can still get a compatibility pack that allows you to play against her online. It also includes free MK3 costumes of Cyrax and Sektor.

Absolutely.

Still, the pinball bundle is pretty great. Plus I'm a junkie for Streets of Rage 2 so I can't complain too much. I do miss the half price import PSOne games though.

Do you need to have PS+ activated before Uncharted 3 beta hits to be in it or can you wait until after June 28th to activate and still be in the beta?

The price for the Rockstar pass has gone up to 11.99 at Gamestop and on the PSN store, but I just checked and Amazon has the PS3 codes still for 9.99.

Thanks for the heads up... I was bummed I missed the sale (first I didn't have the game, then I got the game, but forgot about the sale until 4am on the 22nd... of course by then the price had gone up. Grabbed a code from Amazon, thanks!

I just started looking into PS3 DLC sales... any current deals on Pre-paid cards?

They are NEVER on sale which sucks. Also would love for a PS+ sale once in a damn while

That sonic pack isn't a bad deal if you don't own Sonic 4 and Sonic Adventure since both would retail for $25 plus you get the others. Sonic 1 and 2 can be found on other collections easily so it's not worth it for those alone.

Apparently PS+ members are getting Bomberman Ultra for free next month.

PlayStation Plus Highlights for July 5th:

Featured Games & DLC

 • Bomberman ULTRA (Free with Plus, a $9.99 value)
 • Me Monstar: Hear Me Roar (Free and Exclusive Plus)
 • Medievil PS one title (Free with Plus, a $5.99 value)
 • Qore July Episode 38 – Single Episode (Free with Plus, a $2 .99 value)
 • MotorStorm Apocalypse Outlaw Vehicle Pack (PlayStation Plus price $1.99; a 20% discount)

Anyone have any thoughts on it?
They are NEVER on sale which sucks. Also would love for a PS+ sale once in a damn while
It's because, unlike MS, they use REAL money. So there isn't any leeway for discounts. Call it good or bad but because MS uses carnival funny money they can offer discounts on their points cards. Sony can't do it because that would be like selling you a one dollar bill for .50 cents.

But about this Sonic bundle, where is Sonic 3? I know it's on Xbox Live? It seems dumb to have a bundle with no Sonic 3 or Knuckles.
Probably gonna redeem my PS+ on the 28th to play the UC3 beta. I could wait and get in another update but whatever.
If we redeem on the 28th maybe we can get in the last July update too, for 1 day.

PSN cards have been on sale before. They were on sale at Target last year for $17 ($20) value. Hopefully we get another sale this year.

Is there a time limit on when we can redeem the "welcome back" PS+?? I've been holding off, but of course don't want to miss using it either.
