Hi everyone.  Awesome post and great work collecting all of those deals!

So looking at Darksiders, I have both but the standard editions on PS3... Yet the ps plus price is really tempting for the PS4 port.  Do ya'll think its worth it?

And whats the difference in the Darksiders: Fury's Collection pack versus buying them separate?  Getting the games separate is cheaper than the collection pack, no matter the discount status.  Does Fury's Collection have something different?

I've had more luck buying games for the PS4 that I already owned and played on PS3 then I have games which I owned but have not played. In other words, I'm more likely to replay a game that I loved then I am to finally play a game I've already ignored for 5 or 10 years.

That said, I'm also more likely to play a game I rebuy on PS4 then I am to dust off my PS3.

As 2 your specific question, I loved the first Darksiders. I only lasted an hour or 3 on the sequel because everything seemed to take far too long to walk to. I think there's also too much junk you need to pick up if I recall correctly, not unlike the recent dragons age.

I fully agree with this take on re-buying PS3 games for PS4. At the very least it extends their life in the backlog by a few years

Any opinions on Lock’s Quest? Looks interesting and I grabbed it since it was so cheap but have no idea what I’m in for long term.

I also grabbed the Giana sisters bundle with rogue stormers.

This review sold me, but it lacks a plat which sucks, but the game itself looks good especially at that price.

Thanks for the input! So I take it it'll be better to purchase the games separately instead of getting them both in the Fury's Collection since there isn't a difference between the two methods besides price?

It seems they were trying to take a Diablo formula to Darksiders 2. War didn't need all that gear, he just got stronger overtime while Death wanted to pillage and plunder, lol. Yet the formula seemed to work very well with God of War where it once wasn't loot focused.

I haven't played them yet on PS3 either, they are collecting dust on the shelf. I'll turn on my PS3 very occasionally but only to play games that didn't get ported or remastered, like Kingdoms of Amalur and Puppeteer.

Lock's Quest on PS4/XB1 is supposed to suffer huge frame-rate drops that make the game unplayable when there's too many enemies on screen. This might not effect you if you play on normal, but it's been widely reported on Hard during the later waves.

And if you're a trophy hunter, definitely sit this one out. Multiple glitched trophies that no one as ever obtained. Check it out:

For the price I picked up Lock's Quest. Didn't realize the same map is played multiple times in a row so I have a terrible design and will restart. The frames feel off but so far it has been fun. RPG and Tower Defense for $2 is my cup of noodles

Why does it seem like whoever structures these flash sales hasn't left their office in months, if not years? Most of what's on sale has already been on sale countless times before in previous flash sales or been part of PS+ lineups. :wall:

pretty sure game sales are mostly stuck to whatever publisher permits it or wants it and psn is just the taco truck

it's why some games are literally on sale every other week and why some never go on sale

one of the crappy parts of digital I suppose

 
Some decent deals, lots of PS3 stuff, but I own most of the PS4 games already.  That need for speed price might be low enough to bite.

Exactly. Sony has nothing to do with it except for the games they publish.

 
These are the cheapest prices we've seen for Firewatch and Persona 4: Golden so I'll probably snatch those up. I fully expect this will cause them to both be PS+ titles within the next few months.

Persona 4 Golden matches it's previous low from march, Firewatch is technically a new low, though last time it was on sale you could stack it with a 20% live.playstation coupon resulting in a comparable or slightly lower price than today's pricing.

Is the Jak and Daxter bundle worth getting at 15.99?  I just got a PS4 Pro the other week (yes because of God of War) and Im looking to fill out my library.  

From just looking it looks like this is the cheapest its been

If you’ve never played the series before I would just get Jax 1 and ignore he rest. Honestly the franchise has not aged as well as sly or ratchet. Couldn’t get into it

I just booted up Jak 2 the other day on my PS3 Jak collection - games have come a long way since then, also some wonky camera control and some pretty unforgiving checkpoints. Not saying its bad but beware.

 
Ugh... why won't they stay out my wallet!  All these sales.... did anybody catch when the Flash Sale ends?  Not trying to buy anything until May 20.

They really trying to make me dust off my 250GB PS3 and delete stuff to make room, lol.

 
Sorry to keep posting.... I'm mulling over Firewatch.  It is really all that?  Because once I was gonna get 'Edith Finch' but after research found that I might not have enjoyed it.  Is Firewatch the hype?

I really liked Edith Finch and found it great. I bought Firewatch bundle the week or two after I got Edith and... it's nowhere near as good. It's interesting in the beginning, but found it boring/bland aside from that. There's also bad stuttering issues which made the experience even worse.

I would say the dynamic theme justified the money I spent on the bundle, because that theme is fantastic and I'm still using it to this day.
