Is there a time limit on when we can redeem the "welcome back" PS+?? I've been holding off, but of course don't want to miss using it either.
I think it's July 3rd. Might be off by a day or two, but pretty sure I read the 3rd.

That Sonic bundle seems good for the price. I'm wondering if I should get it. I already have the first two games on various systems including the PS3. But I haven't played Episode 1 yet and I never really played much of Sonic Adventure.
PSN cards have been on sale before. They were on sale at Target last year for $17 ($20) value. Hopefully we get another sale this year.
I may kick myself for saying this, but whenever I plan on buying DLC, I just check the trading forum. Ive gotten $20 cards for as low as $16, but usually around $18. The trading forum also means you may have the option to trade instead of using cash.

Looks like I'll finally get Sonic 4 Episode 1 through the Sonic's Birthday Bundle. Not a bad deal, considering that Sonic 4 is like $14.99 by itself.

It is like spending $5 more for Sonic 1, 2, and Adventure DX. I have those three already on various consoles, but not in digital form or on my PS3.

Edit: Yeah, Sonic 3 and Knuckles should be included. I'd substitute that instead of Sonic Adventure's DX content.
It's because, unlike MS, they use REAL money. So there isn't any leeway for discounts. Call it good or bad but because MS uses carnival funny money they can offer discounts on their points cards. Sony can't do it because that would be like selling you a one dollar bill for .50 cents.

But about this Sonic bundle, where is Sonic 3? I know it's on Xbox Live? It seems dumb to have a bundle with no Sonic 3 or Knuckles.
Sonic 3 And Knuckles is pc XBLA only in this bundle

PC Download

Sonic 20th Anniversary bundle only $14.97

Bundle includes:
Sonic 3D Blast™
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine™
Sonic Spinball™
Sonic the Hedgehog™
Sonic the Hedgehog™ 2
Sonic 3 & Knuckles™

I wouldn't if you own the first 2 games because eventually they will bundle all the episodes for Sonic 4 for cheap.
Apparently PS+ members are getting Bomberman Ultra for free next month.

Anyone have any thoughts on it?
I don't know what to say other than it's bomberman. It has a lot of different modes, I guess. Wish we were getting something else, since I already have it. Win some, lose some. I'm excited about Medievil though.
Sigh, why can't they just discount Sonic 4? I don't need the other shit.
Sonic 4 was already on sale just 2 or 3 months ago.

It's the same as Bomberman Live! on XBLA, but I believe all the DLC is integrated.
No.
just curious, what are the limitations with the game... that is, what exactly does the DRM do.

For example, with warhawk, only 1 ps3 could access the game within a 24 period? What does the DRM on this do?

It does the exact same thing if you attempt to game share. You also need to be logged into your PSN account to play thus requiring you have an internet connection going anytime you want to play it and why it was unplayable when the network was down.

Beyond that the game can't even be played on other accounts on the same system the game was purchased on. I haven't heard anything about a 24 hour window being an issue with this game.

This section of the WB program FAQ kinda worries me:
Q: How long do I have to get into the PlayStation Store and receive my content for Welcome Back?
A: Access to the Welcome Back content will be expiring on July 3.
I wonder if they plan on removing the WB games from your downloaded games list and if the ones you've downloaded to your PSP/PS3 become corrupted then you're SOL n would have to buy them.

Can't find any reliable info on it but does anyone know if I can use PayPal for PSN? I have like $3 bucks in my PSN wallet and $4 bucks on my PayPal and would like to add the PayPal money onto my PSN wallet to get Tetris. Thankies.

I don't believe so

There's a tool in the paypal stuff that allows you to generate a credit card number linked to your paypal account. Simply do that, then add it to your PSN acccount.

Really? Where?

How's Stardust HD? How long is it and how's the replay value?

I'm deciding between Stardust HD and Infamous. I bought Infamous brand new for $10 and wondering if I should just sell it and get the free download, or keep the Infamous disc and get Stardust HD instead.

The other WB free download I will probably get is Dead Nation. Heard good things about it.

Can't find the credit card generator on PayPal, ah well. I'll try to look for it some more but I think I'll just use a GameStop gift card to get a PSN card there. Anyone know if GameStop taxes PSN cards if you buy it online?

Super Stardust HD is the best dual-stick shooter of this generation. It's arcade-style, so it's as long and replayable as you want it to be. Try out the demo to see for yourself.

I believe they do. I know they taxed me when I bought a 1600 MSP card, so I can imagine they'd do the same for a PSN card.

Keep the Infamous disc and get Stardust. There's a demo for Stardust if you want to try it. It's awesome. IGN just rated it as the 2nd best PSN game. You won't get much for selling Infamous anyway.
The Paypal credit card generator has been discontinued for almost a year now. It's no longer available.
Thanks. I'll just add that $5 paypal money to XBL. I'll just grab a PSN card from GS.

I got my eye on Shatter but not sure if I should wait for it to go on sale. Or did I already miss it?
I got my eye on Shatter but not sure if I should wait for it to go on sale. Or did I already miss it?
It was on sale in January for $4.

You don't get the xpacs with SSHD, and they're pretty hefty pieces of content.

iF trades in w/ extra 50% @ GS for $15 so I guess it's how badly you wanna play iF... you could easily just skip the first and play iF2.

So the last day of welcome back is July 3rd right. Or is July 3rd the first day with no welcome back program. I want to sign up for PS+ at the very last day possible.

im pretty sure you can tell them to remove the tax on PSN cards. Ha if ve a manager override if it comes up. Never did at my gamestop though.

It is considered a gift card and tax is added to your purchase on PSN, double taxing you is illegal.

So I bought the sonic pack. The NEW sonic 4, episode 1 is freaking awesome (and I have a sony xbr 3d tv) and the 3d rocks on it.

On a side note, I am pissed about the pinball games. I bought them both at full price (and yes, they are so totally worth it) but I wish I would of waited a week. Man....

There's an expiration date for those with known dates in the OP, so anything without a date will at least be until a week after the latest date that's listed and will be announced by Sony beforehand.
