Don't buy it. I bought it back a few months ago when it was $3 and it is HORRIBLE

It's a neat little puzzle platformer that works well with Move. Nothing amazing, but $3 is what I paid for it before.

On a side note, sucks that the new activation rule did kick in for Uncharted 3 seasons pass :(, screwed a lot of groups over
what activation rule is that? and who does it screw over?

The 2 activations per item instead of 5.

And it screws over people who brought in on the season pass before it was announced through gamesharing on this site.

Eh, people shouldn't have gamed Sony's good-will in the first place. Makes legitimate users suffer.

That makes no sense. Sony just wants more sales, plain and simple.

Damn I was just about to buy NBA JAM on fire edition when I saw this thread. Now it looks like it's not on sale anymore. Can anybody confirm this or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Do buy it. I bought it back a few months ago when it was $7 and it is AWESOME.

It had kind of weird controls (I think R1 was jump) but im pretty sure they patched it to have normal controls. Its a really fun, braid-lite puzzle game.

Yeah, I'm sure the plethora of game sharers had nothing to do with this.

It's not. Back to regular price.

Some good stuff in the 12 for '12. Most of the stuff I would want I already own, but I did pick up Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken and played a few chapters. A pretty weird but quite enjoyable action platformer. It takes a lot of inspiration from things like Flashback and Out of this World. Some pretty great music tracks and cool cut scenes as well. I saw there was a demo, so I'd say check that out if you're interested.

I feel like it got almost no coverage anywhere, the only reason I knew anything about it was because of this Giantbomb video: http://www.giantbomb.com/what-it-is-rocketbirds-hardboiled-chicken/17-4941/

Rochard comes highly recommended from me, what a great little physics-y puzzle platformer. Pixeljunk Sidescroller is pretty short (more of a score chasing game) but fun. I had a good time with Bloodrayne, even though the controls take a little getting used to; that game starts getting pretty damn tough in the second half, so be warned. Gorgeous game, though!
Got PS+, so NeoGeo Station might be worth it. I haven't downloaded anything from SNK yet.
Got shock troopers myself so far. Well worth the $3.59.
I enjoyed the Xbox version of Hydrophobia and this new revised version is pretty cheap. Can anyone who played both comment on this one?
i bought it for xbla and got it for free with psn plus

i played about a half hour of the psn version, all i can say is they changed the music and i didn't like that

Will anyone give me a PS plus month code? i really want to buy payday, but dont have enough for 30 percent off. thanks!
I enjoyed the Xbox version of Hydrophobia and this new revised version is pretty cheap. Can anyone who played both comment on this one?
I bought Hydrophobia Pure and then played Prophecy when it was free on PS+. Prophecy is a lot more polished and playable, several new sections and gameplay alterations, and it has an actual end boss fight. The game's villain is a lot more "present," meaning her intentions are clearer in this version, and I think she has more dialogue.

The framerate is still not perfect, but I had a good time with the game.
Anyone own the SNK games? How close to the arcade originals are they?
I grew up playing most of those games in the arcade. I just bought Metal Slug 1 & 2 and I really can't tell the difference (if there is any), they are still pretty solid games, just like in the old days.
If anyone missed it, there wil snk neogeo games on PSN will be sale.

http://www.platformnation.com/2012/01/17/snk-playmore-included-in-the-january-psn-sale/

I grew up living about 2-3 hrs a day in arcades back in the days and neogeo games were one of the most played cabinet for me. Although I do see the list of the games on sale and while mostly they are first gen francise for better part, there are some game worth checking out. Only better reason to get this version on ps3 is they have online multiplayer. Don't know how many ppl playing and how robust the communities are.

Ill buy

Art of fighting , kof95,96, metalslug1,2
Here in Peru, in the mid 90's, The King of Fighters franchise was way bigger and more popular than Street Fighter.
I still remember those KOF tournaments, they were a huge thing in my city, with groups of players from all the arcades participating... the arcades were a great place to spend time with your buddies.
I was more a Marvel player... X-Men COTA, Marvel Super Heroes (my all-time favorite fighting game), X-Men vs Street Fighter and the rest of the Vs series. It would be amazing if Capcom decide to make an "ARCADE Collection" of all this great games.
lol it just took 15 min to download 2 mb of the starhawk demo. sony is fucking terrible.
Nah. It's just likely that everybody n their uncle is attempting to download the demo/beta at the same time. You should likely give it at least a couple of days unless you wanna sit there for hours waiting for the whole demo to download.:)

Anyway, I just downloaded the Cheapy D character/homie for Saint's Row 3. I think maybe I'll pop the game in and see how helpful he is in the game.

I think they did it to prevent people from sharing PS+ benefits, COD Elite, UC Fortune Hunter memberships, plus potential future season passes on other games. Imagine 5 people sharing these memberhips @ $5-$10 per person. They would basically get everything PSN has to offer plus Free content for a year on there favorite games.

Either way gamesharing has its risks, especially right now where its possible for anyone who has access to the gameshared account to login via PC to deactivate all PS3s attached to the account rendering all games/dlc downloaded on the hard drive locked out the moment your PS3 goes online.

I usually don't sony-bash and i prefer the playstation platform over xbox but their network is always atrocious. In fact, most of their decisions baffle me. They've released numerous playstation-ish phones/tablets over the past two years (all of which are terrible). They launch a new unpocketable portable w/ the vita.

They should fix their network/store instead. Would it kill them to concentrate on making one great android phone (a la nexus one) w/ full psn support and reiterate each 1-2 years like the iphone? You know, have a great playstation network across a few great devices instead of releasing loads of garbage that no one will buy?

The 12 for '12 Sale has finally given me a reason to use the 1-yr PS+ card I picked up for $15 last year. Time to grab SideScroller.

Download speeds weren't too bad for me tonight, got Strangers Wrath (3GB) and Rocketbirds and PJ Sidescroller.

Only one I've played so far is PJ, its fun and I feel it's worth $4.89. However, any complaints you may hear about it lacking content are true. I should be able to beat casual mode in 45-60 mins, and then I'll probably go back and play through Normal, just to feel like I got my money's worth. I don't see myself attempting it on Hard/Brutal, I just have too many games in my backlog to justify playing any game through 4 times. I can definitely understand IGN's review that there's just not enough content to justify it's $10 price tag, and if I had bought it at $10 (or even $8) I would have been disappointed.

Also, the trophy layout does not do a good job of making me want to go back and play the game on harder difficulties. I can get all but 2 bronzes on the casual setting.

I just downloaded ~6GB off PSN in under two hours (was watching TV, just switched it back to PS3, and everything was done). I don't think it's PSN.

Dunno, my PSN always randomly takes forever too.

Took me about 20 minutes to get a 500 MB download earlier, i can easily do 1-2 gigs in the same amount of time on Xbox Live.

I dont think its my port settings or anything, since everything else works perfectly fine.

Allot of it has to do with PSN... It is slower than XBL, Steam, or pretty much anyone else...

That said I did just download the new Uncharted 3 map pack in about 3 minutes time. (313 MB.)

I have no problem with PSN's download speed on day that isn't Tuesday.

I think on update day, people are just overloading their servers grabbing everything new that it bogs down quite a bit.

It's usually slowest when it goes up around 7PM EST and then gets better as the night rolls and then it's absolutely fine the day after.

Or so I've observed.

I picked up Payday: The Heist. I was very interested in this game before it was released, I just didn't have the $20 to drop on it at the time. Under $10 is great for me. I can't wait to play it on Friday night!

Dammit, I was hoping not to spend any more money this week, but I guess I'll have to pick it up. Thanks for the feedback.

Baseball 1 and 2 on neogeo were way ahead of its time. We're talking early nineties here. First one I must say it feel more of a game even capable on snes. Not that good. But the second one aged really well. Huge character sprites, it's very fun to steal bases, pitching and hitting the baseball is nicely well recreated in a fun way for early nineties.

Can't forget to mention when it comes to baseball video game, hitting the baseball has to fun, and this game does that. I could remember old arcade game from konami called 'bottom of the ninth' and second ken Griffey jr snes game(first one was good), those game sucked because it's wasn't fun hitting the baseball. So get the second one. I will too, now, it maybe hard to find another player to play against online
