Was looking forward to Matterfall but the mixed reviews mean I'll wait until it goes on sale. Was never really into Sonic much after 2 but Mania looks really fun.

Also going to hold off on Matterfall. Am a Sonic fan so easy choice there. And am considering Undertale, so in some ways am glad Matterfall isn’t getting stellar reviews.

I'm mostly the opposite. I've cleared the main islands and have done maybe 80% of the challenges [enough that everything is unlocked, but still have a lot to do] and have 80% of the collectibles. I've barely advanced the story. I've done most of the superhard challenges....

One thing I really appreciate is that the challenges really do 'make you get good'... the first time i tried a wingsuit challenge I was like 'nope, not even going to worry about a platinum'... but now I could probably do that one with my eyes shut. That said, there are definitely some -hard- ones, one in particular took hours to get.

I do not understand the hate this game gets. The slowdowns are rare and, given the amount of destruction on screen, understandable. It's never been an issue.
I am fine with the the wingsuit challenges because they just take practice and skill. The ones that irritate me are the destruction frenzies since most of the time you have no chance in hell of getting 5 gears with the weapon you're given. You basically have to hope there's a helicopter nearby or search for a good method on YouTube.

Thanks for the replies. I have tons to play but damn that trial got me. It was lots of fun.

Lords of the Fallen consistently goes on sale for like $3, wouldn't surprise me if The Surge got there eventually. I really enjoyed the demo as well but I can't justify the purchase right now considering I bought Bloodborne last December and have only played about 2 hours of it and bought Lords of the Fallen last time it was on sale and have yet to install it. Not to mention I want to get the rest of the achievements/trophies I am missing in Demon's Souls (need another full playthrough) and Dark Souls 2 (need another 1.5 playthroughs). I just have too much of this style of game to play right now haha.

An OK sale for sure. Some decent deals in there like Danganronpa 1/2 Reload and Ultra Despair Girls for PS4. BTW is the PS4 version of Ultra Despair Girls that much better than the Vita version? I will likely pick up FF7, since I missed the last time it was on sale.

Playing Persona 5 now and don't have the strength to pick up another RPG. That being said, I will buy Undertale immediately after finishing Persona.

I only played the Vita version and that has framerate drops.

I realize Undertale is an indie game but thought when it was announced (at E3?) that it was coming to PS4 there was a lot of hype and people excited about it.

Is anyone else here buying it? Again, I honestly don’t know a whole lot about it due to not a lot being revealed in reviews but has some really high praise out there (Destructoid gave it a 10/10).

It seems to be a smartly written jrpg style rpg. It's about 8 hours so expect mostly to experience different takes on the traditional game design and much less grinding and character building. I've watched a couple of videos on it and decided to order based on discount/crossplay/dynamic theme. Games like Undertale that get a 10/10 don't get it because it's great but because it agrees with the reviewer's worldview. I'd expect a smartly written game that's going to feel and play like something made by a small team.

If I have Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN and enjoy it fairly enough, is it worth picking up REVELATOR? I haven't played SIGN in a while but for $6 I'll probably bite unless someone can convince me otherwise.

Undertale on PS4 is a good choice for people who want to play a good game and get an easy platinum while you're at it. Managed to get the platinum for it in less than 3 hours.

There is Rev2 now though, and I think all of Rev is in Rev2, though you can get Rev1 and get the $20 upgrade as well. I believe a free balance patch is soon. You know how it is with these games....new version comes out with usually more balancing/characters and sometimes more story (usually only reason I play older versions....I like the story modes).

Well, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s just the reviewer. The game is huge on Steam. It has 95% positive from over 70,000 reviews. I’ve also heard it’s quite original and has an emotional hook — hence the reason for not much detail in the reviews due to spoilers.

Like I said there was some hype when it was announced for PS4. Just haven’t seen many people posting about it here.

Played Ultra Despair on PS4 only didn't notice any framerate issues. Performance wise it was fine.

If I have a save file for the physical version of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir on Vita, it should work with the digital version, right? I'm tempted to get the digital copy for $16.

Really?! Interesting!
Yeah it's really easy to get it. Half of the trophies are just donating gold to this dog shrine and the other half are just reaching certain points in the game that you'll reach by just playing the game. You'll get the platinum before you even finish the game.

Is there a huge difference between the PS4 and Vita version of Odin Sphere? Thinking about getting the Vita version for the portability.

Just saw the price for Danganronpa Reload. If you have even a passing interest in the series I can't recommend it hard enough. Played through all of the games as they've came out on PS4 this year and it's slowly becoming one of my favorite series.

I don't recall much, if any, slowdown during my time with the Vita version, and I think the only real difference is slightly sharper graphics on PS4. Personally, I think it's perfect on Vita.

Thanks for the input! Was thinking about grabbing the physical version for $30, but $16 digital sounds better. Will go for it then.

I'm a graphics whore and think Odin Sphere on PS4 is gorgeous. I also have a hard time playing pure action games on the Vita, such as Spelunky and Dragon's Crown. I find the PS4 controller superior, but that's just me. They play fine on the smaller screen at least and this Odin Sphere remake is a game worth playing.

Yeah that's how I feel. I love playing Dragon's Crown on the vita since we got it with PS+, but I would have preferred it for the PS4 due to all the button pressing that you have to do. I'll have to think it through before jumping :whistle2:k , wished it was cross buy

That bundle could be a lot better, but Evolve, is it worth the $1

I mean it's only $1 but idk, mixed reviews about it.
Easily one of my most regretted purchases at full price. I got a few days of play out of it, but I never had a lot of fun. Some people had a blast with it, but i'm not even sure how active the multiplayer is anymore.

That was my question. I know they've adjusted it a bunch, but is there anyone there anymore? I'll give it a shot since I want Civ. Revolution anyway.

Cool bundle, I was only going to buy the $1 version cause I've played/own most of what I care about in the BTA but my brother who recently got a PS3 hasn't played any of that stuff so it was worth it. Pretty sure he would get way into Borderlands if he played it.

The $1 tier is really cool though imo. xcom seems like a great fit for the vita (not sure how good the port is but as long as it doesn't constantly crash that's fine with me). I played 100 hours or so of civ rev on the 360 so I'd love to try out the second game. And while it's not popular I also really loved xcom declassified but I couldn't finish it because my PC just couldn't run it at a steady frame rate so this gives me a chance to play it elsewhere.

In a bad mood after Trump’s latest repugnant remarks, so what am going to do to blow off steam? Blow some money. Going to get Danganronpa Reload and Undertale. Need more things to take my mind off the real world.

Don't stimulate the economy! Hoarde that digital currency. That will show him.

Played the first level of Matterfall and that's a game that is mechanically complex early on, so I'm still getting the hang of what's going on. It's not too far from what Outland was trying to do, as far as being a traditional-looking, side-scrolling shooter with a twist that is designed to trip you up. Instead of having colored bullets shooting around where you have to keep switching your characters color to avoid bullets, you've got platforms that need to be shot to materialize and sliding/jump boost mechanics that make it some nearby enemies can be shot. All while having scores, timed runs, and other tracked stats to determine how well you played through a level. The cool thing is that the announcer from Resogun and Nex Machina is back again to give you important updates through the controller speaker, though she doesn't speak much here as she did in Resogun and Nex Machina.

Right now, I'd probably say that I like Nex Machina more, but that game is an evolutionary descendant of Super Stardust and Resogun that is more my jam than Matterfall coming from the Outland lineage. Still need to play more to see how it evolves.

That bundle could be a lot better, but Evolve, is it worth the $1

I mean it's only $1 but idk, mixed reviews about it.
Wasn't it going to be sort of re-launched as a Free to Play title? Perhaps that will reinvigorate the multiplayer a bit, but also it would mean it would be Free to Play soon, so, decidedly not worth $1 (unless original purchasers get some perks I guess).

Unfortunately I didn't keep my PS3, otherwise the bundles are all fantastic.

I hope Odin Sphere PS4 will be cheap like the PS2 version in a year or so.
