There are 3 free pieces of DLC for The Surge which add new enemies, new armor, and several extra weapons to the game.
Cutting Edge Pack - Adds 3 new enemy types, each with a unique armor set and weapon
Fire & Ice Weapon Pack - Give 5 fire based weapons and 5 ice based weapons to enemies in the game, which you can dismember to collect.
Cobalt Control Rod - Start with this staff weapon in your inventory.

edit: forgot about one more free DLC, the Creo PS04 Limited Rig is cosmetic DLC that lets you change the look of the exoskeleton to a blue and black color pattern.

I guess I was more looking at the fact that Sony isn't exactly stretching all that money bandwidth they now have to give out good games if this is the best they could come up with this month.

It was tied to PS+, It had the normal discount for everyone above 50% (I think it was like 66% or something) and then instead of putting in a slightly higher discount for PS+ people, they accidentally retyped in the same number as the normal discount so the % discount was greater than 100% and it displayed as something like "-34%" off, making the game bundle free to purchase.

We're all in agreement about that. I think two AAA games (like the ones offered), an indie and a PSVR title would be enough to make most people happy.

I meant, it wasn't tied to the membership the way PS+ free games usually are (where you need to have an active subscription to play). If you got it during the price error, you got to keep it. And that was the Complete version.

I like that I'm downloading all this Surge DLC for a game that I probably will never download or never get to play if I do download it.

 
Several PSP games in my wishlist (Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare) are suddenly not available for purchase. (Suddenly being relative, haven't checked in a week but they were available a week ago) Anyone know what's up with that?

I don't see what the point of giving those super hard games out like The Surge on PS+ is. I would think that at this point, those few weirdos that are into that kind of tough as nails stuff would have gotten the game by now.  Maybe it'd make sense if they timed the PS+ release with a patch that made the game easier for the masses?

I just went through my dl list and all sting titles are still available for download, just not in the store anymore.

Shame for those that don't have them, sting titles are all unique takes on their genres.

I mean they gave Modern Warfare last month, doesn't get much more main stream than that. But yeah ultimately that's the biggest problem with the 2 game lineup, they can't tick off every box each month. Cause even though it was 2 games per platform we all know the lineup was actually 3-5 PS4 games a month because of crossplay. Was easier to have a wider variety of games that way.

It's a double edged sword. In some ways I prefer getting these obscure games that I'd like to try but wouldn't feel comfortable spending money on. The risk with giving out games with mass appeal is that you run the risk of most people already owning the game.

The Great Indoors sale probably is our Spring sale. This happened last year. The US got the Great Indoors sale, then the following week most other regions got an Easter sale. Different names at slightly different times, but it amounts to every region getting one major sale around this time.

I don't know guys we had an epic Easter Flash Sale last year. People waited and waited all week, even in to the weekend. Nothing.

They can do both with artsy games like when Abzu was free. I'd never buy that game, but it was a nice freebie. Too often they're games that are just completely unoriginal concepts that don't stand out as anything more than a watered down version of XYZ.

 
I wonder what sony will even do for this years golden week.  I can't recall anything I wanted in the last one but that was a year ago.

For anybody interested in some reading material, the Boss Fight books are generally great and the new Humble Bundle features a bunch of them. My favorites of the bunch are the Spelunky book by its creator Derek Yu that is a great history of the game from its inception to the final product and the Shadow of the Colossus book by Team Ico historian Nick Suttner that is a great history of the game's development and its many secrets.

 
The big Borderlands Handsome Collection update with PS4 Pro support is out now, though it doesn't do the upgrade with the update. It adds a high res texture pack to the DLC page that you can buy for free to download and enable it, which is a 15.8 GB download. The patch also adds a upsell page to try to get you to pre-order Borderlands 3 when you go to the main menu for either game and a big banner at the top of either game's main menu.

 
I don't think it was mentioned but letter quest remastered is bundled with another game and was pretty cheap. around 3 or 4$with plus discount.  I'm enjoying it.  scrabble meets rpg.

Do arcade archive and NeoGeo games ever go on sale on psn? It seems Xbox recently started including some in their weekly sales, Ive been buying them all. I just rather have them on my PS4.

I would have bought Borderlands 1 again for $20 but $30 is a bit much for a game that's 10 years old. I am super hyped for 3 as well though. Might even try to take a vacation from work that week.

Normally I would agree, but being that the physical copy is a Gamestop exclusive, it's either buy it now and get a sealed copy or wait for the price to drop and then struggle to find a copy that's not gutted.

I don’t want to scour through every one of them to check, but I’ve been looking for sales on them also and I don’t remember any going on sale.
