That's true. Shipwreck's the only person I've ever heard pronounce OS as "Oss", as in rhyming with boss. Cheapy and Wombat are obvious because they say "Mary-o" instead of Mario like normal people.

 
Only have three more Unit 13 missions to five star and I just watched some videos on them so it'll be pretty easy.  Just that, one more HVT, and then maxing out my operatives for the plat.  Should probably get it tomorrow, depending on how bored I get maxing them out.

I can't make get any high ratings past the second mission after the training missions. I am so glad I got it for free. For some reason I suck horribly at Unit 13.

I enjoyed Ico, but I won't deny a lot of aspects of it were really tedious and even dull at times. I appreciate it for its originality and artistic merit, but as a game I'd find it hard to disagree with people who dislike it.

SotC on the other hand is amazing, and I will be the first to tell someone hating on it that they have terrible taste in everything (though in all likely hood Jay will have already done that for different reasons).

You're a pretty shitty villain. If there were a movie about the CAG superhero (we'd need a real kiss ass to play the hero, so it'd probably be Tyler) you would be the 4th string villain who gets thwarted in the first 10 minutes for comic relief. Then years later, sites would make a slideshow where they count down the shittiest villains, and you'd be number one.

SotC was better than Ico. Still not great though. I feel like 95% of people like these games because they're cool to like. And if you make mention of how shitty they look, or how the controls are fucking terrible, then "you don't get it".

You don't get it.

It doesn't matter how shitty it looks, or how awful the controls are, because it's about the atmosphere. Also the lazy, nonexistent story is a masterpiece. I love how they left it so fucking open to interpretation that it can literally mean anything I want it to mean. I realize that this is a cop out and just a lazy method of crafting a story, but it's fucking awesome because everyone else likes it too!

Yeah I'd be an awesome CAGhero.

You just don't get SotC. Using the Triangle button to jump just makes so much sense. I mean, why use a button your fingers rest on for a vital function when you can map it to TRIANGLE!

 
I can't decide what to play.  Maybe I'll go for the Ico platinum.  That combat of swinging a stick at weird shadows.  So good!  You guys just don't get it.

I hate deals like this. They're rarely retroactive, which is a slap in the face to early adopters. I bought a Vita at launch, now I have to deal with customer service to see if I can get in on the deal. Maybe I can get a Best Buy gift card out of it.

It's not much of a big deal, there wasn't really that much of a difference between the demo (level cap of 500) and just buying the base game of Defiance with no DLC. You get the ability to get more skill trees then you would ever need instead of having to specialize in one or two of the four (you could always respec if you wanted to try a different playstyle). Levels mean not much since all the enemies in the world are of similar difficulty except for the bosses. It all a pointless grind in order to become more efficient killing bosses for loot so that you can more efficiently kill the same boss for slightly better loot.

The challenge room DLC is decently fun, it's a nice mixture of jump puzzles, precision puzzles, and fights. It also has a tiny bit of extra story. I regret buying the suit pack though. It's only really useful if you buy it to use during the course of your playthrough (and I bought it after I had already finished the game twice) to assist in certain fights or for more variety.

 
BTW the Vita I ordered is my 2nd. I already have a fat. I'll tie the slim to my EU account to burn through my games over there without having to do the shitty card swap game. -_-

shadows? I always thought of them as smoke creatures tbh. The fun for me doesn't come from the combat but rather just dragging yorda around the castle like a ragdoll.

I feel like I should defend the last guardian here and say it will be awesome but I at this point I don't know if the game will ever get released. Its been years since they announced it and no new info has surfaced since then.

Also ico and sotc are both boring as fuck. I loved ico when I played it when it came out for ps2. I was a schmuck.
 
Last Guardian if it ever comes out will be a 10/10 Game of the Year masterpiece.

It may not be that good but it will be the darling of the critics.

 
Guess it comes as little surprise I enjoyed Ico. It does suffer from all the problems you guys mention. Clumsy controls. Combat is trash. Weird puzzles. But I loved the subdued story and (#snakey_voice) dat ending doe. Really glad I stuck with it. Worth noting it was originally designed for PS1 so that might explain some things. Have no thoughts on SotC since that's a sensitive subject for some.
