Any thoughts on transistor ps4 and risk of rain ps4?
I'll be the guy with the Transistor avatar that says you should really play it. It is one of my favorites from the early PS4 days, and the music is delightful. You may want to watch a video on youtube about the combat, as it is a bit non-traditional, but it's easy to get a hang of. There is also a thing about people not liking the game's means of narration. For reference, the main character is mute, so most of the narration comes from the sword she carries. Who knows, you may end up loving it like I did. For $5 I'd say its worth it.

Should definitely pick up Transistor, made by Supergiant Games who did Bastion. Can't see the price but it's definitely a good pickup.

RIsk of Rain is mindless fun and pretty good if you like a roguelike platform shooter.

Really tempted on Hyper Light Drifter at that price, but I'm not sure I want it on PS4 versus X1 or Switch.  It's not yet out on the Switch which seems like a great fit for that type of game and it probably I'm guessing runs the same on PS4 versus X1.  Decisions, decisions...

I also have a Switch, so when buying games I consider a couple things:

First - trophies. I’d rather get the trophies for the game, so if it’s on both, I’ll get it on my Sony console.

Second - the Switch tax. EVERYTHING is more expensive on Nintendo consoles. First party especially, but third party too. Nintendo seems to like that bigger cut and is pretty unwavering about it.

Third - how it runs. If it’s an indie game like this, it’s really your preference, but if it’s a AAA game like Wolfenstein, there’s just no way I’d pay more for a worse version of the game.

Had the same thought, but then remembered it will take 3-4 years for the Switch version to get to this price.

Which state is a no sales tax state?
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon. I remember as a fairly young kid visiting my great uncle in Delaware and was surprised they had no sales tax. He was close to Maryland and when we went to stores there they collected sales tax.

Life is Strange 2: Episode 1 out 9/27. Just when you thought your September couldn't get any more full.

Preorders will go live around the same time The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is released for free next week.

New Hampshire sounds tempting with no sales or income tax. Their property taxes are fairly high though.

Any thoughts on Divinity? How is it with a controller? While I Haven’t played a pc game in a couple years, it used to be my go to for games, especially these types of games. However I’ve never really played a game like this with a controller before.

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know: New Gundam Breaker is fuckING TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRIBLE. Avoid at all cost, holy shit, it is insane how much they bungled it.

Here I was thinking this will be my first gundam game on ps4 after watching me 08th MS team series.
Just import Breaker 3 if you want the action-RPG/customization element (it's all in English) or play Gundam Versus if you want that kind of arena battle gameplay.

It is seriously insane how terrible New Breaker is. I can tolerate a mediocre Gundam game, but this is straight-up the worst game I've played in a long time.

Let's say I've got a physical copy of Horizon Zero Dawn but it's the EU version. Is that going to be compatible with the Frozen Wilds DLC I bought on my US PSN account?

Nope for sure on different region DLC.
That's what I thought. I got HZD for Christmas and wasn't going to play it until the DLC went down in price. Took a closer look at the game last night and it seems they ordered the EU version by mistake. Way too late for a return, guess I'll have to find a way to sell it so I can buy a US version.

Would GS even look at that?

Just finished this up have to say I'm disappointed. Pretty cool for a free intro, but curious and nervous how it will play out in LIS2 proper.
I thought it was awesome. For a free demo, I couldn't really ask for anything more. I got about 2 hours of enjoyment out of it (not including trying to crack that damn cell phone code). After the disappointment that was Vampyr, Dontnod has got my money for LiS2.

Since Max and Chloe's story has already concluded, I'm guessing it's going to focus on Chris as a teenager? Perhaps trying to go back and save his family.

By the way, the cell phone code is
HAWTDAWG. The only indication of this comes at the very end of the end credits.

But whats your high score on Mustard Party 2?

what about it was disappointing?

i almost got it, but then decided against it with my backlog and just having gone back to witcher 3 after 3 years lol
Besides being boring and bland, and the combat feeling stiff and repetitive, the excessive load times were infuriating and inexcusable. Not just after you die, but when you go through a door, or sometimes just randomly during gameplay. I think I was mostly disappointed because this was my third Day 1 purchase of the year (after the excellent God of War and Detroit: Become Human), and in many ways, it reminded me of a last generation title.

If you do play it though, I recommend
you spare all citizen's lives until chapter 6. Then create a manual backup save before the final battle (there is no chapter select). It's the only way to get the platinum unless you want to play through the entire 14+ hour adventure all over again.

325! But I only played it three times.

Talos principle trophies are annoying. Who puts missable trophies in a puzzle game? If I want to platinum I'm going to have to redo like 60 puzzles or more

Thanks to everyone who recommended Nioh. I played the opening and got through the tutorial, and I'm loving it so far. Pretty difficult but not entirely brutal, just enough to make you think and have a sense of satisfaction when clearing an area. Great game!

Funny because I bought Vampyr and while playing it I got a sudden urge to finish Witcher 3 after almost 2 years. Got the Plat but I'm still playing through the DLC. Blood and Wine is so big it could have had its own Platinum.

Thanks for the tip about Vampyr as I plan on getting back to it before September. I'm assuming you have the Plat?
