The next debate for the PSN thread enthusiasts is: PS+ - Are you owning or renting the games?

Next week, we will return to "Walking Simulators - How good are they for Cardio workout?", followed by "TLoU - Is it really the last?"

Enjoy!

Yeah when my gcu expires, so does any best buy purchases from me.

Unless... they do in fact replace gcu with something new, if its decent, like they said they are. (I doubt it)
I still miss the Kmart Loop back when they were giving out coupons with new purchases. I was buying every new release from them, and we were doing a lot of shopping there since we were there anyway. It was absolutely fantastic

Then they shut the program down. Never went back. The store is closed now.

Man, that was a while ago. I remember it was going when Vanquish first released

Same with me. That guy used to come on CaG and promote their deals big time. It was great.

You didn't get them for free. You are renting them for as long as you have your PS+ subscription. I would like a permanent license so I can still play them long after PS+ goes the way of the dodo.
Then you're doing something wrong. I got mine for free. I have a feeling it depends on how pedantic you are. Sony rightfully punishes the pedantic by not giving them games for free. the rest of us are rewarded with free games to further spite you.

I blame the K-Mart loop for my backlog. I seriously never bought as many games as frequently before the K-Mart loop. Once that went away, the backlog didn't stop growing, it was just a switch to a new dealer for my gaming fix.

I was the same. Even had the wife hunting for me. Lol

We all have something to blame for our backlogs. Mine was Goozex around the PS2 era. I was a poorer college student at the time, and that trading lead to a lot of games I wouldn't have been able to play. I didn't play all my trades, though I did play maybe about 85% of them. Eventually the PS3 era came and I had a job and it went downhill from there. Now just a lot of games on Vita/PS3/PS4/3DS and PC for me along with the stowaways of the PS2 era and even some PS1/Genesis games as well.

Humble Bundle and the like exploded my PC gaming library to bad heights though lol.

Yeah, the bundle sites blew up my Steam Library. I think I had less than 30 titles before bundles, and then those came alone and now I'm over 3,000. Oh, plus the Steam store sales back when they actually gave significant discounts of 75% off or more, not these insulting 50% things they've been doing over the last half a decade.

I remember Goozex. Lol. Whatever happened to that site?

I think honestly people stopped trading in games for points and the points became worthless with not enough supply. I think they sold discounted points as well. I used it at a good time, at least, since the supply for things were pretty good. I remember seeing it a month before it died, and it was just a bunch of garbage DVD movies and 1 or 2 old shovelware games.

You're right. I do remember that. Onece they started selling points it all went to hell.

I trade on gametz, which is a really great trading site with no middle men, just Direct person to person. It's also good for keeping track of your collection. Getting into trading is probably what started my backlog, along with low ball auctions on this site.

But really, I think the problem is I often enjoy researching games more than playing them. I like the idea of them. I like chasing the next great game, but in between there are many games I play, and like well-enough, but don't necessarily love. So searching and looking and hoping can be more fun then finding out a game doesn't live up to my expectations

I am the exact way. Damn. Way to out how I feel into words. I'm at the point iny life where I make really good money so can buy all the games but don't have enough free time to play the games I buy. I guess I'm really just buying games now. Haven't beat a game since the last Killzone. Lol

So searching and looking and hoping can be more fun then finding out a game doesn't live up to my expectations

Dang that PS+ lineup is right up my alley for the most part. Especially happy about Absolver as I always wanted to try it but when I read the single player stuff was only a small part of the game I decided against it. Deception has always looked fun too but just one of those games I never bought and tried.

Also the backlog saves me again, have almost bought ZTD a few times but knew I wouldn't play it anytime soon. Now I don't have to worry.

After Beyond: Two Souls being a PS+ game, I was actually hoping that the two pack might actually be on sale this month. Kinda disappointed they're making Heavy Rain as a free one this month. Even longer now before the two pack goes on sale again. :(
Really surprised they're doubling down on Quantic Dream so soon, but now I don't feel so bad for not getting Heavy Rain with the Detroit digital bundle. Still waiting forever for Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy to go on sale, though.

I trade on gametz, which is a really great trading site with no middle men, just Direct person to person. It's also good for keeping track of your collection. Getting into trading is probably what started my backlog, along with low ball auctions on this site.

I used to trade on there. But I stopped buying games I was willing to get rid of and nobody wants old PS2 sports games and music CDs so I basically stopped trying to make trades happen. Glad to see it's still working for someone though.

I remember the coupon train fondly as well. Only problem, at my Kmart at least, was never knowing if the game was going to be in the case when the store opened or if I'd have to wait while the employee dug it out of the backroom. Of course certain CAGs were bitching because they thought the coupon program was killing clearances.

Same with me. That guy used to come on CaG and promote their deals big time. It was great.

Josh was his name I believe. Cool guy and I believe he won a CAG award once and some weren't happy about that either.

Leave it to CAG people to be outraged about something.

I used to trade games on gamestz back in the late 90’s. It was a different world back then. I remember trading a guy my Saturn for his N64. I sent my Saturn and he never sent the N64. When I told him I was going to the police (I was only in my mid-teens so it was an empty threat) he told me he’d send my Saturn back. He sent a Saturn back, it wasn’t mine though. The only way I could get it to work was by turning it upside down to play. I had a great bunch of trades on there before that though.

I used the free points I got on there to get somebody to send me a complete copy of GH2 for the Xbox 360 with the guitar for very cheap with the points to dollar conversion, from what I can recall. I remember the person sending it was complaining about the cost of shipping, but that wasn't my problem.

That was my question: is there a decent fight stick out there that’s not over $100?
Probably not. I hear the Qanba Drone is pretty good considering it’s a $60 fightstick, but if you want a quality stick you can feel comfortable using for hours, I would say $150 is your target. There’s better Hori and Qanba sticks in that range. Sometimes you’ll get them for as cheap as $100 on sale if you keep your ear to the ground.

Never have an issue, thankfully. I have enough feedback that I am eitherr trading with someone who has even more perfect feedback, or else they are shipping first and it is zero risk. new users should just trade with gold star users, trouble only really happens when 2 new users trade with each other.

Anyone else hype for The Crew 2? Seeing a lot of hate for it but I played the beta and enjoyed it so much I pre-ordered.

I’m a bit out of the loop with PS4. I upgraded to PS4 Pro last week but they only gave me a lousy two day PS Plus Trial. I’d like to grab King of Fighters XIV during the sale. Is there any way of getting another free trial just so I can grab it or am I s.o.l.?

Unless they changed it, you’re only able to use one PS+ trial per account. Unlike Xbox which you can use as many Gold trials as much as you can.

how is it obvious, especially when you can hear his thoughts and his thoughts don't match up to what he would really think?
With any murder mystery, some amount of the audience will guess the actual murderer, perhaps by chance. Those people will always think that it was obvious, even if it wasn't.
