So... yes, the community is still there. It looks like there's some kind of option to actually pay for a dedi server if you have a clan (or money to spend) and so there are both official and 'custom' servers.

What I've learned so far: My godlike skill back in the day at BF2 is not carrying over automatically... so much to remember and relearn. And it's hard, because I play TLOUR MP all the time so going from something I've mastered to something I'm a total newb at hurts. Though at least I 'sort of' know what I"m doing since i used to play a lot.

My only issue so far is that all my BF2/3 buddies with mics aren't around, so it's still a silent game [whereas I've made lots of TLOUR mic friends].

Thanks for response, greatly appreciated. I think you may have convinced me to give it a shot. I bought BF4 for the PS4 launch, but it was a disaster at that time & I pretty much gave up on it right away rather than bang my head against a wall in frustration. I've been looking forward to getting back into it over the past year or so once it became clear they fixed it & figured if/when I did I'd need to get the Premium version. This looks to be the right combo deal to bring the price point in line with something I can stomach. It's good to know the servers are still populated. I'm guessing it's going to be rough on a noob like me at first, but I'm not too worried about it...the k/d ratio takes care of itself if you have enough time to play here & there & gradually learn the maps. I'm going to suck hard at first but it should still be fun. lol Thanks for the info!

GOod to hear. I hope it makes it too. I never did back it though since i their tiers kinda sucked and i didn't see an option for a physical copy. I really dont do digital. The game itself though looked beautiful and was quite fun to play

Does that Jackbox Party Pack ever go on sale?  I think I want to pick up a copy for the holidays since I think Drawful would make a fun family game, just wondering if it is likely to go on sale.

I could get it on Steam not from Bundlestars for $12.49 and there is a 10% off coupon on top of that.  Might go that route and just hook up a laptop to the TV.

It was on sale twice this year: in February for $10, and in August for $7.75. No real way to know whether it'll be on sale in the next few weeks unless the publisher gives a heads up, but it's possible!
 
I figured out almost too late just what the problem was with those who were having trouble checking out. There was something wrong with the payment system, and you couldn't purchase anything with a debit card. I couldn't even add funds from my Vita.

I had twelve dollars in my wallet, so I just added about $13 worth of content to my cart, and with the 10 percent discount I was able to check out just fine.
 
My haul for the week, made good use of the 20% coupon that came with my PS4:

I also got the Dying Light base game for $15 from the Walmart sale.  I know that the Diablo price was a bit high, but the addition of the 20% coupon, and the fact that I got my PSN credit at a discount made it pretty much equivalent to the physical price.  So for under $100 I got 6 full games, nearly all of them GOTY/complete versions.  Not bad.

 
I wonder if we will get more free games because of the Playstation experience event this year.  Last year was PvZ: Garden Warfare (PS4), Mirror's Edge (PS3) and NFS: Most Wanted (Vita).  The event is happening this weekend.

sonys 2nd anniversary was in november also ps4 there bound give us an good aaa free bone i hope.

 
Thats sweet, I can play Bioshock on PS4 with the PS Now subscription pass that is coming with my DS4.
As for the event, I'd be dying for some free games. :)
 
Big Fest looks like a music festival version of Roller Coaster Tycoon. If it ends up being like that, it will become a new addiction on my Vita.

It is a very by the numbers, 6hr long movie.
Literally some chapters are nothing but an ingame cutscene and you cannot turn off the horrible letter boxing which really gets in the way.

I purchased it more as a time piece to later show people, but little more than that.

Yup. I just did it last week and the transfer takes forever if you have a full hard drive already. Something like six hours for the initial transfer and then one and a half to two to put it back on the system once the new hard drive was installed.

Yeah. Same as upgrading a PS3. One big enough to backup the current drive... one for the actual upgrade and then recover from the backup.

On PS3 I had to download firmware ... same has to be done with PS4... there are instructions on one of sony's websites...

Granted when I did my PS3 my backup failed during the recovery process... but I had my saves backed up to the cloud and just looked at it as an opportunity to start out with a clean system rather than putting the old drive back in and doing another mega long backup burning another day without the system.

Leaning toward the latter. fuckers won't let me do it this month because the month already started. So stupid.

Dangs you guys are making me not want to upgrade my HD. Worst part is I have another PS4 which I would like to pass all the info I have on this one so I have to do it twice

One small note that if you have P.T, and want to keep it, that the backup hard drive option is the only way to do so since its no longer downloadable.

I wish there was a way to delete PT from my library. I "purchased" it online before I had a PS4 and it's just irritating seeing it there since I cannot actually download it.

 
So I guess Rocketbirds does not work on PSTV. Anyone know if there are touch or accelmeter controls in the gameplay that would have prevented them from making it compatible?

Did the ps2 classic of GTA SA get replaced with the updated port? So do I get the new one for free?

 
Looks like the PS2 Classics version of GTA: San Andreas was delisted with the release of the new "remastered" version. It's not Cross Buy unless they're still working on it.

No. Looks like a new listing or else it would have shown as free for me.

That said, I'm actually VERY happy about that because I've read a lot of negative stuff about the iOS version, what happened to the Steam version, and so on... so I'll take the old PS2 original instead.

I just need to check my download history when I get home and make sure it's still there and no funny business is going on.

Looks like so far it's a bunch of Disney games including some classic Disney PS1 stuff and the PSP Persona games.  Oh and a few random other games.  But that may just be for something else.

It's interesting seeing this go live.

 
Anyone know if you still have to do the whole cross save thing to transfer your things from the ps3 version of both Borderlands to the ps4 version? Got the Handsome Collection but I got pretty far on the ps3. Don't know if it got fixed with a patch to do it automatically or something.
